My hubby had a 2:40pm appointment yesterday. At 2:29pm we called office letting them know we are 5 to 10 min late due to construction. The answering service put us on hold to ask the office if it was ok for us to still come in? We were told yes! When we get there we're refused service because we were 15min late and had to reschedule. HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU GONE TO YOUR DOCTORS OFFICE AND SAT PAST YOUR APPOINTMENT TIME WAITING FOR THE DOCTORS?? These doctors are over booking patients and probably billing higher units (CPT). The office blames the answering service and the answering service blames the doctors office. The bottom line is, our time is just a important as the doctors and we should be treated with respect !! read more

Ok so time for an update. I'm totally fed up with this place. I had to cancel my appointment as I suspected I had covid - had to wait THREE MONTHS for another one. Instructed to arrive 15 minutes early, arrive 20 minutes early, fasting for bloodwork... wait until almost an HOUR after my appointment time before being taken back.. Over an hour before I see doctor.. who isn't really interested in what I have to say or want to talk about.. By the time that gets done, there is now nobody available to take my blood, so now I have to fast again and drive all the way over there AGAIN for the bloodwork. ZERO customer service skills. Ever since Dr. McDonald stopped seeing patients I've been bounced around and treated like less than. If I could find another Doctor in N. Phoenix that was accepting patients, I'd be gone. read more

This place has really gotten bad the last year. Ever since they switched to Ottum and a new system it's been impossible to get meds filled or a prior off sent to my pharmacy. I'm not happy with this office . I was having pain in my leg 2 weeks ago. I went in to see them, they took blood for testing and issued an ultrasound. They found blood clots in my leg, did not put a rush on blood tests. It's been 2 weeks and still no results from test. They told me to take aspirin and wait for their call. I have been looking for a new physician and practice that you could actually talk to a live person and get in, when you have something come up all of a sudden. This group is amazing, responsive, you can get in rather quickly, the front office staff makes you feel like someone important no matter your age, medical challenges etc. Dr. Kupar is a great communicator and personally calls with tests results. I would highly recommend this group if you're looking for a practice that puts customer service first! When a docs office says they'd rather you call them about refills instead of using the portal -- it's like your starbucks order being paid for by the car in front of you! Such a nice surprise when it's not expected! Believe me -- call this group. You won't be sorry! read more

iHello, I had an appointment. My NP Stephanie Van Ham had left the practice among several others. The Dr. I was told I had seen before was not him. He was pleasant enough . He never examined my leg which I had felt no movement in. He said I did not need imaging without any exam of any kind. I am sad to see all the Drs of the old West Valley urgent Care gone. This Dr. was just happy to get the insurance money. Now I have to get another Dr. as i have other problems he did not address. I feel he should have examined the leg. I went while on vacation, I had gotten really sick. I had to wait an hour in the waiting room, although only 1 other person was in there with me, because the receptionist could not figure out my insurance. From the waiting room, I called my insurance twice, who verified there wasn't an issue, and ended up calling my employer also, who said everything was clear on their end for medical. No one could tell why the receptionist was unable to run my insurance. I was really sick and couldn't wait any longer so I offered to pay the cash price. Now, I have received an EOB from Blue Cross Blue Shield that West Valley did in fact charge my insurance. So I have paid the cash price and my insurance has paid as well. My insurance says that only West Valley can correct it / refund me. I have called and left 4 voicemails since receiving the EOB almost a month ago and emailed twice using the contact us box on their website. I haven't gotten a single response. Once I saw the NP, it was fine. He was quick, got me antibiotics, and I was on my way. read more

Adding yet another review to my earlier one... wish I could give zero stars. I went to this office in person to request my medical records on 9/12/22 - because they refused to fax or email the form to me. I stood in front of the reception staff and filled out the form. Color me surprised when today (10/14/22) I called back to ask just when would I be receiving said records when (imagine my surprise) they told me they didn't have a signed copy of my request. And to the "business owner" that responds to these, please don't bother asking me to email you with more details. It's not up to me to fix your management details, or the lack of them. read more

Don't fill out the online appointment form on their website. You will end up getting a ton of spam mail. I can't get it to stop. I was in and out, they didn't do what I wanted. Prescribed me some antibiotics and told me if that doesn't work come back in 3 days (so another $100). We will see if the antibiotics take care of it. read more

I went in b/c I didn't feel well, like all people do. The service from the staff was really great. The front staff were so kind to my husband and I. The back office staff were kind as well. The only reason Im not giving WVUC 5 stars, is because of the physician I was seen by. She was extremely nice, but she seemed un-knowlegable. I left more confused then I was when I walked in and I was still sick. I ended up going to a different Urgent Care and got better. read more

I'm here currently. Marquita is so ghetto and rude, the old Doctor lady is so unprofessional. I came here to get a physical for my little brother and he couldn't read the last letters for the eye exam & the much older doctor was behind him with her hands over her eyes making fun of him because he was struggling. I don't find this cute or funny it's rude & completely unprofessional. Marquita, however acts like she hates her job and life. She has such a bad attitude. Our visit was unremarkable for my son's stitches. 6 days later, after making an appt with our PCP to have the stitches removed, it occurred to me that WVUC may remove them for free (I work in an ER and some of the Dr's will do this). I called and they said yes, of COURSE they would remove them free of cost. Sweet! I cancelled the appt with his pediatrician and had them removed at WVUC. We then later received a bill for $75 for the visit. They of course deny that ANY of their staff would ever say the suture removal would be free of charge. The office manager was very unhelpful. I get so sick of this dishonesty in business; stick to what you say. Simple. And it sounds like I'm not the only one. There is an urgent care on every corner in Surprise - use your money elsewhere. read more

