So it has been awhile since i visited this place, but i just remembered because the service was optimal and got what i needed "PRONTO". I was warmly greeted by a lovely lady who inmediately took care of me and showed me "specs" out of this world. I decided to scale down from the beautiful, hand made japanese frames from $ 800.00 to a mere GUCCI pair for 350.00 including prescription. Within 4-5 days i received a phone call to come and pick them up. She was courteous and called my previous Optometrist, obtained my old RX and para bum, para bum, i had glasses on the way in a couple of days! These guys are awesome. Fantastic selection of glasses and sunglasses to be sure. But it's really the people working there that make it extra great. I went in for an exam and the office/store was super efficient, on time, and very organized. I walked in and they took care of me immediately. I had a super great, cute guy who handled all of the upfront work and was excellent. Dr. Harris saw me within 5 minutes. She was friendly, explained everything thoroughly so that I felt very well taken care of and trusted her implicitly. She's a great doctor as well - she does this a couple days a week and the remainder of the time performs FDA studies and surgeries. She's obviously top notch in her field. What you do not expect is the courteous servcie and the extensive collection in every budget and they accept insurance as well.....as good as it gets. I wrote a review and it was removed, so here goes again. I LOVE this place, and stopped going for a couple of years as I moved, but now am back , and am so happy to be close to them again. This place is fabulous! They are all very nice, they dont try and sell you anything you dont need, and they are open until 6.30pm - even Saturdays until around 6 too! They will always get me my contacts (if not in stock) the same day or next, and always call as soon as they arrive - and I'm no big customer, but the service is still impeccable:) - I only ever buy one box of contacts at a time, and they never try to upsell me. The contacts have been 25$ for 6 years, the price has never gone up. They always give me free case &solution, even though i only buy one box - which is fab! Absolutely the very best service I have experienced in Los Angeles. Period. Bought a pair of fancypants Chanel frames from them a couple of years ago. The frames recently started showing signs of weird discoloration (!) at the bridge and parts that touched my ears. Something they DEFINITELY shouldn't have done. I took them back to Simon at Optometrix, who agreed that the frames shouldn't have done that (he also marveled at how weird it was), replaced them immediately and said he'd take it up with the distributor to figure out what happened. But did I mention that they replaced them immediately, even though technically they could have cried "out of warranty!" and sent me on my way? They really took care of me when I needed them - and that means EVERYTHING. I've loved the service here in the past,but this level of service is extraordinary and seals the deal. My insurance pays for my eye exams and they keep careful records and make sure to check your insurance before your appointment. I buy Rx glasses and Rx sunglasses every year and I'm never disappointed. This is Beverly Hills so the women who work here look like models and the guys are super cool, just as you'd expect. But these aren't retail workers, these are professionals who know what they are doing and have knowledge of their business. They have all worked here for years and treat their customers with special care. They will hold a few frames after your eye exam if you want to have your special someone see you in all the choices before you buy. Lisa is my go-to person for frame advice. She's obsessed with frames and she'll push you just enough out of your comfort zone to pick a pair of frames that you'll get complimented on and fit your face, but not so far out that you'll feel self conscious. You could go to some some place like a sunglass hut and have a gum-smacking teenager assist you, but why when you can come here? The guys were super nice and fixed it for me while answering some questions about the other glasses they had in the shop. When he finished even adjusted my glasses for me and when I tried to pay, he wouldn't let me. This is perhaps the best Optometric Shoppe in the whole city of Los Angeles. They have a buyer in charge of all inventory named Lisa, and she does an absolutely brilliant job! There is not one SINGLE time that I'll walk in there and NOT see a frame that is out of this world gorgeous. Lisa has an excellent eye and though she represents nearly 90% of all brands, she chooses the very best of all of them. Also there are wonderful employees there named Teresa and Marla. Teresa is so bubbly and friendly and will bend over backwards to help you, no matter how small the request, she is truly a charming and helpful soul. I came to Optometrix because they have a great selection of frames. Too bad their customer service is terrible. I came in shopping for new frames and the guy helping me was having a hard time pulling my insurance so he told me to leave all of my info and that he would give me a call. 3 days went by and he never called. So I stopped in again and he like "duh, I never pulled your info and I'm not sure why." Long story short, I waited forever for him to pull my info (he didn't seem very familiar with the process) and I finally got so frustrated I left. Okay, so... The eye exam was thorough, but I felt as if the assistant and the optometrist were both fresh out of school and had not had much experience with actual people. In other words, the exam was not fluid. The front desk even called the doctor while we were in the back exam room and took her Starbucks order in the middle of my exam!! Whaatt?! Next, they were out of my specific brand of contacts, so I had to wait a week for my trial pair. Not a big deal, but just wait... I picked out the glasses frames I liked, which btw, the only reason this place even gets 2 stars from me is because the office staff were all very helpful when it came to walking me thru the process of trying on 75 different frames. So, I chose my frames and waited the 1week for delivery of them with my new prescription lenses. I didnt get a call from them letting me know my order was in so I called to inquire... After they couldnt find my order and had to call me back when they could locate it, I was told "there was a breakage at the lab and my glasses would be another week for delivery.". So let's get this straight, #1 you couldnt find my order and then #2 there was a mysterious break in the lab (which I was not informed of) #3 let's pretend I believe there was a break and that they did not just forget to send off my order, I still dont understand why when I picked up my glasses on the third week THE PRESCRIPTION IN THE LENSES WAS WRONG!!! Now I have to go through another exam and wait even longer for this major problem to be corrected. Is it just me, or should medical professionals including their office staff be held at a higher expectation than the local Starbucks barista?! I like this place. Good selection in a variety of price ranges. The people who work there don't harass you at all, but are always available if you need help. The technician who makes the glasses (in my case 2 pairs of prescription sunglasses) is way better than others I've gone to.. I took my first pair back a few times and he kept working on them until they were just right. The girls are nice too. They ordered the wrong color lens once, but apologized profusely and were going to re-do them, but I ended up liking the color. And they take VSP! read more

