So, I was getting a new dryer and decided it would be a good time to clean out my dryer lint vent…read more I ordered a kit with a round brush and some flexible rods that you attach to a drill and feed through the vent to clean out the lint. Sounds simple enough, right? So the flexible rods that screw together unfortunately separate while I'm using the drill and the brush and several of the rods are stuck inside the duct. I watch a YouTube video explaining how to remove it (it apparently happens frequently) by buying additional rods and attaching a "corkscrew" made from a wire hanger which you feed into the duct by hand to hopefully "grab" onto the brush and pull it out. You guessed it, that got stuck too. I called King Air Duct Cleaning and Lance (the owner) assured me that he understood the issue and he would be able to squeeze me in so I could start using my new dryer. Lance was here this morning and he was amazing. Within 20 minutes he had both of the pieces removed from the duct and all of the built-up lint cleared. Then he hooked up my new dryer, tested the airflow and assured me everything was good to go! And the cost was about 1/3 of what I thought it would be! Highly recommended!!!

He did NOT try to sell me anything. He went around to the main intake vent opened it and had a look, we also went to other vents and had a look. Now, these ducts had not been cleaned in well over the 11 years I have been in the house. It was obvious that my ductwork was in need of more cleaning than the special allowed for. We did discuss the benefits of clear vents and they were all positive relative to my lifestyle. After further discussion, and again at no time did Greg try to upsell me. My quetions were answered and after my evaluation, I authorized Greg to complete the next level cleaning. He got his gear, equipment, hoses, cords, etc and began work. It took him a good two plus hours. The interior condition of my ducts was noticably different after the cleaning. I could tell the air flow from the AC better and when I turned the temp back down, it took half the time to cool. He also cleaned out the dryer vent....quite dirty. I cleaned the other rooms and my mattress again myself. I cannot recommend the business because I paid almost $1000 and did not get what I paid for. I will revise this review if they follow through.
