The worst of the worst. They have the worst front desk that literally never answers the phone. When I was there, the two ladies behind the front desk were socializing and on instagram. Explains a lot! I just wasted two hours at quest diagnostics because the office never answered and never sent quest my order, so I fasted and waited all for nothing. Optum sucks and I will never go there again! Thanks for wasting my time. read more

Good luck ever getting anyone on the phone. Was stuck on hold for 20 minutes multiple times without ever getting to a human. Their automated voice claims there is a chat function on the site (spoiler alert: there is not) and when I called the Optum corporate patient help number and explained my desire to simply book an appointment they then - for reasons I don't understand - transferred me to my primary care doctor's office. Who is NOT Optum. Simply maddening and so unnecessary. read more

First time coming to see my new personal care physician. Just needed to get a few referrals and give him some history and it was very seamless. Dr Samuel Almasi has a nice demeanor. The office was tidy and clean and the personnel upfront were very welcoming. Really hope I get the care I need here at this facility with my new doctor. I had switched my insurance company because I wasn't getting the care that I needed after two years of being undiagnosed. Time will tell and I will update my review after I've had a few more visits. read more

Optum is just awful. I called the office to make a returning appointment with Dr. Stotland. No one answers the phone. I waited a very long time. I also called the Patient Experience line (800) 403-4160 and no one answers there either. I also tried the Optum portal, and it will not allow me to make any appointments, and says I must call the office. I cannot get through to anyone to simply make an appointment. What an awful experience. read more

By the way, they're soooo full of it. After they left their usual "so saddened by your experience" nonsense I decided to call them back, as they requested. WASTE OF TIME! Left me on hold for 20 minutes. I had time to kill so I played along. Dr Hernandez and her team of morons at the front desk are goons. read more

If you are thinking about using Optum, run away as fast as you can to another office. Any office will be better than this one. I have endured frustration after frustration from messages not being transmitted, to them not having record of requests, to appointments being cancelled without notification, to referrals not being sent. I spend hours on the phone (over an hour on hold yesterday, after which I just gave up). All the while, my health is not being monitored at a time when I most need it. If you bring up valid concerns, it is met with defensiveness and outright rudeness. Trying to contact the actual office is nearly impossible- you will be shuffled around in a call center with people who could not care less about you and your health. Several years ago, I made the choice to switch back into Optum because my experience with them previously was so good. Something has happened in the last year or so that has dramatically changed the level of care patients receive. It has gone from a caring office to a negligent one. Evelyn Hernandez is a competent doctor and seems to care about her patients, but what you will have to go through in order to see a doctor or have your medical needs met, will take days off your life. Find another provider... I certainly am. read more

Couldn't even make an appointment with Dr. Stotland. I told the receptionist I had a possible cherry angioma I needed looked at and possibly removed and she hadn't heard of that and said it sounded cosmetic and they don't do that there. It could also be cancer. That's why you have a dermatologist take a look. It's hard enough to get men to go to the doctor and this receptionist is exactly the reason why. To her credit after refusing an appointment, she did ask if there was anything else she could help me with. read more

Dr Mira Strotland was on my referral for a full body skin exam. I didn't even get a chance to see the Dr and I was declined service. I have been going to the DO every six months for the last 12 years. Three doctors at my prior office left and I was forced to get another referral. I wound up with this Strotland character and she cancels my very first appointment. With only reviewing the chart, and not making any phone calls to my prior doctor. Which they all know each other. I found his new number and left a message on how jacked up Optum is and he's lucky he left to a better place. Back on point, so she calls me day of the appointment and tells me I can only have one skin exam a year. Again. She doesn't make a phone call to the prior doctor. So even though I've been going to the DO every 6 months, she decides, without even seeing me, that I only need an annual exam. I'm so glad she canceled. I don't want this incompetent Dr touching me. I've already complained to Optum and asked for another referral. What a joke!! Look at the other reviews of this place. What a cluster fuck! read more

