Update! My filling broke within the month they were done as I was flossing. It HURT! Also, I called the office about my bite being messed up because of the filling and they said that's normal. And my night guard, that they pushed me to buy, hurts my teeth, I can't even wear it because they're all sensitive now!! I never returned to Dr. Salim to address my filling breaking because of her impatience with my husband. She was HITTING his tooth asking if it hurts because he couldn't get numb! Husband needed more dental work done but he said we are never returning. And we didn't. Fast forward to now: we are having to pay another dentist to redo the work Dr Salim performed. I had to wait a couple of years to be able to pay for it AGAIN. So that's why I've just now updated my review. I go in this week actually to have the dental work fixed by a different office. I cannot in good conscience leave my shining review, don't go to Ora. The staff are all nice enough but Dr Salim is pushy and impatient. I realize that now after having been to another dental office and received much better service. Don't even consider coming here, unfortunate to say. ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE, I took my daughter for a routine checkup, before I was even finished doing the paperwork they started polishing my daughters.They didn't even get consent nor did they care.They then told me my daughter would need a root canal and had several cavities. (She has 1) mind you she 13 and never once has complained of any pain. When I asked why would you do a procedure without consent she stated since she had insurance that all children under 18 get the polish an cleaning and thats why I need to have all this other work done since she has the insurance that would cover it.Yall these people care about you they only want your money. I told her I would take my daughter for second opinion, she then ask if she could take more pictures. Excuse me,for what to get more money. My daughter's gums are still sore just from the polishing. I had an appointment with Dr. Nasim Salim on Nov 4 for what I thought would be a routine checkup. I feel terrible posting this, but people need to know how manipulative and distressing this experience was. The doctor quickly claimed I needed two teeth pulled and a bridge because of a gum pocket. She told me the infection was so severe that I'd end up in the ER within two months, with bone loss already happening. Hearing this was horrifying--I left feeling anxious, scared, and questioning my dental health. But then I consulted my dentists in Ukraine, the UK, and France, all of whom have treated me over the years. They confirmed my teeth are perfectly fine. I've lived with this gum pocket for over five years without symptoms, but Dr. Salim made me feel like my mouth was a ticking time bomb. To make matters worse, she casually said she'd try to save my teeth "because I'm only 31." So, if I were 51, I'd just have to be okay with losing them? Really? Despite my doubts, I decided to make to a deep cleaning if I'm already visiting dentist, which turned out to be a nightmare. Even with anesthesia, I felt pain in other areas, and the doctor just kept going without concern. The red flag should have been when I first arrived and heard someone screaming in pain while the doctor chirped, "You're doing great!" What kind of reassurance is that? To add insult to injury, it took 11 days and three follow-ups texts to get my x-rays. They even said about trying to call and text me, which never happened. Hi my name is Crystal Jackson. I got two crowns on my two front teeth a year ago. Before I got the crowns Dr.B said that I needed to get a root canal on my right tooth but I signed a refusal. Got the crowns had them again for a year and I started having pain on the right crown unbearable pain. Went to the dentist Dr.B prescribed me antibiotics and Iam scheduled to get a root canal this Tuesday. Which is what Dr.B suggested in the first place over a year ago. My advice to anyone out there is. If your dentist says you need something done just do it. It may save you a lot of pain and money in the long run. Just moved to the Fort Worth area from Chicago and needed a new dentist. Mind you, I've been a licensed ortho assistant for 9 years so I know a lot about dentistry. The vibes didn't feel welcoming at all. Front desk staff was nice, but once you went into the clinic that all died. The whole appointment felt rushed. When the doctor came in she did my exam, I already knew what she would recommend because they're my teeth and I heard it all before. I said no, and shut down some of the things she recommended because what is working for me now I stand by. I also need a crown and she wanted me to do it right then and there but they don't do it in house so it was a absolute no. Also I grind, I've had ortho treatment so I like wearing my retainers, I don't like night-guards they're uncomfortable. Yet she still tried to push it after I said no. They young lady from upfront came in the opp and had a run down of all the charges. The crown and the night guard was on there even after I was firm and told her I didn't want it. So then then the prophy began. The hygienist flossed first then did the prophy, she was kind of heavy handed there's rubber on the end of tips so applied pressure you'll feel a little heat! She didn't do my scaling though the doctor did, and when she finally came in you could tell her demeanor changed. The scaling lasted all of 5 minutes tops. Exceptional practice! Highly HIGHLY knows their job really well. All staff, from the front desk all the way to the dentists are kind and caring, very professional, knowledgable, and explain everything very clearly. The whole process was super smooth, efficient, and pleasant, which is not something you typically expect from a dental office! I had multiple fills