"Ms" Negome is young, inexperienced and inappropriate .She comes with a lot of window dressing and book smarts but fails to translate that into her office. This was first time seeing psych in a few years . I did need help but she is not capable . Take your time and find someone that has broad experience and years of experience. Experience matters, the ebbs and flow of life are not in a text book and they must be lived through in order to have compassion . She lacks this simple experience and demonstrates by : not looking at you , interrupting thoughts, and is a poor note taker , as I had to tell her twice a too many occasions.Also, one can't help but consider the nepotism in the office read more

Wanted to schedule a follow up appointment for my daugther and was told she can't be seen for almost 2 months. When someone is sick, waiting 2 months to see a doctor is unacceptable. Ever since Arizona Family Care joined with 4C Medical, the service and care have gone downhill. I suspect that Dr. McDonald and Dr. Banister are going to lose quite a few patients due to this merger. Person who handles referrals is highly incompetent. It's been a month since doctor wrote referral for me to see a specialist. I've called twice but still no referral. This has happened in the past and is not a one time thing. It's like pulling teeth to get this person to do her job. I have been happily visiting the doctors at this urgent care for many years now and have left each time feeling very satisfied with the medical attention I have received and friendliness of their staff. The wait time is never more than 15-20 minutes and the doctors at this location always make me feel comfortable and welcomed. Awful. Gave labs did not write the required information for Sonora. Sonora stated that it was the third one that day lacking required info. 2 referrals never heard another thing. Retaining water they could not fit me in. Possibly a blood clot had to go to e.r. Referred to oncologist. The number just rang and rang. In the meantime I get a huge hematoma my whole arm is black still no appointment with the oncologist. A month later the doctor finally calls to set up appointment. I'm need a refill for lasix. 2 weeks still waiting. Leave messages, call the manager ignored. People need meds to avoid e.r. they would not see me after car accident unless I paid cash. Told me after waiting I had to pay for a flu shot I could have got for free at the pharmacy. Bad patient care. Switching primary care but, need my meds. read more

Took my husband in as he injured his back, they gave him pain medicine, I asked the the doctor if he can order an X-ray and he said "for what" and I said he works at UPS and is a package handler and he said "no I'm not ordering that" he continued talking and discharged him, told him to follow up w/ his PCP and if symptoms worsen to return, I would NOT recommend this urgent care he Dr.Rene Anikwue did NOTHING!!!maybe it was because we got there 20min before they close and he wanted to leave. I came because i havnt voided in 1.5 wks. I woke up with a lot of discomfort and and hard bloated abdomen. The staff was nice doctor was nice. The whole process... Well i wished i would have just went to the ER. I was the only patient there and it took them literally an hour for me to see the doc. Then they sent me out to another facility (Sun Radiology) to get a US abdomen done. The doc did put it as STAT and his assistant even called and asked if they could fit me in. After hours later i came back to the UC only for the doctor to write on blank piece of paper OTC medication i was already taking which obviously wasn't working. So I still haven't voided, I'm still very uncomfortable. My whole Saturday was a waste. 0900-1500. Next time ill just go to the ER. read more

I knew what I had wasn't an emergency, but urgent enough to not sit on it until I could get in with my PCP. We received terrible care from Dr. Punis and his staff. My husband was feeling lethargic and so we went in for an appointment with Dr. Punia to request his Iron level be tested. Dr. Punia barely spoke to us, which at the time, we didn't mind because our main concern was the Iron test. When the results were in, the office told us we could not receive the results over the phone, that instead we would have to make a follow-up appointment. We figured something was wrong so we did. When my husband first tried to pay his $25 co-pay, the front desk told him it would be a $115 copay. He said "Are you sure? It's usually $25". She said "I'll check your insurance. Oh yes, $25." We were kind of put off at that point, that she would just make a charge without checking. But we let it go. When we saw Dr. Punia, he said everything was normal and started naming a dozen different lab values. We questioned him because he did not mention iron and we make it very clear that we did not approve all those other tests. He said "The office must have made a mistake. We'll redraw. It is a two-part test but she can take your blood now." My husband offered to come back because the phlebotomist was eating her lunch but she said she would take a break to make the draw. Once again, they drew several tests, without our permission. And are now trying to charge us $600 for test fees! read more

I was seen in West Valley Urgent Care in fall, 2015 for a sudden pain in my right foot. Six months later, I've received numerous texts and phone calls from West Valley Internal Medicine reminding me that I'm overdue for an appointment. Today, I received another phone call. After being put on hold for five minutes, I asked to speak to the manager. I was told that she (Shannon M) was out and no one knew when she would be returning. On the website there is no contact information, just the phone number. Just because one has used a particular urgent care for an "urgent" problem, doesn't mean that the facility has the right to harass me by calling on a regular basis trying to encourage me to use their "Internal Medicine" care. If I receive another call or message from this group, I will be calling the Arizona State Medical Board about their unethical behavior. read more

Always punctual and courteous. I've never waited more than 15min past my appointment time, and they do my bloodwork on the spot. Nice seating area with TV, WiFi and magazines. Dr. Zoeteman is really nice, and listens to me. He does his best to make sure I stay well AMD on the right track. read more

I have been a patient at 4C Medical Group F.K.A. West Valley Internal Medicine for over 5 years and haven't experienced ONE negative thing in my entire time as a patient. I personally know their Dr's are amazing people first hand, especially Dr Stephanie Van Ham. She's comes in with such a positive attitude it's hard to not catch and find yourself in a good mood simply for being in her presence. Being great at communication and very caring makes Dr. Van Ham one of the best Dr's in the state. Also have hands down one of best nursing staffs with Rebecca who's such an amazing, caring and, kind person.