If you cant predict LA traffic to the minute, then I dont recommed going to Optum and Dr Hernandez Del Cid. I was 7 minutes late for my annual physical, and they told me they had to "check with the doctor". Surprise they CALLED the receptionist to say I would have to reschedule. As this was a preventitive care visit, the next available appt with Dr Del Cid is in --- late January. Over 3 months away. So if you have so much time on your hands that you can afford to be early enought to beat even the unknowns of LA traffic, stick with this office. However, if you are actually trying to do the right thing and get preventitive care, good luck because if you are not on time to the minute, it's tough luck and good luck if you get sick. I have had good experiences with both Dr. Stotland (dermatology) and Dr. Hernandez (primary care). This review is for the PAIN MANAGEMENT DOCTOR, Dr. Niamehr. I made an appointment months in advance for this afternoon and waited for ONE HOUR outside and I was still told they "didn't know" when the doctor would be ready for me. Are you freaking serious? So unprofessional, they were so unapologetic, and I am absolutely furious. I needed to see this specialist, but I had to go back to work thanks for wasting my time. I won't be coming back. Sad that you don't value your patients' time. Now on the patient portal they are saying I was a NO SHOW. What a JOKE! read more

Came here for my physical appointment Doctor Hernandez hardly game any time to share my medical issues. Is really hard to get an in person appointment and when u finally get it the doctor doesn't even show any interest. I had not seen a doctor since the pandemic started and now it seems like medical care has completely change. This office really Made me feel like I am just a number to them. the way they bill is very scammy. their preferred method of billing is that they wave you through the office, telling you that your insurance will cover everything, then they send you bill after bill for stuff that you wouldn't have done if you knew there was a charge. scammers, shell game, they refuse to give you prices up front. and for the capers writing the fake reviews, you can rot in ... read more

If you need to see or talk to your doctor with any possible emergency, forget about. If you have any health situation pop up, they tell you to make an appointment for 2 or 3 months later. This company is just sucking your HMO money, and maybe giving you an appointment once or twice a year to go over your blood work results. read more

Dr. Hernandez Del Cid is great- she is quick without rushing you, she listens to what you have to say. I do recommend her. HOWEVER, their billing department is an absolute nightmare. I have been battling with them for six months over a Bill that I have been told repeatedly by members of their staff that I do not owe, and that they would sort it out... and yet, I keep getting the same bill in the mail. Since calling them multiple times didn't seem to do any good, I wrote them a letter explaining how many times I have spoken to representatives that told me I didn't owe any money, and explaining when and how I paid originally. Guess what just showed up in the mail today? You'd think the same bill we've been struggling with, but no. Now I get a bill for double the amount with two different dates on it. I have proof I paid you, your own billing phone representatives assured me I don't owe you, I DON'T OWE YOU MONEY. After being assigned Optum through my HMO insurance plan, my hopes were not high. I have been very lucky to have had a PPO for many years and a fabulous doctor, so I was expecting the worst. I was wrong. I had a great appointment with Dr.Hernandez! She was patient and understanding and helped me get the referrals I needed. The rest of the office staff was also fine and helpful. The only thing that is frustrating is that it can be difficult to reach the office via phone as there are always long hold times but I would absolutely go back and plan to. read more

I think the pandemic fried the brain of my prior primary physician or he was just pissed at me for calling him out and threatening with my quality of life. All without options. The clinical staff all changed over during the pandemic try and get a prescription to the right pharmacy I don't know how many phone calls it took to the helpline before I just put a little request in for a prescription and the very nice drug people and wherever they were at saw that my prescriptions were filled promptly and sent to the correct pharmacy. I guess the pandemic just did that office in because beforehand the quality of care was much better from everyone. But in talking to several other patients who had the same primary if you had a PPO you didn't have any issues but if you had an HMO that was a different story said medical care has sunk that low maybe some people it's time to retire or maybe listen to your patients and offer alternatives if there are one and bottom line I asked for an orthopedic referral for a knee Andrea I was told I'll go Revol tear in on it and ride your exercise bike was they offered an orthopedic referral when I asked for one know where I got a doctor as soon as I got insurance and got here at home ha ha Lil med Mal if I wanted to pursue it but do you know karma is a bitch read more

