While making the appointment, I was already appreciative of how friendly and helpful Regina was. (Regina also helped walk me through the process of billing my health insurance.) During the consultation, I was impressed by how thorough the initial assessment was. I've worked with all three physical therapists on staff -- Doctors Jordan, Julia, and Des. They are all so supportive and caring! The exercises are tough at times, as they should be, but I've never felt pushed too hard (More than a year later, and I jog regularly while keeping up with the strengthening exercises that I learned at R3. No injuries!) Mikey and the rest of the front desk staff are also very friendly and supportive, always ready to greet you (and say goodbye) with a big smile!

She is so knowledgeable and professional, you know you're getting the best care with her. I also have to give the whole staff a shout here as well. Every single member is so friendly, it really feels like stepping into a friend's house. Literally everyone will greet you with a smile on their face when you come in! It's a wonderfully positive environment where you can heal not just the body but also the heart lol --- Tldr: Great place for sports rehab. Excellent, very friendly service! They don't take insurance, it's a bit pricey, and felt a bit sales-y at first, but I fully trust Dr Jordan and team wanting the fastest, and strongest recovery for me. At the end of the day, it's important to me to get back to playing volleyball, and the results so far have been worth the cost. I twisted my ankle pretty bad a couple months ago, and the level of attention and thought that goes into my treatment is above and beyond my expectations. Dr Jordan patiently listens to my experiences week after week and develops hypotheses and remedies as he and I learn about what was damaged and needs improvement. As I heal, we quickly refocus our efforts on the next most important issue, changing the rehab as necessary. R3 seems to specialize in sports recovery, and their stated goal is not just to get you back to functionality, but to push you all the way into playing shape.

Big thanks to all the amazing employees here! I came in after a car accident with a hand and knee…read moreinjury, and everyone made the experience so much easier. Chester, CJ, and Chow were especially helpful--they really went out of their way to take care of me. I didn't catch everyone's names, but from the front desk to the doctors, every single person I met was kind, professional, and genuinely caring.

I rarely ever write a review for a bad place, unless it's something I strongly feel about. I was…read morereferred to SJPT since another PT place was booked up. My first visit was meant to be an initial consultation, however, I did not receive the quality of care in which a patient should receive. Working in healthcare, I understand and empathize with the staff as it can get busy and hectic, so wait times are common, however, my experience was hard to grasp with an empathetic heart. I had an appointment at 10 am, and arrived 15 minutes early. After waiting for 45 minutes, I was still not seen, therefore, I checked in with the front desk. I noticed there were patients doing "walk-ins" and were seen immediately. I communicated with the front desk that I have been waiting for some time, in which they kept saying I would be seen soon. It wasn't until 12 pm, that they let me in (2 hour wait time!) and the front desk staff stated "sorry, we had walk ins". Already pretty annoyed, it didn't make sense to take walk ins ahead of an appointment. When I came in, I was seen by the PT, Chester. I was surprised when he did not review my chart nor ask me about my history and the need for PT. I initiated conversation regarding my history and need for my ankle (he thought it was my hand). After I explained this, he went to print PT exercises and explained it by pointing to the papers. After doing so, my appointment was done. I was utterly confused as to there was no visual or hands on pt exercises to practice with him. I felt like my time was wasted and the quality of my care was extremely poor. Thinking to myself, if I just wanted verbal explanations of exercises, I can easily look it up without a PT appointment. I will not be coming back and encourage others to find a better PT place that will treat you with care.

