I was very skeptical regarding acupuncture. I was experiencing severe lower back pain. My regular Dr prescribed pain pills but I new this was not the route I wanted to take. I've been seeing Dr Lee off and on for 5 years and have always been impressed with his results. Unfortunately he has recently hired very unprofessional and incompetent office staff. The office manager mentioned my symptoms loudly in front of waiting patients as I was checking out. She then refused to check my insurance for coverage (I am covered for 60 visits per year). Upon my return visit, she charged and extra $5 for use of a debit card without informing me. I only discovered the charge upon signing. She then insisted I let her copy my insurance card (again, in front of waiting patients) after having vapidly ignored my request for her to do this the week before. Orange has many options for acupuncturists. It's a shame that that this ridiculous staff is losing patients for Dr Lee. read more

So here it is June 2013, almost 2 years since my initial Yelp review. My Ulcerative colitis is still in remission and I still haven't had to have fusion surgery on my spine. Dr. Lee continues to provide me with stellar care and has helped me with my allergies after "adopting" a stray cat that is now a family member since March 1st of this year. So I checked out yelp reviews and found Dr. Lee. I called to see if he took Kaiser insurance and he does!!! So I got a referral from my back specialist to get my acupuncture from him. This was my first time trying acupuncture, I will admit that I was a little iffy about it. However, I didn't have much to lose since my other two options for my severe pinched nerves was either taking steroid shots to my neck (weight gain? NO thanks!) or back surgery (even more scary!!) So I went in, I have had four sessions with Dr. Lee so far. First, I would like to comment on just how nice and inviting his office is and they always offer you hot tea!! Second, Dr. Lee is genuinely a really really nice person who immediately makes you feel at ease. Experience: so believe it or not people, having needles stuck in me doesn't hurt at all and to top it off.. I go into complete bliss mode, like I'm so relaxed after my acupuncture sessions. I'm usually dealing with constant pain which runs down my shoulder to my finger tips, after just my first session alone I was amazed at the reduction in pain, after my four sessions, this is the best I've felt in months! About a year ago, I woke up one morning with extreme back pain. In 2007, I had hurt my lower back and as they say, once you've hurt your back, it's never the same. I was in so much pain, I called in sick to work and tried taking heavy duty pain meds hoping that would help (which it didn't). By day two I was desperate and I remembered that Orange Acupuncture Center had just opened up at that time. I went down there and spoke to Dr. Lee who gave me a free consultation and started therapy that day. It took about 4 or 5 sessions but by the end I felt invincible (well, almost). When my back started to act up a few months down the line, I went back for another couple of sessions and was fixed. What's great is that he accepts insurance and although in the beginning it was a little confusing for both of us regarding the insurance set-up, we were able to work it out. Dr. Lee is a miracle worker! I have had what I thought to be a knot in my back right under my shoulder blade for a couple of years now. In the last 6 months the pain has been constant, and there were times the area would become numb/tingly. I've been having tension headaches for a few months now and do not want to take any medication. I found Dr. Lee on yelp and decided to give it a go. I went to Dr. Lee at Orange Acupuncture center because I had muscle pain from an OIRF surgery to repair a fractured upper arm bone. On the initial visit, Dr. Lee listened to where and how my pain felt. He then began my treatment, which consisted of 20 minutes with needles placed strategically. After the first session, I felt an immediate improvement. I felt like the majority of my pain had been alleviated in the first treatment. Over the next couple of weeks of treatment my muscle pain was completely gone. As background, my arm was repaired with a titanium plate and healed well, but I continued to have pain in the area of around the scar. It felt like my muscles were contracting and tightening all the time. I have been receiving acupuncture treatments from Dr. Lee for two years and I can honestly say that it has been life-changing. I have medical problems due to post-operative complications from abdomenal surgery. I had been going to the ER several times a year with the agonizing pain of obstructions. At other times I was able to remain at home but on heavy pain medication including morphine and norco, which made me pretty useless. I could not drive of course, and I could not even think clearly. Wasted days, several times a week. My sessions with Dr. Lee have changed everything. My obstruction episodes have become very much fewer and further between. And, if I have an episode during his office hours, he sees me right away and the minute he places the acupuncture needles, the obstruction resolves and the pain disappears! I have had really bad migraines for years, which mostly had no cure until Dr. Lee helped me. No pain medication is strong enough either, my only cure is to sleep it off. First let me say that Dr. Lee has been a life saver! I have been in constant pain for the last 2 years because of 2 slipped disks in my neck. My C5 to the left and C6 to the right, which is also pinching the nerve going all the way down my arm. At this point my doctor said my only options are surgery or a steroid shot in my neck, neither of which I want and there is no guarantee they will help at all.
