The people here are FANTASTIC! From making an appointment, to check in procedure, to wait time, to actual procedure everyone is professional, efficient and thorough. I can't say enough great things about them. They also have offices in Palm Coast, Port Orange and Deltona. I moved to Jacksonville in April and when it came time for my mammogram I researched everywhere in Jacksonville on my insurance plan. When it came right down to it I decided to make the trip to St Augustine. I based this decision on reviews I read regarding Jacksonville facilities, I knew Radiology Associates Imaging of St Augustine would do the best job for me, that they would take less time to check in, and that the technicians and radiologists were exemplary in the work they would do. They also have a state-of-the art 3D Mammography. Makes the whole process a dream! They are definitely "worth the trip"!

However the ladies in the front were nice but not informative with my insurance. I came here precisely because my HMO told me to since it was in network. My case worker told me it would be a certain price and when I got here I paid another. So my husband mentioned it to the lady in the front desk and she said she'll look into it. The front staff and techs all have taken care of me like no other. Kayla, Emily (both Emily's), and Lisa are all so friendly, warm, understanding and always puts the patients first. The facility is always super clean, modern, and upon walking in, I feel at ease. I always get super anxious doing my MRIs and everyone here makes you feel so comfortable and always attend to all of your needs. I feel super happy every time I leave the facility. My appointments are always on time. If you miss your appointment or late, they try their best to work with you and your schedule. Sometimes, there might be a wait (mostly my fault for being tardy lol) but it doesn't bother me at all. I understand as I've been to many appointments to treat my tumefactive multiple sclerosis, that sometimes especially in medical settings, the doctor, tech, nurse, etc. can run behind due to treating another patient, other issues, etc. And that's okay, it happens and you roll with it. At the end of the day, you want a facility that genuinely cares about you and here, they do. Speaking for myself but I've never had a problem with them answering the phones or receiving my reports. They've always came in pretty quick and all I need to do is send them an email to request them or pick up a CD. I plan to come here for as along as they have me! And why were we and other stuck waiting there for more than a hour or so, if I didn't go up and complain? They would've kept us there til 3:30-4pm. Mind you , I informed them my mother back is broken in a few different places and she can't be in a wheel chair for hours on need. I was told it would be $99. 6 months after I had the scan, I received a surprise $551 bill from MBB radiology for evaluation of the scan. I was not told that my scan would be shared with any 3rd party for evaluation and neither doctor who recommended the procedure explained that or that there would be an additional charge either. I tried calling Baptist billing to understand why I was receiving the bill and the Baptist employee who answered the call was extremely rude and kept interrupting me. I called MBB radiology and they told me there was nothing they could do. I paid the bill because I did not want to have any outstanding bills under my name. Then I find out that my doctor who ordered the procedure never got the results! I never received them either. My doctor reached out to them and was not successful in obtaining the results. I tried and was transferred to a different number. the person who answered that line told me they only handled billing questions, not questions regarding procedures. I have been unable to get information on my visit for an entire year. I am out of $650 and no one seems to care at all. At best, I feel that this facility is completely unorganized and does not care about anyone. At worse, they, in my opinion, have violated HIPAA regulations. My recommendation is to steer clear of this facility.

The radiology tech or whatever she was that came out to tell me that I needed an order did not do much to us this week only that she had called my doctor for the order I explain to her that the order should be there since Baptist South scheduling called me I did not call them to schedule the procedure so in order for them to call me they had to have an order. That did not matter to her she was not going to make any effort to double check or anything her only suggestion was to call my doctor. I called my doctor and they informed me they faxed the order three different times to the given fax .Obviously someone had the order. Some manager came out or whatever she was she was very kind and trying to help me but the only way she could help me was to call my doctor for the order and again I refused I asked her had she looked for my order and her response was the order wasn't anywhere so I just told her to forget it at this point I was very upset. If the scheduling person received the order then it should be sent to registration and department of the procedure. What is so difficult with that?
