I would give this business ZERO STARS. They installed sliding doors at my property a few years ago and are refusing to honor the "lifetime warranty" that was hand written on my signed proposal. Their customer service is the worst. They do not return phone calls. Check the CLSB as their CA Contractors Lic has been expired since Jan of 2026 and they are still actively working on job sites. Can't speak to their products or workmanship, however their office does not seem to be interested in procuring new business. Contacted Forrest Windows to schedule an estimate. First call I was informed someone would call back to schedule. Second call was scheduled for an estimate and advised I would receive a call at 830 in the morning with an ETA. Waited for a few hours and no word. When I contacted the office I was told that "they would call you if they had time today." The office might not be a reflection of their products and workmanship but it does not engender confidence that their will be good communication or timely response. They were surprisingly quick to understand our needs, send someone to measure and provide an estimate. We were still getting bids from other companies and they did not pressure us at all. When we accepted the estimate a couple weeks later, they were able to order the glass and install it in an amazingly quick time. The installers were fast, efficient, and fun to be around. I had a Milgard window that had a broken locking latch, and it was old enough that spare parts were no longer available for it. I took it to Forrest Windows to see what could be done about replacing the window. I was told that they could replace the whole window, but that it wouldn't match the rest of the windows in the house. Or, they could remove the latch mechanism and we could use it as is. The window still locks, it just down not have the second locking mechanism (that is no longer used by Milgard, as it was a hazard to children potentially getting trapped in fires). Shawn removed the broken latch, resealed the frame, and didn't charge me a thing to do the job. I would recommend Forrest Windows to anyone, and I know where I am going when I have more window issues. Thanks Guys! read more

From day one this company and staff are professionals. I had 3 companies give me quotes and although the prices are similar, the installers (Mike and Travis) know windows and have done a superb job. I'll keep it brief: We spent $5k to have them replace half of the windows on our house. Several of the newly installed windows needed repair, there was a ton of air coming through and they whistle terribly any time the wind would kick up. When we called Forrest Windows to let them know, they said they would get us on the schedule. They never did. We've called 4-5 times since then and they won't return our calls. So here we are with faulty windows and a warranty they won't fulfill. Please save yourself the trouble and hire someone else. I sure wish we did. read more

We had Mike and his team install a retrofit Milgard sliding door and matching window above it back in February. They did a great job and made it look beautiful! They were very professional and took pride in their work. We have had no problems with the door or window. Very pleased. Two years ago, we also had Forrest Windows install eight windows throughout the main living area of our house. They did excellent work then as well. They were careful not to trample the plants that I had growing outside in front of the windows. We have had no problems with leaks since the windows were installed. We checked out their showroom in Orangevale and asked for any updates to our estimate plus I called multiple times. Even after many months, I still cannot seem to get a quote or even call back. It's a loss for them since we were looking at an expensive sliding wall system and many doors replaced.