and a crown done here and I couldn't be more satisfied. The dentist worked so deftly and confidently. I experienced no pain or discomfort throughout the whole process. My aunt has stage 2 Alzheimer's disease and this month makes it 3 years since we moved her to live with us here in Texas. During the time she first got here we had here seeing another dentist, which we paid out of pocket for because we were having a difficult time finding an office that would take her insurance, ORA Dental went ahead and accepted that insurance. I took my aunt(81 years old) to this dentist on June 21st, we've been seeing her for about 2 years(roughly). My aunt has stage 2 Alzheimer's disease and this month makes it 3 years since we moved her to live with us here in Texas. During the time she first got here we had here seeing another dentist, which we paid out of pocket for because we were having a difficult time finding an office that would take her insurance, ORA Dental went ahead and accepted that insurance. We were 9 minutes late, but they checked her in and they were called back to be seen. They took some x-rays and then they went into room across from the x-ray area. The dental assistance started polishing her teeth and made a comment that she had a lot of build up and that we needed to make sure that we were keeping up with her regular cleaning visits. I corrected her, we came in March for a cleaning and the assistant later agreed after double checking. The dentist comes in, doesn't greet either of them, sits down, looks at her teeth, and immediately starts yelling at me "Every time you come in here she has build up on her teeth!!" Ididn't know how to respond to her. The dentist starts getting aggressive to my aunt why conducting the cleaning to the point she's in pain and at the same time giving dirty looks to my daughter. She angrily takes off her gloves and both her and the assistant leave for a long period of time, they come back to state that she needs a deep cleaning and they can only do the top. My daughter called, I agreed unbeknownst that the dentist was acting this way. She starts giving me dirty looks as she comes back in with 4 numbing viles. The dentist at this point was being spiteful, as she's injecting her my aunt is drawing up her legs and arms in pain at the same time she's doing this her eyes are staring down at me. They begin the deep clean, my aunt is pain, the dentist says, "you see she's uncomfortable" even after they gave her numbing solution for her. This has to against some kind of code of ethics!!! Her behavior was atrocious!!!! What kind of dentist behaves that way? My daughter felt very threatened by this lady." I've made sure to file a complaint against the board and BBB. I would not recommend families who have elderly loved ones that have an illness to see Dr. Salim. My aunt, the patient(Carrie H.) is her name just in case they respond saying we've never been to their clinic. Never have I felt so threatened, especially not at a dentist office. I believe she was behind, had a tight schedule, and was not anticipating on doing a deep cleaning. She's always doing back to back procedures. read more

The staff and Doctor are great, Im so glad she encouraged me to get my mouth guard to protect me from pain and teeth damage. Loved that they had a payment plan for it too. I never feel they are the type to be looking to get your money for unnecessary services. I recommend them. read more

I feel badly writing this review, as Dr. Salim and her staff are kind and professional, but I cannot in good conscience continue to stay silent about my experience. In January of 2021, I went to Ora Dental on recommendation for a friend. They said I had somewhere around 10 cavities, and needed a deep cleaning or my teeth would fall out. I was skeptical, but worried enough to where I got the work done immediately without a second opinion. I went back multiple times to the office, both because the intense amount of work to be done needed to be separated out, and also because after every filling I would experience even more pain to the point where I could not chew or eat properly. Dr. Salim assured me this was normal and that it may just need adjusting. This was incorrect according to multiple doctors visited thereafter. I finally went to another Dentistry, where they revealed my teeth were cut through the sidewall, which they said is unusual and not recommended. They also informed me that all my bonding was done improperly, which was a major cause of my pain. I needed to redo everything over again. With this new doctor, I didn't experience pain after my fillings, and he said that what I experienced was abnormal. I since went to even ANOTHER doctor who X-rayed me and commented on how strange the work done was. If you value your teeth, I advise you to stay away unless you are getting routine teeth cleanings. I am now in a lifetime of pain, complications, and costly corrections, and I cannot do anything legally as malpractice is only on the table with severe injury or death. I'm even fighting to get the original $2k I paid for the original work - even with other dentists sending in their comments to the insurer on how the work was done incorrectly. I'm incredibly sad, angry, and regretful that I didn't do my research to find others had this exact issue with Ora dental (check Yelp to find stories exactly like my own). I'm writing this review Sept of 2022. I am still feeling the effects of my trip, and I suspect it will be a lifelong issue. My teeth are misaligned, I have major jaw pain now, and my front teeth have formed a gap, which I suspect is due to the amount of material removed from my teeth with Ora. Do not make the same mistake I did. Please note, I am not a doctor nor lawyer, and my understanding is informed by my own experience as well as other doctors I have spoken with. While I previously