I'm sending a second review in after Alton, tech, did good work on my modem and connection this morning. He sent in an order for a service truck and tech to check the installation by my mailbox. Lo and behold, Silas just left after checking those connections. That was quick after a service order just hours ago. Silas tells me I'm good to go. Guaranteed me a price of $50 a month with auto pay and then has charged me $60 a month on auto pay. Their telephone system is impossible to get an actual human. They have contracted a foreign service to do chat assurance, but after an hour chatting, they basically stated there were no notes with that price guarantee and refused to correct it. I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau (if they have an affiliation) for bait and switch tactics. service is up and down more than the stock market. Horrible Customer service! Turned in our router and requested our service be shutoff on November 9th. When we were billed early December, I called to inquire why, I was told the don't prorate and I had to pay the full amount of November. Then on December 23rd, our credit card was charged again! Worst tv or cable service I've ever had in my life. Service goes out constantly and when it is working, the stations freeze every 10 or 15 seconds making it unwatchable for a majority of the time. If I could give a lower rating, I would. I can't believe you have the audacity to charge people for this service and then release commercials bragging about how great your company is. Disgusting! My internet service took a turn for the worse a few months ago and has gotten progressively worse, we will completely lose a signal for long stretches of time. We've had techs out twice and it has done nothing to correct the problem. We're paying more than a hundred a month to watch shows on the antenna. Worst Internet service provider you could imagine. I live part time in Sedona and the rest in St Louis, when in Sedona it's almost impossible to conduct business with optimum as my internet provider. Unfortunately they are the only high speed provider. If a Fiber provider or a competitor does not come in Sedona soon, will probably sell my place and move to Scottsdale if I choose to stay in Arizona as my 2nd home. They are plain awful a day does not go by without an outage. read more

This internet service is fast but very unreliable. There are outages ALL the time it is very frustrating to deal with! If you work from home or need a consistent connection this is not for you. There costumer service is terrible and never put your needs first. I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone. I'm currently on a 3 day outage with no explanation given. I have never had internet service that goes out as often as Optimum. Go with pretty much anyone else. I'd rather deal with a slower connection than this. NEVER EVER use optimum! Their customer service is horrible! They have no interest in actually helping their customers, they just want to sell you more products, and even though the representatives are clearly being forced to do this, they completely neglect the issue you call in about every time. This multibillion dollar company also has no issue finding ways to take more money than contractually agreed to from its customers. We signed up for paperless billing and every time we logged into their app or their website it was "being maintenanced, try again later". They proceeded to add on a service that we did not ask for. Once we were able to access our account and noticed the charges we called to cancel.They never cancelled it and over the next 2 years they proceeded to add that same service to our bill , every time sending us our bill to review only to have our account access be "unavailable " during that time. This resulted in them essentially stealing over $200 from us. I'm disabled and on a fixed income and my husband, who is also my caretaker, has to have internet to work from home. The fact that they would take advantage of our situation and steal from a family barely able to scrape by disgusts me. Now, after doing everything right, paying our last months charges, which they refused to prorate (charged us until May 15th even though internet was disconnected on May 2nd and new residents at same address connected on May 2nd, can we say double dipping?) and returning all of their equipment, they are attempting to charge us again! We thought we were free of them and their bullshit(sorry for language). I repeat NEVER EVER EVER use this company. It's not worth it. Even though they have a monopoly and are the only ones allowed to offer fiber internet in our town, the service itself isn't that great and certainly not worth the extra stress they will put on you. Without exception that have been nothing short of exceptional on all levels of customer service and plan pricing. Their service is non existent. We have been waiting over a week to get our internet and tv reconnected . I was told a person would be out Friday night between 5 and 8. No one showed up or called. I called on Saturday and just got transferred and disconnected. Finally, got an appointment on Monday. Per the local office there never was an appointment scheduled for Friday night. Tried to get help on Saturday but got transferred and disconnected several times. Monday, I called again and got an appointment. According to the tech who came out Monday, they put in new equipment at the box on our neighbors property on Friday, but broke the connectors to our lines. Left them lying on the ground where the tech found them on Monday. He can not fix the connection since that work is handled be a subcontractor. Asked about a credit and was told we have to call another number to request a credit. Still no service today --Friday. Now I have to wait up to two hours for a person to help me. Over a week and no service. read more

My service has been going up and down for the last six weeks. Customer service has told me dozens of times to reboot my modem. I called on Thursday and they said the earliest a tech could get there was Tuesday. The supervisor said I need to go to the store to exchange the modem myself. I said I wanted credit for the last month since I haven't had one complete day of service. They said they wouldn't do it until the problem was resolved. Their customer service is some of the worst I've ever experienced. If I had any other choice for internet I would drop them immediately. THE worst internet option in Sedona. My bill a year 18 months ago started at $60. They told me that I may qualify for some assistance - which I did - which took 3 months to activate and my bill then was reduced to $30. That last about 2 months and then the assistance program was no longer funded. Then my bill was back, this time to $65. It has crept up and is now at $75. I'm moving, so we took the equipment back and cancelled service on the 5th of the month. Now, they say they're still billing me for the full month at $75. Why am I paying for a full month when I only had internet for 5 days? Stay away from this company. Customer service is non-existant. Good luck getting someone to talk to you. read more

They have a purposeful policy to make your life miserable when you stop service with them. They make it nearly impossible to work with them to do so. And then they keep you on the phone to talk to multiple people while staying on hold for each one who all grill you to keep you from leaving. And then they keep some of your money as a credit. I have been trying for nearly an hour to get them to respond to my request for the refund. Finally, they said no and that they will eventually contact me. Yeah, right. They bill for a full month of service after disconnect, even if you are just one day into the next billing cycle. Their customer service representatives are rude, including pointing out that we agreed to get ripped off when we subscribed to their service. After disconnect, they called to tell me their bill was past due, when it was paid in full (even under protest). That customer service representatives was as rude as the first. She asked me to tell them when it was paid. I told her to do her job and figure it out. Worst service I've ever had from any utility company ever. They don't care about you as a customer one bit. The internet service was up and down constantly. Trying to get help from anyone is a joke. Was SuddenLink and now it's no better. The internet goes out constantly and every time you call to complain they read a script to you. I don't think I've had a single day with working internet. What a shame. I wish there was a better internet option available. read more
