Most of my previous moving experiences have been mired in difficulties so I was dreading my latest, upcoming move. However, from the beginning, Optimus Moving was absolutely fantastic. I requested a quote through Yelp during their business hours and received a reply within 30 minutes. The representative who replied was quick, prompt, and courteous with his follow up replies to all the questions I had. During the entire process of setting up the move, I never had to ask twice for anything. With regards to the actual move, I was called the Friday prior to my Sunday move for confirmation. The movers showed up exactly on time. I have never seen anyone take so much care to make sure that all of my belongings/furniture were carefully wrapped and padded for transit. Guys were nice, however, took them forever to complete the job! 2 hours to load the truck, longer than any other company has ever taken to load less(we moved all our boxes, this was furniture only), with fewer people. Then another 2 hours to unload. The owner was nice enough to only make me pay for 2 hours, still, I paid for 3 because it seemed fair. I called up three moving companies, compared costs, and Optimus ended up being maybe $40-$80 more for an apartment to apartment move, but I picked them for the quality. Here's what I got. - Three professionals that worked their buts off emptying, moving, and unpacking an apartment. - They had no b.s. complaints about "this is not packed right", or "sorry, this is not in a box." I thought I did a bad job packing, and still had lots of loose items when they came in. No problem, they threw all my junk in big tub boxes and moved it anyway. Obviously, if you pack nothing, and it's all a mess, they do not pack. But if you have some loose ends, they handle it. - Easy to communicate with, easy to work with, respectful, intelligent. Showed up on time, called ahead...just on top of it. Work with them, they will work with you. - Wrapped up furniture professionally, did not damage anything. I made arrangements with Optimus about a month ahead of moving. They didn't ask for a deposit. They called and texted 2 days ahead to confirm. Our 3 man crew arrived on time and worked pretty steady to get us moved out of our apartment. They had to navigate down this long windy hallway to get everything loaded, so the actual move into the house went faster. We used Optimus Moving Services on a back to back move. The first move was from a 4 bedroom home to an apartment. And had them drop off items from the garage to a storage unit. Mike, David and George handled all of our items with care. They made sure everything that needed to be wrapped was wrapped. They diligently went to work and had us moved in within hours. They were very professional and very courteous. Our second move was from an apartment to a house and then back to a storage unit that was overflowing. Again the crew that we had was very professional and courteous. Juan, George and Alfredo also worked with diligence and handle all of our belongings with much care. They too wrapped the items that need to be wrapped. Set up our furniture in their designated areas. As did the first crew. Daniel, Jonathan, and Alfredo did a phenomenal job in moving from our one story home 12 minutes down the road to a slightly larger one story home. They called first thing during the estimated move time and informed me of their estimated arrival time. Once they arrived, they got right to work in terms of what we were taking and leaving back. Packing up the old house took around 3 hours and unpacking to the new house took about another 3. They provided constant update thoughout the whole process in terms of what was left. Worst moving company I've ever used. I had to patch 15-20 holes in my stairway from poor handling of our furniture. We have nicks and scratches on most furniture corners. We had two queen beds missing frame parts and are now unusable. Guys disassembled beds and somehow misplaced footboard, side board, and center support bracket. We are also missing a new 50" television. Our furniture was wrapped in plastic wrap and not blankets which is misleading to how their posted Yelp photos show handling. On top of this we also had a porcelain floor tile damaged. We had Optimum Moving Services move furniture out of our sold home and into a Storage unit. I spoke to the Manager Trae on the phone and he assured me any damages would be covered. I communicated my concern that I wouldn't be able to inspect our furniture for damage until we returned to Houston for our items/furniture. I tried to rehire Optimus Moving so they couldn't blame another moving company for damage to belongings but they didn't have any availability for 2 weeks so I hired All My Son's. We returned to Houston in 11days to examine belongings and took photos of damage. I contacted Trae about missing parts and damages and he did not follow through on his promises. The only repairs he covered was the broken floor tile. I've already had to replace over $800 worth of furniture due to missing items and will have to spend more to repair scratched furniture. Save your money and time and hire All My Son's instead. They actually will protect your furniture with blankets and the professionalism is night and day. read more

The guys showed up on time, moved VERY quickly and got me across town way faster than I imagined. They were polite and delicate with all the furniture, even wrapped up things I hadn't. We had an excellent experience with Optimus and would highly recommend their services. Mike and his team arrived early, masked-up observing Covid protocols. We did an extensive walk through the house prior to "going on the clock." The team did an excellent job protecting everything with blankets and wraps. They were very careful moving several large and heavy pieces from the second floor, as well as a stand-up piano from the first. They also did a great job handling several "delicate" pieces. At the new house, the team was highly organized and effectively communicated with us to get the truck unloaded and everything placed properly. Optimus helped me moving in middle of Sep. I know I owe them an review. This is the first time I used moving company and I had great experience. Trea's crew is very friendly and professional. I scheduled an afternoon moving, they gave me an accurate estimate when they can be at my house and they came exactly at that time. After arriving, they immediately start working. These three men crew worked very hard non-stop. They are very carefully take apart/wrap my furniture and load into truck on where they arrange the furniture very well. All the furniture are snuggly fit so they are well secured meanwhile saving the space. After they arrive my new house, they also start unloading right away. Some of the furniture are very heavy and they carefully move to second floor without damage the wall or the wooden floor. Although there are few little dents on the stairs, I think that is normal for such a moving. They are the crew who works really efficient and the hourly rate they charge is a fair price. I even think they work they done should worth more. Overall, I will give them a Five Star. They are Friendly, Efficient and Professional. Will use them again and recommend to my friends. read more

The morning of the move, they showed up on time (10 mins early actually) and got started right away. They cared for our furniture like it was their own, individually wrapping each piece in furniture blankets and shrink wrap. The heat index was well over 100 degrees that day, but every time we spoke to them or asked a question they were extremely kind and helpful. As soon as they unpacked and assembled the last piece of furniture they stopped the clock, and there were no hidden fees or surprises on our bill. I have 0 complaints. I was scheduled to move at 8am but something happened with a driver, so I was moved to a 12pm slot. The owner offered me a generous discount and was EVEN there helping with my move! They moved all my stuff within 2 hours and were VERY professional and polite. They asked me preference as to where I wanted everything and when my baby's crib couldn't fit in the door, they look apart the door and got it through and place the door back.