This review goes hand in hand with my review for Dr Gitte Bloom from the same medical group. http://www.yelp.com/review_share/ma_4flOZyOdUN7mUcq4JTA/review/scpZFYx3XsXSVEOoJnEZKA?fsid=kGSgbImMlFHjMssc-w06CA I decided to switch to HealthCare Partners based on the service we receive when I bring my son to his pediatrician and the simple fact I like the idea of the two of us being with the same group and our appointments being at the same office. I scheduled my annual physical with Dr. Ther Hacopian and could not have been more pleased. When switching to a new medical group and a new doctor, things can be a bit nerve wrecking - not here, not at all! I arrived a few minutes late because it's been the first time I didn't find parking under the building, so I parked in the normal patient lot located directly across the street. I had my new patient forms mailed to me so I wouldn't have to deal with filling them out before my appointment. Service is great all around with each and every associate you encounter. Everyone is nice, friendly and welcoming which really ensures a comfortable visit. Dr. Ther Hacopian is a delight and very thorough. She proactively addressed and answered all of my questions. They also do blood work on site, although I had an afternoon appointment and hadn't fasted I will return to do this here. I highly recommend this office and have since passed on Dr Ther Hacopian's business card to one of my girlfriends. read more

This review is for Dr. Mira Stotland: Dr. Stotland is exactly the kind of medical professional I hope to see every time I start visiting a new doctor. She is knowledgeable, personable, and inspires confidence in her judgement and capabilities. Scheduling and logistics can occasionally be a little cumbersome with the office she works in, but Dr. Stotland's competence and demeanor more than outweigh any minor issues I might have with the logistical end of my appointments with her. Dr. Stotland answers my questions candidly, works with me to explore treatment options, and always treats me with respect. If you're looking for a dermatologist, go ahead and stop your search here. read more

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. My whole family is signed here, but I'm thinking I may be switching pretty soon. What is the point of having a primary doctor if you can't see them, or any of their colleagues when you're actually sick? I called on a Thursday, explained to the nurse on the phone that I have a persistent cough (over a month) and doubts I may have pneumonia and she told me the first available slot was on Monday, and the first slot with my primary doctor was in -- January!!! Thanks a lot, if I'm actually sick, I may not be alive by then to see your doctors! Going to Urgent Care. Don't even bother with Health Care Partners Burbank - first it takes forever to get through to them on the phone, and then they have the least helpful scheduling nurses. At least their pediatrics deptartment has been really nice so far, but if you're trying to get through to the primary care physicians - forget it! read more

This review is for Dr. Evelyn Hernandez Del Cid and the staff. I just had my first visit to see Dr. Hernandez yesterday. It was such a wonderful experience for me - she took the time in listening to my needs and answering the questions. Dr. Evelyn was very professional, caring and sincere with her own witty personality. Her entire staff was very friendly - the front desk team and the assistant Cynthia were very supportive! I highly recommend Dr. Evelyn Hernandez. She's our primary care physician. She's very knowledgeable and attentive of our medical needs. Very cordial and very approachable. This review is for Mira Stotland aka the world's best dermatologist. I'll follow her anywhere! If you have any skin concerns at all she's an amazing doctor that truly cares who sets clear and realistic expectations. I tried to call a few different locations and their receptionists where not the easiest to talk to, and honestly if I didn't have a history with the Dr. I would not have made an appointment. The one in Van Nuys made it impossible to make an appt (I even said if insurance didn't cover I would pay out of pocket) and they did not allow it. Burbank was better which is why I am writing this review. So looked passed that because she is incredible. read more

