On Monday, March 16, 2026, I went to Optimum in Branson Landing, because I had an issue with my phone, after having installed some weather apps on my Android phone. I met with Austin and explained the issues I was having. He took my phone a d immediately knew what the problem was. He was able to fix the problem right away. He then showed me what I had done wrong and showed how to avoid the problem in the future. This is my third encounter with Austin. Optimum Mobile is a total nightmare. The people at the store are clueless and make promises they can't keep. If you have to deal with Optimum, do it through their chat so you have proof of purchases. read more

tried ending services with them and they hung up after 30 minutes on the phone and them transferring me to 3 different representatives who all pretended they couldn't help me. paid my phone off to unlock it and the first representative said it would be unlocked after 24 hours. the second representative said it would take 48 hours. the third representative said 72 hours. it's been a week and they haven't unlocked my phone. I called back and they said they'd have to send it to the escalation department and it would unlock after 3-5 days. they literally refuse to end services. illegal practices. read more

If I could give them a minus rating I would. We have TRIED to cancelled service on 09/05/25. after being on line for 30 minutes was told they need to speak with my husband. On 09/07 husband called to cancel. after being on the phone for 45 minutes thwy tried to upsell and still did NOT cancel. Called a 3rd time on 09/09 on the line for 1 hour and 18 minutes and service was STILL not canceled. We just received a bill for $128.21 !!!!! read more

Service at the Branson store was very slow. Was told Optimum would try to bill me for this free bulk service to my condo. They were right. Bill came the first month and it took me several phone calls to get to the right person to remove the charge. Next month, you guessed it, another bill for the same amount. Store in Branson is in a terrible place...have to walk blocks as it's in the middle of Branson Landing. Super busy with full parking lots. Not open on Saturdays. The remote for the TV's is another joke. To install the batteries is literally impossible. I forced the cover off because the retaining screw is microscopic and too tight to remove. thankfully after removing the screw with a pliers after the cover was off the screw would still hold the battery cover in place. Good thing I work on tractors and combines for a living-don't know what a single gal would do! read more

Called to cancel my Optimum internet. Spent a total of 45 minutes on the phone before being switched to the "2nd" level to cancel. They used every stall tactic in the book. They would ask the same questions over and over...just another way. I begged and pleaded to just let me cancel my account. Finally, when I got to the 2nd level person, they obliged...but only after listening to the whole special promotion spill again. I told her that I wouldn't take their service for free, or even if they paid me, given the Customer Care service I just received. Simply horrible. read more

The only star worthy part of Optimum is their staff in store at the Landing, if you can find it. Connection was substandard during inclement weather and not worth the price. After canceling my service and being told to drop off my equipment, I was charged again and at an increased rate which was NEVER communicated during the 28 minute call of them trying to "keep me" or transfer my service. When returning my equipment to the address given to me during the call it was not there and after jumping through hoops to talk to a representative I was told they don't have a number for the store and I can try somewhere else or get a return label to take it to UPS. There is a store phone that I saw while there after finding it FYI. Do yourself a favor and do not choose Optimum. read more

Better customer service. Need a good number for repair. I had to spend an hour on the phone before I finally got the person who could fix my problem. High monthly fees and low customer service. read more
