They were very professional and took pride in their work. We have had no problems with the door or window. Very pleased. They were careful not to trample the plants that I had growing outside in front of the windows. We have had no problems with leaks since the windows were installed. We wanted multiple sliding doors updated and they were responsive on the phone and showed up for the estimate. We checked out their showroom in Orangevale and asked for any updates to our estimate plus I called multiple times. Even after many months, I still cannot seem to get a quote or even call back. It's a loss for them since we were looking at an expensive sliding wall system and many doors replaced. I wouldn't recommend calling them - even if you manage to get a quote, they seem unreliable and flaky. read more

Shawn was very sympathetic to my situation and was able to schedule me to have a technician fix it within three days. Requested an online quote on a Patio French Door to Forrest Windows. One of the owners responded quickly and asked that I email him photos of my current patio door and what my project replacement door plan was. I did this and did not get a response back for a few days. I called the store and advised an employee who was very pleasant, who had me forward the email them and they would see that someone got back to me. Several days went by, then a couple of weeks and no response. This is just poor customer service. If they did not want a $7000 - $7500 job to sell me and install a patio french door, all they had to do is call me or email me and tell me they didn't want the job. That was not done. I used Forrest Windows 5 years ago to replace some fogged dual pane window panels. They did great work then. I have two more window panels now with the same problem. I left both a voicemail and sent an email 4 days ago to set up visit for a quote. Unfortunately its 4 days later and I haven't had a response to either of my inquiries. I called another local vendor in Folsom today who answered the phone and set up my appointment. I purposely made the effort to give repeat business to Forrest Windows based on my prior repair, its unfortunate they could not respond, because they do seem to do good work when they engage. read more

I called Forrest Windows recently after the tremendous rain storm. I had a small amount of water drip down my bathroom window during the rain & wind. Since they installed the windows 9 years ago to my total satisfaction, I asked them to check on the "leak". Brandon came out in 3 days & discovered clogged drain holes which caused the tracks to be overwhelmed by the huge amount of rain we got. He explained all this to me, cleared the track & left with "no charge". They continue to have wonderful customer service like they did during the initial windows installation. So... I bought a lovely set of Milgard French Doors on Craigslist. Installed them and had the deadbolt rekeyed. When I reinstalled the re-keyed deadbolt, the key turned the lock but the deadbolt didn't move. I called 4 locksmiths and no one could help me - 2 of them actually came and looked at it and were unable to fix the problem. Was referred by Milgard to Forrest to see if they could help. Took a video of my dilemma to Shawn at Forrest and in 2 seconds, he told me what the problem was (that the lever handle had to be pulled up first so as to engage the mortise locks, then the deadbolt would work.) Went home, did as he said and voila. Worked perfectly. I am indebted to Shawn for his expertise - he helped happily, with skill and interest and I couldn't be more grateful. Had it not been for my video ,photos and surveillance cameras I would have thought they did a better job knowing that I had a 5year warranty with Forrest Windows and a lifetime warranty with Millard. Forrest Windows came out to measure in November 2021, told us our windows would not be in until January, which we were alright with. So we made a deposit. January came and went, they didn't even contact us. We had to reach out to them- then they told us they had an additional three months after the original date. Ok, we were patient and continued to wait. Mind you, they never reached out to us once. We contacted them again in May 2022- which is four months after the scheduled install and asked for our deposit back because we are out of the scheduling contract time and we found someone else that can put windows in within a couple months. Forrest threatened to put a lean on our home, claiming it was in our contract, which had ended and they did not do a thing to improve our home, and has been dodging our calls for our deposit ever since because they do not have any legal ground to stand on. read more

I'm one who doesn't take the time to post things on Yelp or any other sites, but I felt it was necessary to do one. When I had my windows installed about a year ago, I was going to write a review, I'm glad I didn't. Let me start with thanking the team at Forest Windows. Never once did I feel like I was being left in the dark. I was given a detailed description of what was going to happen and how it was going to look, along with the noise canceling and insulation benefits. Not once. did the team not do what they said they were going to do. Mr. Watkins couldn't have been better with describing what a big difference these windows would make. So after a year, the difference is just remarkable. Street and airplane noise are almost non existencent. My energy bills have dwindled. The only gripe I have is that I forgot that I had a screen door, not the antique French doors and walked into it fairly forcely and tor the screen. Shawn took care of the tear at no cost to me. I needed a new screen door for my outdoor slider & went to Forrest. They had a nice extruded aluminum frame screen for a great price that was ready in a week. When I brought it home, I found that the holes for the wheel adjustment screws were offset so I couldn't adjust them. This wasn't their fault as the screen is made by another company. I brought it back to get the holes enlarged & they had it ready in one day. This new door slides smoothly & is a huge improvement from what I had. read more

Got a flyer stuffed in the mail. Called probably within an hour of getting the flyer. Prices seemed great until we asked them to come out and quote to commit for our job. Being we had quotes from others(orangevale glass, kidwells glass, dicks rancho glass, who all were courteous) At that point we were told "we are not interested" and the conversation turned to them being rude, and telling me to call "orangevale glass" Seems to me if you are running around stuffing mail boxes with flyers, that you are advertising to bring "in" business. I called Milgard Window Company to have some windows replaced. They informed me that they don't install the windows but they gave me the phone numbers of several Milgard installers. After speaking with a few we decided to go with Forrest Window Company. Once they got the windows they scheduled a couple days for installation, they were punctual, professional and left the areas clean. We had a total of 9 windows installed and the wood trim replaced. They look great. I was home during the install and they definitely knew what they were doing. I would and will recommend this company to friends and family.