My issue was when i went in for a physical, the office ordered blood work related to the physical but input the incorrect codes. The result is that i received a bill for services that should have been covered by my health insurance if the office had input the correct codes. Instead, based on what was requested, it was blood work not related to the physical. This meant that the doctor didnt request the blood work but instead i just went in and requested random blood work. When reaching out to the lab company and my health insurance they both said that it was an error at the billing office at the doctors office. I called the medical group and just kept getting the run around. i called 3 times to the medical group until i asked for the supervisor at the office, Rene. This is perhaps where i failed since i trusted someone to do their job. i had to call the office supervisor a total of 3-4 seperate times only to be told everytime that he wasnt available or couldnt come to the phone. The bill ended up going to collections and i just paid it instead of dealing with this terrible office. Overrall, its a shame the doctors office is so bad since this pcp is so great. Truly, this doctor is one of a kind and i hope that you never have to deal with his office. read more

Drs. Hernandez del Cid and Stotland are great. However, since they changed to optum, they now rarely answer the phone. As I write this, I'm in the office of a specialist. Dr. Stotland and her staff are amazing!!! From the minute we walked in the door we were greeted with friendly smiles and great service. Her reception desk and nurse were very sweet and made me feel welcome. When I am in the room with Dr. Stotland, I am always amazed with her bedside manners. She remembers you, listens to all of your questions, explains everything in detail, and spends lots of time with you in the room. My skin has improved tremendously since the first time I visited Dr. Stotland. She walked me through the journey step by step and told me to call if I had any questions or concerns. She is honestly my favorite doctor to visit! I know I will always leave her office feeling confident about my skin and happier than I was when I walked in the door. read more

This is directed at the Northridge facility. I'm at the front desk and a patient comes out and asks if they validate parking. The receptionist says "yes!" and points to the stamp for your ticket. I'm like, "They validate for parking in NORTHRIDGE. SWEET! Nobody validates anymore!" Then I go to pay after a 25 minute visit. It's $4! I ask the attendant "what is it without validation?" IT'S $4! The validation doesn't do anything she says. Nice customer service! Way to appear to care for your patients while you are actually ripping more money out of their pockets! One Word: EMBARRASSING! Two Final Words: NEVER AGAIN! read more

Never in my life have I received such consistently poor service than I have the last several years from Optum. I have been a patient there since I was a child, with Dr. Bloom as my pediatrician and Dr. Ther Hacopian as my primary care doctor. Every single time I have visited, there has been a different issue: The staff not allowing me to enter because I am sick, the nurses treating me rudely at the front desk, etc. Today, however, was the last straw. I had made an appointment to see Dr. Ther Hacopian in early September in order to get my medication refilled, which the staff refused to do over the phone. Before I made my appointment, I was told I must visit the doctor in person because I needed a physical for my medication. The nurse I spoke to was incredibly rude to both me and my pharmacist, but finally helped me make an appointment for today, October 24. Approximately a week later, I called the office to ask if I would need bloodwork for my appointment so I could make the proper arrangements with my driver. Prior to my appointment, I received 3 confirmation texts asking if I would attend and reminding me that I have an appointment. I responded that I would be able to make it to my appointment and waited for the day of it. I fasted the entire day - I had no coffee or food until my appointment at 3PM and I even arrived early because I needed to update my insurance information. Upon my arrival, I was told that my appointment was cancelled because the doctor was not there. I explained that I had made this appointment over a month ago, I needed my medication refilled, and I had fasted the entire day. The two front desk nurses were incredibly rude and told me they had called me twice and I had not answered; they also said I do not have a voicemail box set up. I showed them my recent calls, proving they had never called me. I also had them call my phone in front of me for them to see I have a voicemail box set up. Eventually, I asked if I could at least get my blood drawn since I hadn't eaten all day and I didn't want that to go to waste. The head nurse came out from the back and basically called me a liar, saying they had "proof" that they had called me. He also told me I could reschedule my appointment at the front desk. I thanked him and walked out immediately. This office wasted my time and I will never be going back there again. read more

