Amazing and insanely addicting bread, perfectly thick and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I highly recommend the bread, it's bomb. Their garlic fries are also solid. Chicken liver, lamb and steak were all super juicy. The chicken was juicy but not quite as amazing as the other meats. My favorite was the lamb, then steak. But you can't go wrong with any of the cuts, I would recommend trying everything. Service is good as well.

I went from Brooklyn all the way to Queen for a delicious kebab and the food still taste good like before. Taste score: - hanger steak 9/10 - lamb ribs 9/10 - house salad 8/10 - garlic fries 5/10 too salty - baklava 9/10 - fruit jam 9/10

This place wasn't fabulous, but wasn't bad either. It was just in the middle for me. I got the beef noodle soup and I was very pleased with the flavor of the broth. However, it could have used some more veggies in it. The babaganoush didn't taste homemade in my opinion. It tasted just like the big tub I get from Costco, so that was a bit disappointing. The fries were a generous portion and nice and crunchy. I just wish the garlic was mixed throughout instead of a spoonful on the top. We also got hanger steak kebabs which were very small for the price. There were four pieces of meat on them and they were pretty small pieces. They were cooked to my liking though. The baklava was good. Nice and hot and honey-soaked.

Sweet bread, lamb and beef kabobs, $13, and no fixin's other than what you see

"We don't make only one, you have to order minimum of three." We were told this in a very matter-of- fact-ly, "why didn't you know this you baffoon," type of way. (In my mind: Ooooook, so we weren't only going to order one, but where was that disclaimer for patrons who wanted to only have ONE kabob?) My hubs and I ordered a sweet bread kabob, a lamb kabob and a beef kabob. We were excited since every time we went, they were closed... we finally caught them open on a random Tuesday afternoon. As we sat there, we saw another couple being served bread and tomato salad (complimentary if you ate there I guess) and after our $13 take-out order, we figured we get some fixins with our kabobs... I mean typically they do right? Onions... we got raw onions as our special little "extra." Ok... maybe they taste out of this world... No... you taste coal, meat and some salt... Granted, I understand kosher meat is expensive and I am happy to shell out the dinero for good kosher food... but really... REALLY?! Unfortunately, not a fan.

I went with the gyro platter with roasted veggies & lettuce. I was looking for shaved gyro pieces and that is really not what I was given. It was essentially ground beef. Flavor-wise, it was fine. Not a ton of beef or veggies, covered well in the lettuce. The white sauce was much thinner than I am used to so not super balanced. The pita slices were clearly a few days on the older side and a little hard. But the biggest issue I had was the level of oil, everything was really covered in it as evidenced by how soaking the box was when I got it. The service itself was nice, fairly quick. And the price is unbeatable. If you're really craving this genre of food in the area it isn't a bad option but I probably won't be venturing back specifically for this,

Chicken Chapli was great before but I wanted to try the jujeh kabob because it was pictured in the menu. I always assume if the restaurant chooses to feature a particular dish visually on the menu, there must be something to it. It's good. Similar to the chapli the jujeh kabob has that intimidating color and spicy aroma and you'd naturally feel timid about burning your esophagus. But it's not like that. The bone in chicken pieces are very tender and there's citrus notes there along with the char from the grill. Super tasty.

While perusing the menu trying to figure out what we were going to order I went back and forth between the combos. I looked at their combos to see if there was anything that could feed a family of two, but everything was geared towards a family of four and more. The combos are ridiculously priced. You'd think you were buying a few catering trays. We ultimately settled on two orders of the Two Chicken Tikka and the Chicken Samosas. I asked for extra white sauce and Pamir did not oblige. I didn't care for the samosas, nor the chicken tikka meal. My husband liked it. He also preferred the white sauce from here instead of Kabul's. While the food was decent it doesn't compare to Kabul. It was a solid 3.5. I was really taken aback by the size of the chicken kebabs and the portions we received. The kebabs were extremely small. There wasn't enough for any leftovers.

The manager (or owner, not sure) lady was super friendly and gave us some recommendations, some of which we followed. We ordered the rice pilaf, which was moist, soft but not overcooked, and amazingly seasoned. The roasted eggplant in tahini was terrific; it was roasted to perfection with no bitterness that sometimes eggplant could have if undercooked. The carrot salad was spicy yet refreshing. Lastly we had the beef luyla kabab (the ground beef kabab) and Pargit (young chicken) thighs kabab which both were melting in our mouths. You didn't need teeth for that. Again, its easy to overcook over the grill, but not when you know what you're doing. The offered their home compote for a refreshing beverage, which was indeed appropriate for this summer day and without the extra sweetness most compost have. Don't judge it for being Glatt Koaher. It will take any doubts, if you have any, with your first bite! In conclusion: come hungry, you'd want to eat everything on the menu. I took the takeout menu as I know I'll order some, given I live in the neighborhood. My apologies, we forgot to take a pic of the kababs!
