First, if you're trying to find parking in the lot, chances are the spots will already be taken, or be blocked by the drive through line for the Starbucks located next door in the same shopping center. You walk in and sure the place looks fancy. But the employees have no personality, they don't greet you. Was finally cutting the cord to cable TV so I was returning my box. Terrible location with no parking. Just wanted to replace a new remote and stood on line for a long time while the 3 reps were having lengthy interactions with customers purchasing phone service. No one is available for easy transactions like replacing or returning equipment. Terrible location overall but not surprised since Optimum rarely places any emphasis on customer service or satisfaction. read more

Was promised a gift card for staying with the company for 3 months after losing MSG. They claim they emailed it to me now the promotion is over and I'm out of luck. I was just by customer service advised that although there is a large number of people impacted by the outage , it will take optimum a minimum of 48 hours to even consider a repair. For those who work at home, this means headed to the office and the children can not do their school work. This is a group with a monopoly and wields that monopoly as both a shield and a weapon. We use spectrum at our other home. Service is pure gold. None of the problems we see with Optimum exist. And when there is an outage , we receive an immediate communication and service is restored promptly. I understand Verizon may be available. The upside is I drafted a class action and several of my neighbors have agreed to join as plaintiffs. I am very disgusted and frustrated with this company. I am moving on the 6th. I called to cancel my service and was told I need to pay the whole month until the 22nd. Was told you have to call 10 days before your billing cycle to cancel. There are no notices anywhere. It doesn't say so on the bill. Their internet is horrible. Their phone service is terrible and their cable service is overpriced. Channel 12 news is like Pete and repeat and they are just terrible all around. Consumer beware they are not who they say they are. By the way I was a customer for over 30 years and nothing for loyalty. The manager won't even get on the phone and the representatives if you are lucky enough to get someone in the United States just passes you around from person to person.