Even after numerous tries to get the order right and paying them I called today when I never received them, and they had lost my order. I've never had such a hard time making a 700 purchase before. Everyone there is amazing! I have yet to make up my mind on a pair of eye glasses but they all do a great job at walking you through frames. It's actually a big deal. I need good frames for everyday and you wouldnt believe how many options you have available to you. I appreciated how they asked me what I am looking for in the glasses I want to wear. Then they pulled a bunch of frames out for me to try based on my face, the shape, skin color, style I wanted, color tones etc. It's made the whole "looking for eye glasses" experience fun and better because I was able to see my options and cancel a bunch out to narrow it down to just a few I have my heart set on. It is a great place and very pricey. I think it's a great investment though. You know the glasses will last you a very long time with good care. They also do eye check ups and deal with putting in prescription lenses. I'm hoping to buy a pair of glasses soon. I'm ganna need to figure out my favorite frame ahhh! read more

I have been a satisfied customer until today, when the imperious and legally ignorant manager refused to telephonically convey my prescription to me (which is after i was told that Optometrix could not put prescrptive lenses in Oakley skiing glasses). My friends and I I have collectively spent tens of thousand of dollars at the establishment, but none of us will ever cross its threshhold again. I am going to share my experience with the owner so he is aware of the considerable cost of the arrogant attitude of his manager. I have been the CEO of two public companies, and understand the importance of maintaining good customer relationships. Imagine how people who are not affluent customers must be treated. Dr.Zakheim and Dr.Harris are the best at what they do! They're very thorough with their exams and the collection of glasses they have are the best. I've gotten a few pair of sunglasses here that you won't find anywhere else, seriously. Anyways, I had trouble reading up close and was getting headaches. Dr.Harris did my exam and she took her time with me and answered every single question I had. Such a beautiful and smart doctor. I trust my eyes with her completely! The Brentwood office is far superior with an amazing staff. Doctor Z is so great - don't be put off by the douchy staff in the BH office. They have a Hollywood office now too but I haven't been there. But seriously - he is a great doc so try the Brentwood store. read more

I usually don't write reviews but I felt so strongly about the poor service here that I thought I should let others know to stay away from this place. Tha attitude of sales staff is very poor and the service is even worse. I ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses and it took more that 2 weeks and mutliple phone calls to finally receive them and that is after spending $300+ insurance. One would expect better service. However, they do have good selection of glasse/sunglasses but you could find that anywhere in B.H. I would definetely not recommand this place to anyone. read more

I was a walk in after Saint Laurent told me they could not help me with the missing screw from a nearly brand new pair of sunglasses. I had been to 2 different optometrists prior. One was unwilling to help, and the other just did not have the right size screw. Within minutes Coin had found a screw that fit, did so for free, and all with a super friendly attitude.
