L'Optique on South Beverly Drive is among the small shops reopening during COVID pandemic. This shop was formerly occupied by 'C' by Karina opticals. The shop was great then and great now. The display of eyewear consists of designer brands and other high quality designs mostly from Japan. When it comes to eye glasses I need prescription, as I am near sighted. All my glasses need to be modified to my prescription so I always end up paying 4 times as much in addition to the already expensive frames. Today while window shopping, I noticed some aviator frames which I will need to try on and get more information. This shop is clean, bright and well organized. The male sales person was nice and offered to help, but I was not quite ready to make a purchase without touching, trying it on, and during COVID, it's a challenge we'll have to 'see' how it plays out. read more

I brought my mom to Simon after She expressed how discouraged she was to find the perfect pair of specs for her very difficult prescription. Simon who owns the place is so great! He is the utmost professional and makes sure you are taken great care of. The interior store is luxury to the Max so it's "easy on the eyes" lol. Dr. Lai is phenomenal. I came in exasperated because my bi monthly contacts were lasting about two days before they became unwearable in every brand! I came over from Lense Crafters optometry. My old Dr was not able to figure out why and left me with no other options. Dr. Lai on the first exam noticed how dry my eyes were- something the previous dr never commented on. My prescription was wrong as well and I needed astigmatism and the old dr said I didn't need it in my contacts leading to me not being able to see the computer screen and getting eye glasses that gave me a headache. I was near tears with frustration! I didn't feel like Lense Crafters knew what the hell they were doing and really didn't care. Dr Lai gave me a trial of two different one day with a-stigma contacts and I will be able to afford these and switch. The old place didn't make them sound so affordable. Furthermore Dr Lai also emailed some info about supplements I needed. She was so knowledgeable and nice. Lastly Bree and Michelle in the West Hollywood location are always a joy to say hi to and always professional and kind. Excellent service and value and customer service! read more

My experience here at L'Optique was stellar! I've known Simon for quite some time and was very impressed with how welcoming everyone made me feel. Simon helped me find the right designer shades that are right for me. I ended up with amazing Tom Ford glasses after being able to try different brands like Cartier and Barton Perreira. Dr. Shoku was also amazing. She took the time and patience to explain what my eye exam results mean and what I can do to protect my eyes in the long run. They had equipment I hadn't seen at other optometrist boutiques. L'Optique's interior design has a modern touch with an elegant feel. Meticulously thought out details like a chandelier and columns/Greek like structures that seamlessly hide doors that lead to an examination room which is genius. COVID regulations are exceptionally executed here with all spectacles and surfaces being sanitized, hand sanitizers available through out store, and face masks being worn by all staff.