Absolutely worthless. Have been leaving messages with call center which magically disappear and never get to my doctor, trying the patient portal now, It's just as useless. All I need is a prescription. why is it so difficult to get help at Optum. I have been suffering for days now and they don't seem to care. I like my primary physician, but what's the point if she never calls me back. This is negligent and unacceptable. The worst thing besides the fact that my calls for help go totally ignored is that now I have to find a primary physician that I can rely on and trust because the trust I used have here is lost due to the lack of caring and incompetent people who work for the Optum heath system. I deserve better, we all deserve better. How do they sleep at night knowing that their patients are being ignored and suffering. Tried calling their grievance dept, but guess what no one answers, no one cares. read more

Optum Medical Group is a joke. They should not be representing themselves as a medical group. I have had so many instances that were frustrating, detrimental to my health. Some are as follows: I had an appointment with a doctor. Went to that appointment. Was told to wait in the parking lot because of the pandemic. When I was finally allowed up to the office, I was told the doctor wasn't in. Another joke: I called a doctor's office and was told they weren't' taking calls. After recuperating from that I called a doctor's office for an appointment because I needed refill for pain medicine and I was told doctor's nurse would call me to give me appointment. She never called. When you try to reach the doctor you get the Optum office and you wait on the line forever and then when you finally get someone and you ask for the doctor's office they say hold on, they will connect you, but they put you back on the original call to them and you hold on until you can't anymore and I could go on and on but there is no room. read more

I give this place a 2 star rating because at least the offices are clean - but not always air conditioned. The other 3 missing stars vanished because of these issues: 1. Doctors quit the company, sometimes with zero notice, which forces you to make appointments with replacement physicians to continue ongoing treatment. Often times this rebooting forces you to start from scratch with a brand new doctor with a very different opinion in the middle of your treatment plan. 2. Doctor to patient ratio is garbage. If you need to make an appointment you're facing at least a month wait and the specialists are in offices spread wide across the San Fernando valley making it a pain if you're trying to use a lunch break to visit your internist. 3. Today is a few days before NYE and I need a refill of a medication my previous doctor (point 1) prescribed me but the replacement doctor refuses through a voicemail without a call back number. Instead of refilling a maintenance medication the new doctor gives me the number to the appointment center to make an appointment with another specialist (point 2). See ya! Thankfully I am leaving this health network for brighter pastures. If you don't actually visit your doctor that often then maybe this place would be a decent choice but for those of us who actually seek help - find another option. read more

Starting seeing Dr Wing in August 2012 and was very pleased with him and his nurse, Sylvia, as she was probably the most competent nurse I have ever dealt with. In February 2013 Sylvia was FORCED to leave by the office manager Haik as she was taking classes to become a full RN. I saw her weekly to get my series of injections and it was always a pleasure to be treated by her. The Nursing Supervisor, Rene, took over and was going to give my injections. His incompetent level was so high he didn't bother checking my chart to see how much of each medication I was to get and came in with DOUBLE the amount in the needle. I called him on it and he actually injected half back into the sterile vial, contaminating both the injection and the remaining medication in the vial. Haik convinced me to have a second try with Jeana and they would use new medication from their own stock. When I saw the injections and vials she had when she was ready to give me an injection I asked her where she had got it and she told me it was the same medication that Rene had drawn because there was still some left in the original vial. I walked out of the exam room, confronted Haik, and was told by him "he would fix this." It's been several weeks and he has yet to contact me. I filed a complaint with their corporate office and have yet to have a follow-up. The staff in the front reception is gold. Sharon loves her job. The back nursing staff is made up of young 20 somethings that are in a click. Monica clearly hates her job. The girl answering the phone does personal texting while talking to patients calling. And they all gossip incessantly about anything and everything. Haik is the office manager and clearly has either no control over any of them or is too friendly with EMPLOYEES under him and wants to be liked too much. This staff is dangerous to ones health. read more

Dr Hernandez Del Cid was extremely professional, put me at ease (and I am not easily at ease in the doctor's office) and her assistant Elise (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) was very professional as well as being the best I've ever had at having my blood drawn - no pain, and a very small bruise afterwards!
