Hubby and I came here and officially got married last month! The people here are super nice and service was great. They have 3 rooms for weddings. A fairly small room for people who only have witnesses present. A slightly larger room if you have a few members from your family and friends. And even a larger room that can hold up to 200 people! It's so clean in the office and they even had a nice Instagram frame for the newlyweds to take photos in. The fact that I am sitting here writing a review of a registers office says something. I've been putting off picking up my daughters birth certificate (9 months late...oops) because the thought of dealing with a county office made me hyperventilate but the process was so easy, I walked out stunned. In fact it took me longer to parallel park in one of the many 90 minute parking spots on the side of the building than it did to get in and out of the building with two copies of said birth certificate. I was greeted by a nice young lady who checked me in and was told to sit and wait. My ass had just touched the chair when I was called to the window and had the smoothest nicest transaction ever. STUNNED. Mind blown. Stupefied. Ok you get the idea. Go get married here or something, just do it. read more

I am a licensed notary and had to register at the Orange County Clerk- Recorder. Parking is right next to their office in a parking garage. There is street parking but not much. Make sure you get your parking validated before you leave the county clerk's office. The employees were warm and friendly. It was not crowded. I was in and out within 10 minutes. Came to get my birth certificate and passport for an upcoming trip.It's easy to make an appointment online! The parking was easy enough on the street, and it's located right by Wells Fargo. Please note you need to fill our a request for a birth certificate prior to arriving, super easy. All in all getting my birth certificate took like 5 mins! It was $32 Next passport time. I filled out the application online, however, I don't remember the website saying to print before coming. I had to redo it.... Also the website mentioned accepting credit cards but ONLY for their processing fees. You must get a money order or use a check. Luckily Walmart was nearby and i was in and out for a money order. They take photos here too for $7 so that was convenient. The lady working the passport section was very rude. I tried to be friendly and she very clearly looked like I was an inconvenience to her.... That's why I gave 4 stars But this was a very quick and easy process!!! read more

Wowow. Such an amazing experience!! I was in and out within 5 mins. I was dreading this however Cesar was very fast and efficient. The whole process was fast and efficient!!! I walked in, sat at a desk to fill out my information on a computer then waited .025 seconds to be called. Quick and painless experience here at the Orange county recorders office to get a marriage certificate, baby's birth certificate and baby's passport. It was a breeze going through the process. There are multiple computer stations in order to help streamline. The place is super clean and organized. Workers are pleasant and efficient. Parking is on Broadway St behind the Wells Fargo bank and the recorders office shares the same building! Would definitely return for any other state and county needs. Made an appointment the day before to apply for a passport. I was inside the office ten minutes before my appointment but they were able to see me. The process is a lot quicker if you fill out the forms online and then print them before the appointment. Handed the forms over to the employee behind the plexiglass. Got my picture taken. Quickly paid my fees to the Dept. of State and to the Clerks office. No hand sanitizer inside but there is next to the elevators. I was in and out after 20 minutes. Getting our marriage license!! I'm writing this in February 2021 and the center is closed for in-person things. You have to fill out forms online for what you want (like marriage license, etc). Admittedly the forms are complex. We actually filled one out but only partially because some things were unclear. The system still said "appointment scheduled" and sent us an email confirmation. Lo and behold, we get there and there's no appointment for us on record. Still, we waited outside the door. TIP - there's no one there and just one sign telling you to wait in the car. There's a phone number but no one picks up. So it seems like it's closed, but just hang around, someone will come and get you. Anyways, the staff was very accommodating and actually took us in given we had the email confirmation. She explained to us all aspects of the form correctly. However, we weren't expecting this so if course we didn't bring all our documents. We'll be going back this Tuesday. Overall very friendly and (more importantly) competent staff who know what they are doing and how to help you read more

