Arrived about 15 minutes before my appointment and was checked in and told to have seat and wait for technician. At roughly my original appointed time technician took me back for the glooms test and other prelim tests the back to lobby to wait. Waiting waiting waiting and finally about hour after my appointment they take me to the exam room. To my surprise there isn't doctor. It's all virtual. A technician acted remotely and completed the vision check. Then put "on hold" watching a video on loop waiting for actual doctor. It took about 20 min for doctor to finally come on, she reviewed the eye exam results from technician and told me what changed and whatnot and sent me on my way. So impersonal and I am not a fan. I want a real doctor in the room doing the exam and talking to me in person. All to save a buck. Another patient came out of the exam room and requested to leave because she has been there so long. So I guess their slowness was not just for me.

An Experience That Redefines Optical Service I recently had…read morethe pleasure of visiting the Warby Parker on Walnut Street, and the experience was truly phenomenal--it was genuinely inspiring and sets a new benchmark for customer service. From the moment I walked in, the entire team demonstrated an intentional commitment to excellence. They were attentive, incredibly knowledgeable, and made the selection process effortless and enjoyable. They didn't just sell me glasses; they provided an experience where I felt completely cared for and valued. The value here is astounding. I received beautifully crafted glasses at a truly wonderful price, but what made the experience transformative was the speed. I was amazed at how quickly my glasses were ready, far exceeding any expectation I had based on previous optical experiences. The seamless combination of expert care, incredible affordability, and swift turnaround time is a testament to the fact that top-tier service doesn't have to break the bank or take weeks. This team is executing their mission flawlessly. If you are looking for new eyewear and desire a positive, efficient, and genuinely exceptional experience, look no further than the Warby Parker on Walnut Street. They are setting the standard for how this business should be run.

I've been going to their different locations for years including this one. This visit had poor customer service however and I will not be going to this spot again. No one greeted me and I was in the store for about 30 minutes and it was not crowded. I purchased 2 pairs of glasses and had to approach the worker myself as well as ask her about their current promotion. The other two staffers on the floor joked and laughed at something they were viewing on a tablet almost the whole time. Not the customer service this place used to be. Try the Cherry Hill or Ardmore location. Much better service. Hoping this was an off day for them. 3 stars is mostly for product and store layout.

Please know that this office cares and wants to be sure the patients have a positive experience. I appreciated hearing from Kim and her proposed solutions (of which she offered many). ORIGINAL: I had been going here for several years. My first year I got Dr Ward and he was great. Unfortunately, in the subsequent years I was passed off to other newer doctors so I missed the continuity in care. On my last visit, a new doctor recommended I try a "mono vision" approach for my multi focal contacts. I was open to it as she said I could "try it out" since it will take a while to get used to. I was told that if I don't like it to "just call" for an updated prescription. It didn't work for me. When I tried to get an updated prescription (around 119 days later) I was told that I was "outside of my 90 days" and would need to come back in for another eye exam. Of course, I would have to pay out-of-pocket for the exam (my insurance only covers 1 exam per calendar year). I was never told of this 90 day window at any point in conversation with the physician or staff nor is it listed anywhere in the paperwork I was given. I feel this is disingenuous and will therefore be looking for a new eye doctor.

However, I recently had two instances that were not respectable of my time. A new staff member called on a Thursday to tell me my glasses were ready and that they could be picked up that day or the following day Friday between 10am-5pm. To my surprise, the establishment was not open at 10:45am which was after the said time of 10am. I waited a half an hour and had to leave. I was contacted after leaving a voicemail, and as a courtesy, my glasses were forwarded via courier to my place of work. I then decided to schedule an appointment for my daughter, but the website was inconsistent with the actual hours of operation. A call was placed to schedule an appointment for my daughter and reached the new staff member that had previously provided incorrect hours of operation. However, I proceeded to make an appointment for my daughter which was for 4/16/19 at 4. Upon my daughter arriving she was told her appointment was for yesterday 4/15 and that she was a "No Show". Twice there was an issue with the same person's incorrect scheduling. The initial impression was great but fell short.

I have tried to get this fixed, but the place has not been open during the hours that they are supposed to be. I went on a Wednesday, and there was a sign that said they would be open at 1:30, and no one showed up to open the store all afternoon. The glasses cost a lot of money for the lenses and frames - you would think they would come back quickly and made correctly so I wouldn't have to try coming back to get them fixed. This business seems shoddy to me - it's deceiving because they are in such a nice location, and the prices they charge are so high.

The young Asian guy was very friendly. The other guy had more of a car salesman attitude. My glasses took a very, very long time to arrive. They were not even apologetic about it. I hesitated a lot before writing a negative review. I decided to do it to make sure the owner is aware of the situation. I don't doubt others have had a good experience, but unfortunately I wasn't one of them.

TLDR: Not recommended at all…read more I've been a customer for 5 years now. Last year, I noticed my glasses didn't have anti-glare coating even though I'd paid for it while ordering. Unfortunately I didn't have my receipt on me so they decided to gaslight me and charge another $65. Months later, I found the receipt, and sure enough I'd already paid for anti-glare. I figured they must have been mistaken. I was wrong. They knew what they were doing. I know that now because of what happened today. I ordered a year's worth of daily contacts on Dec 16. As of Jan 25, they still haven't arrived. The only reason I visited the store today was because I'd called them earlier and they'd confirmed the contacts were ready for pickup. (I'd called multiple times previously and each time they'd told me it would take one more day.) I asked for a refund. Steve took my card from my hand to give me a refund, and then they both decided they couldn't find any record of the transaction. I pulled up my card statement on the phone and showed them that I'd already been charged several hundred bucks. Here's what the ophthalmologist said: "Just because it's showing up on your statement with our name doesn't mean we're going to give you that much money." I insisted it was MY money, I was just asking for it back since they hadn't delivered the contacts as promised. "There's no way you could have paid that much." This is something he said to his colleague over and over again. In addition to: "This is a lot of money. We can't just pay you that amount." This guy is a THIEF IN A LAB COAT. BEWARE! I sat down and made it clear I wasn't leaving. After about ten minutes, Steve was magically able to find the transaction record which had been invisible in the prior 20 minutes. He said, "I'm begging you to let us deliver your contacts. We've already ordered them and now we'd be stuck with them. This will be a big loss for us." I felt bad for the guy and said fine. IMMEDIATELY, his story changed. "I can't order them right now but I'll place an order tomorrow morning." I said if they were already on their way, why would he have to place another order?! He mumbled something about the shipment getting lost etc that made zero sense. I had him hand write a receipt for me. Steve then dropped off the contacts off with me as a thank you for putting up with them, which was a nice touch. This is how they treated me for being a customer for 5 years: incompetence, lies, waste of time, insults, (unsuccessful) attempt at stealing from me, insincere apology, and lies right after. In addition to successfully stealing from me for the anti-glare last year. Followed by dropping off the contacts at my place, about a mile away from their store. Steve's colleague, the ophthalmologist (the bottom-feeder in the lab coat), didn't apologize once for insulting me. He's the same guy who responds to all the negative reviews here with nasty comments. He'll probably respond to this one saying I wasn't acting pleasant enough while he insulted me or tried to steal from me. Because THAT'S what he thinks he's entitled to.
