About a year ago, I began dealing with some pretty bad scar tissue in my upper trap/ shoulder area. The scar tissue there got so bad that it began pulling my neck and cranial muscles ontop of my head back. My neck and shoulders always felt so tight. I went to about 15 different massage therapists, maybe even more, spent at least $2500-$3000 on massages. Jaycee gave me the most relief out of all of them. It was relief that I felt immediately after they massage was over, I didn't feel the pulling as intensely as I used to. In my opinion, Jaycee really knows what he's talking about and doing. So before Jaycee, I had a lot of built up deep muscle knots and tension as a result of injuries that have been ignored. My scapular retraction was almost to none, and the tightness in my trap prevented me from really developing a mind to muscle connection. IN ADDITION to that, my QL was severely tight, and my glute and hamstring insertion area had/has a huge knot that's hindered my performance a lot more than it does now. Given all these problems, Jaycee has been able to help me a lot by releasing some of these problem areas, and I can finally feel better in my lifts again. I've been here consistently for almost 2-3 months every week now and I can definitely say that he has truly helped me! Before I started going to Jaycee I had so many aches and pains... knee, shin and feet. I'm a runner and thought that was just part of running. I decided to give Jaycee a try after I hurt my knee again during a half marathon. He fixed my knee and shin splints after one session! He uses Active Release Therapy and the Hypervolt percussion gun (hurts but effective) to relieve the tight muscles. My knee pain was coming from tight shins and tight IT band. He worked on those areas and my knee felt immediately better. I was training for the New York Marathon decided to keep seeing him for preventative maintenance. I also thought I had plantar fasciitis but after he worked on my shins and ankles, turned out the pain in my feet are just from tight Achilles from running all the miles. I saw Jaycee once a week leading up to NYC and for the first time in a long time, I ran the marathon without pain in my knee, feet or shins.
