I had to give one star no choice otherwise it get zero stars. Over 15 failed to pick on times last year and we are working on another 15 this year .. current garbage has sat on curb for two weeks now. Yet still come tax time the bill is the same. Great customer service, easy access to location to throw my trash away . The price to throw my garbage was awesome

We had to get rid of a bunch of stuff because we are moving out of state. The process was pretty easy. You drive up to the check in and let them know what you are getting rid of. They give you a ticket and direct you to the dump. You drive up to the area where there is several parking stalls. You show your ticket to the attendant and they show you which stall to park at. When you get there right off the parking spot is there is a huge metal shipping container where you throw in your items. It's pretty fun to see your once beloved items into the bin. The crash and bang gives you a sense of accomplishment. Of course, I tried to donate as much as I could before taking it to the dump but unfortunately most of the local Goodwill were not accepting any furniture. We also tried to sell our furniture on offer up. Overall, my husband and I over three trips to the dump were able to get rid of 1,000 pounds of our crap. All for the whopping amount of $18.00 total. So if you have anything you can't donate or sell I highly suggest coming here. read more

I have never dealt with a worst company that this one! They didn't come down my road to pick up my neighbors or my trash on bulk pick up are bulk trash on 10 December 2020! I contacted the trash company and informed them that they miss my street on the same day and was told that they would contact the route supervisor and notify them that the bulk trash had not been picked up! A return follow up call was never made to let us know when they would be back to pick the garbage up! There was on returned call and no one had any attention on doing so. Again called back on 11 December 2020 on the same issue to have the garbage picked up, but again no returned phone call or concern on doing so! Again believe it or not.....14 December 2020 yet again no call or follow up was done and attitudes started to be show because I had ask again on 15 December 2020 what was the status and again no follow up phone call ! If these people were on my pay roll, they would not be working for me any longer! There is a total lack of concern and leadership within this company! No employee accountability or work ethics as a customer service base company! If I could give negative stars to this company I would! Sad leadership from the top down! Employees attitude and follow through is from the lack of good leadership! This is my first review so you know how bad it is! Leadership needs to reflect on their ability to lead! Totally UnSat! Once a year (not so much like Willy Wonka's factory) the Orange County Landfill opens its doors to the public for a recycling day. This event was pretty well advertised and was recommended by friends who went in the past. We arrived at the landfill just after the event started at 10:00. There were signs all the way from Dean Road to point us in the right direction and once we pulled into the facility there were employees directing us where to go to park. We were greeted and asked to sign in for our group (we brought a bunch of Girl Scouts). Everyone was given a ticket for a free BBQ lunch (very nice!). We went directly to the line for the bus tour of the facility - the main attraction. We only had about a 10 minute wait but later in the day the line was MUCH longer. So go early! The gentleman who was our tour guide was a manager at the facility and was very informative. We drove past the area where yard waste is composted. It was interesting to see the process from the raw materials to the final product. The bus took us to the top of one of the completed landfill mountains (a pretty high point for Orlando). We got a nice view of the Orlando skyline. Along the way we saw a little alligator, about a dozen eagles, wild turkeys, cranes, and a raccoon. (The kids liked the animals the best.) There was a small exhibit area. There were recycling bins to take home. Lots of good stuff. Overall, it was a fun time. So early November of next year look out for recycling day at the landfill. read more

To all you environmental Yelpers out there, if you want to dispose of your household hazardous wastes (paint, aerosol cans, etc.), this is a good place to drop these items off for FREE as long as you know how to get to the correct area once inside the landfill. The signage is awful. I incorrectly went into the landfill back area so I called the landfill number to ask for specific directions and the person who answered did not even know! He asked if I could find someone on the premises that might help. I drove around for another five minutes with the gentleman on the phone (he was attempting to be helpful as he was trying to get information to the location) when I found a worker who directed me to the specific area - Area 8! So to make it easier for anyone else to find this area while doing your environmental duty, here are some easy instructions: 1. When you come into the facility on Young Pine Road stay to the right and DO NOT get in the line with the other vehicles. That line is for dumping yard waste, etc. Stay to the right and you will see a sign for hazardous waste ahead (but not much direction after that). You will pass the weigh station and come to a stop sign. 2. Turn right at the stop sign and follow the few signs to Area 8. (No hazardous waste directional signs showing you its at Area 8.) If you continue going forward at the stop sign you will end up in all the other areas for yard waste, etc. and you definitely do not want that! At the Area 8 turn in, you will need to go down a little bit (the first two gate entrances will NOT get you to where you want to be). By the third gate entrance, you will see a sign to pull in and an employee will come out and provide you with a cart for unloading your paint and will even help you unload it. 3. As you leave the landfill, stay to the right again and drive out. You do not need to get in line at the weigh station with the outgoing vehicles waiting to pay as hazardous waste recycling is free. Finally, if you go to the L.B. McLeod landfill, please be advised they accept hazardous waste on Wednesday and Saturday ONLY! The Young Pine location accepts these wastes every day. Sadly had to place a pet here, since most of free land is getting eaten up by houses and apartments. Physically not my choice but no other options and not wanting to extend the day as I had just did the day before delivery. So arrive with trailer in tow and the Top of Mound traffic director informed us that there is no equipment handy to unload the body. And we are on our own. Really? So my friend tried, and injured his back. I not wanting to see my pet I've had for 17yrs got out and flagged down a guy in a little tractor, smashing away. And he got on his walkie talkie and called someone. Which Top of Mound traffic dude should have known this. If your directing traffic you should know and if not attempt to find out, and not laugh and smile it away saying you/customer, paying - are on your own. Needless to say, I didn't look as we drove away. My friend in pain kept telling me not to. I don't know what they did with my friend, stress relief partner and that animal I called on several occasions a natural a.. I didn't want to see. That morning had already been a mess and I felt like crap. But I did it, didn't want too but I did it. I know she wasn't your pet, just another whatever. But really?. Please inform your workers with information. I know knowledge is a powerful thing, but it'll fall by the way side faster then a heartbeat on a knucklehead. read more

They perform a needed service here by letting you drop off hazardous materials for free. I always take old oil, antifreeze and fluorescent lights here to drop them off so they can be safely recycled or disposed of. If you accumulate a big load of yard or construction debris, you can dump that stuff off also. read more

Called numerous times to drop off tires on a Saturday, was told numerous times the tires disposal site was open weekends. Came in on Saturday with two flatness full of tires only to have them turn us around after waiting in a ridiculous 40 minute line. Someone needs to get their shit together read more