expressed my intent to pursue legal action, please note that is NOT any indication that Ora dental has broken the law, has committed malpractice, or is responsible for any other wrongdoing. I am unhappy with services rendered, and I strongly believe the pain I experienced after my visit was due to my procedures - but take my claims with your own research and thought. Edit: i now need Invisalign because of how badly my teeth shifted, adding another $2,000 to my bills I think were caused by Dr. Salim's work. My front teeth gapped so badly I started to whistle. I never leave bad reviews because I hate being that person, however, this place has truly earned it. The only good thing about this dental office is the supporting staff. I am left with a crown on one of my front teeth that's about two shades darker than the rest of my teeth & Dr. Salim refuses to fix it without more money from me. I spent over $5,000 for dental work at this office. Just to be clear, I was never shown the different shades that I could choose from for my front crowns. The shade was picked for me by one of the dental assistants. As soon as I saw the crowns on my teeth, I immediately realized that one of the crowns was obviously a different color than the rest of my teeth. Even the assistant that was in the room agreed that the crown is not the right shade & I need to tell Dr. Salim as soon as she gets back into the room. When I tried to tell Dr. Salim that I was unhappy, she argued with me the entire time & I felt pressured to just keep the crown. Multiple different staff members could see that I was unhappy & some of them were even kind enough to follow-up with me. The other dentist that works there (Dr. B?) told me that the lab messed up the color of the crown. Dr. Salim said that she would fix the crown, however, I would have to pay $300. I am not sure why any decent dentist would ask their patient to pay for their lab's mistake. On top of all of this, the deep cleaning that I received from Dr. Salim lasted a good 15 minutes. She did all four quadrants of my mouth. Later, I found out that a deep cleaning of all four quadrants should last AT LEAST one hour. She also did fillings on my front teeth & she did not even try to make them look nice; just very quick & shoddy work on her part. I still have pain & and sensitivity on two crowns done by Dr. Salim's colleague over 6 months ago. I am now working with a new dentist to get all of these issues fixed. Do not go here if you need major dental work done. They will mess up your teeth. All dentists are NOT created equal. read more

I wouldn't recommend this office at all whatsoever... so unprofessional the doctor does treatments back to back so everything is in a hurry when she is doing your cleaning or other treatment. They want you to do same day treatment so bad to the point where they repeat several times to you, even though you say you can't... to me it just looks like they want money that's all they care about and not there patients. Dr. Salim was wonderful I am so happy to see she has brought her office to Fort Worth. She did a root canal for me a few years ago and she and her staff made me feel super comfortable and helped to alleviate my anxiety about the procedure. More importantly I travel and every other dentist I have seen has complimented her work on my root canal and crown. At the time I had recently switched insurance and they would not cover the procedure, I contacted Dr. Salim and explained the situation and they were able to work with me so that I could cover the costs by discounting and providing several payment options. Would not recommend. Dr. Salim is in the business to make a profit, not to help you. I should've known this when she kept trying to convince me to get back-to-back cleanings (3 weeks apart) since I had an "extra" cleaning left under my insurance. I've had several fillings from childhood/adolescence (unfortunately) and never once had any pain before or after the filling (or any tooth pain at all actually). Now after a filling done by this dentist, I can't even chew on one side without excruciating pain. After a month of pain, I went back to her for a resolution and she advised it was an issue with my bite, which she said is normal and caused by the placement of the new filling. So she tried and struggled to correct my bite by shaving off the composite to get my bite back to normal--but was obviously having trouble because the pain worsened at one point. So at that point she magically decided that I needed a $300 tooth guard to keep my teeth from grinding. That would stop my toothache. My tooth only hurts when I eat so I couldn't tell if her "bite correction" worked immediately. Still skeptical, at the end of my appointment, I asked what I should do if my tooth still hurts after I leave. Should I call for another bite adjustment? She said I need to get the $300 mouth guard. My next internal question was, okay what if that doesn't work? I'm pretty sure the answer is that I'll be out of $300 and still have a sore tooth. Grinding has never been a topic of conversation with any of my previous dentists. And if it is an issue, then I've probably been grinding my teeth for decades...but now a few weeks after Salim operated on my mouth, the same filling she put in is suddenly hurting because of unresolved grinding? Makes no sense. Find a better dentist. I know I will. So he/she can fix whatever Dr. Salim ruined in my mouth! Pray for me. read more

I was apprehensive about going back to a dentist after I had a not too pleasant experience with another dentist I had gone to. Dr. Salim and her staff put me at ease. My dental procedure went quite well. Ora Dental also was good about working with my budget. I was able to schedule my dental appointments over a period of time instead of getting all the work done at once, which I could not afford.
