Windshield replacement. Excellent service, workmanship, and price. Highly recommended.

Called for my slider that was jamming on Thursday as soon as they opened. Was told a tech would be out same day and they would call when they were on their way. Never heard from them that day or the next. Very poor follow through. read more

Kidwell's did an excellent job installing our windows. Steven took great care of us from the very beginning, asking what we wanted and discussing options. We had windows replaced in 2 bedrooms, the dining room, living room, office, spa room, and a great room. The entire staff was communicative, professional, and friendly. They worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up everything before they left. I'm looking forward to getting the rest of our windows replaced through Kidwell's. read more

We had the windshield and back glass on our 1959 Ford F100 replaced by Kidwell's. Quality of the service was amazing. They did a fantastic job installing the seals and keeping the chrome intact. They also charged a very reasonable price for the install. Would highly recommend !!! We would definitely use them again if we had a need for glass service again. read more

I brought my car in for a windshield replacement. They put on a windshield that couldn't be calibrated with the safety features in my car. Since I needed the car right away and could not wait for them to get new insurance approval I was stuck paying out-of-pocket. It would've been better to leave the old windshield on rather than replace with something that didn't work for the car. It was their mistake, but I had to pay for it read more

Home window and shower glass review Spent lots of money on home windows and a shower door with this company and frankly the money was not well spent, and I have left is regrets. These people are not good at what they do and here's some facts. First off, rather than waiting for all the windows to come in and finishing it in 2-3 days or even over a week. They scheduled a date, when they showed up, they didn't order the right amount of glass. They had to reorder and come back. We have to wait another month. They don't have that many windows to do, and again they can't even finish in two days on the second attempt. They gave us a time frame in the day like 3 pm, they wouldn't show up till 5, and then it would rain, and they would have to cancel. Not only the rain, but they would come up with last minute excuses to why they can't make the time THEY scheduled with us. Quality of work, part one. The photos speak for themselves. Very very sloppy. When you do this type of work, it's about the little details. They clearly can't bead a straight line of caulking, it's ok for one window to be sloppy, but almost every window has sloppy caulking. Another window, they put in so loose, you could wobble it very easy, luckily they were able to redo and fix it, but it was so wobbly on the first try you could almost push it with force and the window could pop out. Quality of work part two. Very bad shower door. We ordered a new glass shower door from them, they decided to put up a frameless door which is what they recommended and he warned us it might look ugly, and guess what? It looked terrible because frameless doesn't cover holes in the tile, that the previous shower door had a frame cover to cover the holes. The previous shower door had a frame, and they decided to put a completely different type of shower door and I truly wish we never had them install it. There's actually even more negative things I could say about this company, but I'm going to stop here. To homeowners out there making decisions out there, take your time, do your research, and most importantly don't rush into because sometimes when you start a new project sometimes it causes more problems than benefits, truly Lastly, it pains me to bad reviews on small businesses but this is truth. read more

We called to get a quote and got one immediately. To our surprise they were able to fit us in same day to hang a large mirror in our home gym. My first time here, they did a good job getting my windshield chrome on. It's aftermarket trim so not perfect but they did the best they could. Windshield got ruined being pulled out, they only charged me $100 for a new one. Only complaint I would have is that they don't sock molding clips, I had to provide my own. In my opinion they should have 20 sets in stock considering they do mostly classics. 5* I won't be going anywhere where else from now on. Thanks guys read more

I had the best service, prompt and the installer was a really nice guy. He even made sure that my windshield GoPro mount was saved. Jenny set it up the work order day before and Dan was the office guy that followed through, total pros. Their price was also reasonable. Hopefully I won't need another windshield replacement in the near future, but if you do, check these folks out. read more

This review is for Kidwells Glass on Greenback Lane in Orangevale. I needed to have one edge of a 2-foot round glass table top reduced by 1/8-inch. I brought the glass table top into the shop at 4:30 p.m. one day and they called me the next morning at 9 a.m. saying the job was ready for pickup. The original estimate was $50. The final charge was $35, which included a military discount. I am very pleased with the quality of the work and the quick turnaround time. read more

I brought both of my cars here, older volvo and newer mustang. One broken window and one with a water leak caused by a damaged seal. The tech and the young lady up front were both great with my questions(I know nothing about glasswork), and the actual service was super speedy on both occasions. Prices were also lower than I expected each visit. Can't ask for much more, highly recommended! read more

"Pinky the Tinter" did an excellent job tinting the windows of my car. The price was right and the quality work was completed while I waited. I made an appointment and it only took him about a couple of hours and I was back on the road again! He also took the time to explain to me the proper care and also how I could get hard water spots off of the exterior of my windows. My tint is guaranteed for life!!! I drive a 1983 Mercedes 300sd sedan and my windshield was cracked in two spots. I couldn't find anyone who was willing to touch my car because the seals on the windshield and back window are apparently super hard to do correctly, but kidwells not only did it, he did it the same week I called and it looks perfect! He was also willing to work with my schedule to do it!! I am so incredibly grateful for them. I called over 10 other places and they wouldn't even consider replacing it. Kidwell glass beat the price that Safelite gave to me by about 50%. Thats right, my lincoln navigator had a crack in it and I reported it to my allstate insurance company. My deductible was too high to cover the replacement and so I asked Allstate who they used, it was Safelite. I asked Safelite what my allstate price would be - they quoted $450. I drove into Kidwells and asked the same question - $250. No brainer, I made an appointment and Kidwell's had my navigator finished in a few hours. Score! read more

yay, they fixed my glass crack. I remember the rock that hit me. It hit on a day I had to drive home early with a migraine and the whopper of a rock slammed into my car at 70+ MPH. And my windshield stopped it. Like a force field v. torpedo. Otherwise not only would have have these stupid blind spots, I'd probably be missing an eyeball. I had a crack that looked like a sci-fi channel ad. It looked like a cross between a cylon raider/patrol star and a Romulan warbird. The more it grew, the bigger it got, the harder it was to see through this giant California Condor of a crack. My Navajo Thunderbird of a crack. Massive crack- action. I wish I had a picture. I am the dumb. If sci-fi fans were anything like catholics and the virgin, I'd be rich for charging viewing fees. Anyway, they totally fixed it. I have a beautiful new windshield and they recommended I get a sun filter (spf 35 or so) for my rear window. I might do it, they didn't give me a hard sell (it's $160 to do the full rear section of a honda civic, but a dog like mine would ruin it in about 2 minutes with a paw, so I'd only do the rear window.) I might get the film applied before summer gets ridiculous. Beyond that, they will be who I go to when I need a crack fixed. They also have a mobile service (but you need access to an electric outlet because they need to be able to vaccuum any broken glass out of your car.) Rock on, Kidwell's! read more

One of the best businesses i have used. I build high end classic and custom cars for a living. Dan has always gone out of his way to ensure the cars glass, weatherstrip and tint (if needed) look the very best.