Might I be over dressed for the occasion? We went to get married at the county clerk recorder. I truly was not prepared for the location as it is currently. I had imagined there are offices where you go and get married when you arrive. But it is not so you get married in the lobby at the window of the clerk who is taking your application for the license. So I dressed for a wedding in a way and find myself surrounded by people in shorts, casual dress, Anaheim culture kind of dress code. First you arrive, get in line, approach the window, request the application, fill it out with a clerk, ask for a ceremony, There and then suddenly "they" put on a robe and there you go, your officiants. Your are now married. "Would you like to pick up the Certificate or should we mail it?" I'll clarify it my experience was wonderful very easy with an appointment very quick very to the point. And you're done I cannot take photos because it was so fast and unexpected the way it went through. When it comes to getting legal documents to make your big day official, you'll need to stop by the Orange County Clerk-Recorder. In general, people gravitate toward the larger office in Santa Ana. Given that the other place is more popular, things may a bit hectic over there. Thankfully, the Fullerton location was recommended to us by our pastor who will perform our ceremony. This would be our saving Grace because it helped us avoid a lot of hassles in the end. The Orange County Clerk's Office is located on the corner of Broadway and Civic Center Drive in the heart of downtown Fullerton. Parking is a available in the public lot behind the building and in various nearby lots. The office is small and easy to miss when passing by but just realize that it is on the corner, adjacent to the street light. One thing that makes this office more of a viable alternative to the Santa Ana location is convenience! Since the building is so small, they had to find a way to accommodate the public as they come inside. Most people made appointments online which made everything flow smoothly. Security will greet you at the door and you'll queue up and wait to be called. They are open Monday through Friday and on select Saturday's of the month. We made an appointment for 10:00 on Saturday morning to get our marriage license. We booked it online in advance and had to bring our drivers license for identification purposes. Once you verify that all of the information on your application is correct, you'll raise your hand. You'll have you swear that you have been truthful with what has been written on your application. I wasn't expecting to have to do this and it caught me off guard. After that, we paid our fee and were on our way! They were experiencing technical difficulties on Saturday morning as one of the computers was down. Somehow, they managed to move people through that office efficiently without allowing a buildup of people in line. People were there feeling emotional as they prepared for one of the most important days of their lives. I liked that everyone seemed happy in the office because this was something that people looked forward to doing. You have the option of dealing with long lines in Santa Ana or you can come to Fullerton and get it done at a much faster rate. The appointments go quickly so you shouldn't procrastinate when making this decision. Head over to the Fullerton location to handle getting your marriage license, passport documents, or to take part in a civil ceremony. They're well-organized to get you in and out as quickly as possible! read more

My husband and I got married here! We picked the first appointment at 9:30AM and there was no wait. We went straight to the super sweet girl sitting patiently behind the counter. And I say super sweet because we came in with 12 other people and she was patient enough to wait for us to be taking pictures, getting distracted, etc. She deserves a medal!! I had to get my birth certificate in a hurry, and this office was the closest to me. I was dreading it because I remembered how miserable the wait can be at the Santa Ana office, so I was pleasantly surprised to be in and out in 10 minutes! Walked in, filled out my application on the computer, waited in line only 2 minutes, showed my identification, and my certificate was printed immediately! Super friendly staff at this location. Cost was $28 for my BC. Park at the top level in the Wells Fargo parking structure off Broadway. The walkway leads to the back of the building where a lovely security guard is waiting to greet you at the entrance to the Clerk's suite. It only cost me $1 to park. Cash or card options. read more

This location is infinitely better than the Santa Ana location. Came here to file some paperwork, didn't have to wait too long since this is a much smaller office. The clerk at the counter was very nice and pleasant. He told me what the process was and immediately went to work. However due to the nature of my filing, he needed to send the documents to be reviewed by the clerks at the Santa Ana office, so there was a bunch of back and forth going on as we waited for the documents to be reviewed. It did take longer than expected but at the end my papers were filed. Alot of people does get married here and they do have a small room to conduct ceremonies. I saw several beautifully dressed brides coming in with their families to get married. It was very nice and happy. I was able to find street parking along the street, which was free. read more

We knew our ceremony would be fast but we didn't think 3 minutes fast.