**Update** - Do your research. Check active PT licenses for staff. They do not have a website…read more The health of the patients are at risk and surely an insurance scam. Insurance companies paying a lot of money for very poor service. The one star is because the staff who are walking the patients through their exercises are friendly. But honestly they know nothing about why you are there. Maybe if I was at my third or fourth visit they would have asked. Okay, maybe whoever is looking at the clipboard knows. They also have staff walking around cleansing the equipment however not sure they are actually cleaning where the patients put their hands, I could have missed it. First day is an evaluation day. I was in and out after maybe 15 minutes. Later I thought that wasn't enough time to really get a full history or importantly explain the goals of healing. My complaints are very similar to others who have posted. You walk in and the first question after you give them your name is, "when can you come in for you next appointment". Oh and everything seems to be on paper. Maybe they put it in the computer later, I don't know. On my first day of therapy I questioned the exercises and asked what they had to do with my hand injury. Staff instantly stopped and put me in a room. I sort of felt I was being punished but it seems this is the room you go to when you question anything. The "guy" comes into the room, I guess he is maybe the certified therapist? I don't think he actually ever said his name. He proceeded to tell me about all the connected muscles from my shoulder to my fingers and all the different joints in between. Funny he gave some outrages number of the joints I have in my wrist. He never evaluated my injury, buy what others have said, maybe I am glad he didn't. Also, it seems they start almost all patients on the "body shake machine" which I thought was super odd. After doing some research, this is definitely not what I needed for a hand injury. I noticed when another patient came in later he passed on that equipment. I did the same thing on my second visit, I really did not like it. I found out later this is all the "rave" now a days. I must have been passed to 4 or 5 staff members as I rotated around to each workout machines. Sometimes passed to other staff while at the same machine. Maybe it is good to have so many staff but none of these people really knew what I was there for. Doing 20 reps per machine did not make any sense to me. 20 reps per and your done, how is that really helping anything. This is how things went on my second visit as well. Oh and now I have irritated a previous shoulder injury. Finally got to working the area of my actual injury. The staff started me off with one exercise and walked away, never came back to make sure I was doing it correctly. Next staff came along and helped me a little more. This is actually where an older wrist injury started hurting again. Then went to the water massage bed. I guess this was to relax all the muscles that were just worked, my shoulders. In reality all this machine does it get a little of my upper back and all of my lower back. It did not touch my shoulders or between my shoulder blades. Then the tens unit. They asked me what was hurting. I said my wrist where my previous injury was but not my current injury. Okay, done with first day. I will admit walking into my second visit and was super skeptical but hoping it might be different. I was coming in a little earlier so maybe it wouldn't be too busy and maybe things would go better. No luck. Second visit pretty much went the same way. First thing, go to the "body shake machine". I advised I did not want to do that so they sent me to the next machine. Arm/shoulder stretch. On to the machines. Same thing, 20 reps per and was passed to at least 3 or 4 staff. Then to the waterbed massage, then they asked about the tens, I said nothing really hurt (meaning hand or wrist) and they said "ok" see you next session. I purposely said nothing else and walked out. So what did they miss? Never even worked on the whole purpose of my therapy, my hand. On both my therapy days, I never talked with the person who did the first evaluation. They never came to ask how I was doing therefore did not know how my hand injury was feeling. Due to previous injury flair ups, I will not return. I will wait and talk with an orthopedist and have better insurance to go somewhere else. Also, the cameras are everywhere. A bit odd but maybe they are truly for security, either at night or any complaints about staff or staff complaints about patients. Still a bit creepy. Yes, all companies have cameras, I get it but with all the other concerns it seemed creepy. I never checked if there were cameras in the rooms. If you have gotten this far, I think their therapy is concentrating on the whole body strength and if you are lucky maybe, just maybe that is what your body needs. I will not be returning.

Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE that I interacted with was so kind. My mother was treated with dignity and respect by all the staff assigned to her case. I visited my mother every day and witnessed a wonderful team effort-Nurses, CNAs, LVNs, OTs, PTs, case managers, kitchen and custodial staff-everybody that I interacted with were helpful, patient, and did their jobs with a smile. Even staff not assigned to my mother's case would pop into her room and check on her. The Director of Admissions spoke with me several times and each time I felt confident that my mother was in the right place. I cannot state enough how happy I am with the care that my mother received, the expertise with which it was given, and the wonderful attitudes displayed by everyone. The facility itself is quite clean, and there is ample parking provided you visit after 3:30 (when staff start departing). There is a large physical therapy room that is fully staffed and equipped. Residents have the opportunity to participate in daily group activities (which my mother did). Dietary requests are also given consideration. Communication between the staff and me was excellent. I was kept informed more than adequately. When it came to discharge my mom I was so relieved that many after treatment details-prescriptions, follow up appointment, arranging of home health care-were handled for me. My mother is very happy with how she was treated by everyone here and I am so glad that Canyon Springs was our choice.
