Excellent food! Tastes homemade!! Loved the falafel over rice with salad. Even the sauce and dressing was good! Highly recommend it!

We called the restaurant, the owner picked up saying it was never picked up. The driver never answered our texts or calls. We called Seamless and they acted promptly and refunded us the entire bill. That was a class act by Seamless. Bravo! The restaurant owner offered to bring the meal over, and he did within 7min. So that was a service excellence right there by the restaurant. Although the food got to us cold bc of all this, it was super delicious after a brief reheating in the microwave (we were starving at this point, no way we'd wait for the food to be heated in the oven) which really gives it an unplanned test. And man, did the food succeed at the "test". The kebab (lamb, calf liver and chicken hearts- and for those who are making a face for internal organs... you don't know what you're missing!) came out excellent, not chewy as microwave could do. Shows for the quality of the meats. Also the Kibbeh, which was slightly spicy (so be aware if you're sensitive) and super tasty. Everything was made to perfection, tender and perfectly seasoned. We order Falafel with hummus which came with tahini and was to-die-for! If you're not ordering the hummus you're missing out big time! All was accompanies with Uzbek bread. This was a pleasant surprise as we expected pita bread. It was crispy outside and perfectly fresh inside. We ordered a large garden salad. Again, fresh veggies, nicely cut and perfectly seasoned. Three hungry people, we couldn't finish it. Delicious! The falafel was perfectly crispy from the outside, green and soft inside, as it should be! We were so hungry I forgot to take pictures. Trust me, you will be happy ordering your food here and given the special service from the owner, I'm sure the service it great if you choose to dine-in, which is

We were on the prowl for some Afghan food and came across a Pamir which was relatively closer, and…read moreit seemed cheaper in comparison to our normal Afghan spot, Kabul. While perusing the menu trying to figure out what we were going to order I went back and forth between the combos. I looked at their combos to see if there was anything that could feed a family of two, but everything was geared towards a family of four and more. The combos are ridiculously priced. You'd think you were buying a few catering trays. We ultimately settled on two orders of the Two Chicken Tikka and the Chicken Samosas. I asked for extra white sauce and Pamir did not oblige. I didn't care for the samosas, nor the chicken tikka meal. My husband liked it. He also preferred the white sauce from here instead of Kabul's. While the food was decent it doesn't compare to Kabul. It was a solid 3.5. I was really taken aback by the size of the chicken kebabs and the portions we received. The kebabs were extremely small. There wasn't enough for any leftovers.

All the meat pieces were great and the rice was amazing. Next time I'm back in Queens and craving Afghan foods, I'll definitely hit this place up again.

To be completely honest, I thought it was even a little better than the Union Turnpike location. I ordered the chicken over rice with white sauce, and they gave a generous portion of white sauce (which Halal Munchies is known for). Everything was seasoned well, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. With past orders at different places, I've occasionally gotten a piece of chicken that wasn't as tasty, but this time every piece was excellent.

Upon entering you see the food/prep station which shows all the ingredients and them prepping the food. Then you reach the order station/cashier. They have a big TV screen above that displays all the items that are available. He decided that he wanted to go with the chicken wings AND the chicken over rice platter with fries. I guess he is a growing boy! I decided to order myself some seasoned fries. Can pay with either cash or card. Told that it would be a few minutes. We moved to the side. They have a few high tables and chairs if people would like to eat there. Fridge with juices or sodas & cakes. Also a freezer with ice cream. Service was fast and we able to head out. The portions are huge! Nephew stated that everything was good. Also received white sauce, hot sauce and green sauce on the side so he can adjust to how much he wanted. Fries were good as well.
