We were also…read morereferred by our agent to use Mark Miller to conduct our home inspection and he did a terrible job. After being at the home for more than four hours Mark and his assistant missed major items that ended up costing us dearly after we moved in. His report was 68 pages long, and listed simple things like window balance springs missing while overlooking major issues like water leaks in the ceiling and previous water damage in the second floor bathroom, water drip sounds behind a wall in another bathroom, faulty electrical outlets, and hanging gutters, etc. Mark never even went into the attic to inspect it or the heating unit. He checked the heat and air by turning on the thermostat. His summation was that the house was fine and just needed some TLC. At a price tag of more than 1M we expected more. Steer clear of this company as they get their business from agent referrals, but actually work to ensure the home is sold. I trusted the judgment of my agent when he'd already set up an appointment with Mark before allowing me the opportunity to find my own home inspector. That should've been a sign. In today's real estate market it's all about the sale, so be on the lookout of being duped by your agent and home inspector.

Gerald (and maybe his team?) had responded promptly with price and what to expect. On the day of the service, he showed up on time and thoroughly inspected the space. Ran water tests, remarked on electrical panel & electrical outlets, tested dishwasher and stove, and checked on the A/C unit. My realtor was there looking around as well. Overall, I think the inspection went well and I was informed of things I needed to keep an eye on and little and big details that I may want to change in the future. A water pipe broke on MLK Day in which I needed to shut the water off…read more The plumber I have been using for years came out the next day and said they didn't have the man power help me. The pipe was enclosed in concrete on which the washer and dryer sat. Plus, I have a concrete footing they would have needed to navigate around to reroute the pipe. The second plumber quoted me $6,200 which included going around the footing (to avoid tearing into the concrete floor) and opening one of the walls, approximately two feet, to reroute the pipe. Repairing the walls was excluded from the $6,200. A third plumber's solution was to open two walls and the ceiling to reroute the pipe up and over. That was a non-starter. I found New Design Plumbing (NDP) from a friend who's also a general contractor. The sent two people out who crawled underneath house and took pictures and video. The next morning, Thursday, Juan arrived to verify the pictures/video from they day before and to take a look for himself. NDP ended up going around the footing and up threw the washer/dryer wall but, they made a small hole for a new fixture vs. tearing the wall open. Because of their schedule, the work was going to happen four days later but, two members of the crew were able to come earlier. All told, they were there about six hours and finished on Thursday for a fraction of the cost. The plumbing company we've been using for years I'm going to set aside and start using NDP. I'm very happy with the quality of their work and response time.

The ordering was very easy and our door guy - stewart, made the process very easy. The wait seemed forever but it was soooo well worth it! Of course this was pricey but you get everything u pay for. Once we got the door and installed there were a few hiccups, such as the locks being different and waiting for the painting of the door. Even now it's been weeks and today we are finalizing everything... But I am a sucker for good service and the door painters were amazing and took their time!!
