Go; its worth it!…read more Doctor visits are not high on my list of things to do, but eye checks are important annually. Dr. Katherine Dang and the staff at San Gabriel Eye Center made it almost pleasurable. The staff is nice, quick and competent. They do the y and pre-test quickly and soon you're in the exam room. No waiting around here - Dr. Dang was with me in about one minute. Complete, thorough eye exam delivered very personally. Dr. Dang did not rush me in and out either. She answered all my questions completely and patiently. Needless to say, Dr. Dang is my new eye doctor.

I checked in and got escorted back into a room. I was in the room waiting before 8:30 am even came which was nice. I sat in the room for 30 minutes with no communication that the doctor was behind, nothing. I had to walk out of the room, and go to the front desk to ask to be rescheduled since my appointment was taking so long/delayed. The staff at the front desk could not have cared less, didn't look at me, didn't apologize, nothing. I ended up just saying I'll find another place. Go ANYWHERE but here.

Never mind if I want or need the services, I was charged 99.00 for a contact fitting even thou I have worn contacts for 10 years. Come on I put them in myself. I have been to many Optometrists over the years & have never had this additional charge. Total for Contact exam 150.00 Ins. & 130.00 out of pocket in addition. Total 280.00 for exam. Unacceptable!! Now, to the subject of the contacts I paid for 150.00 Ins. & 110.00 out of pocket for a total of 260.00 & I could not wear the contacts she recommended, so returned to office to order contacts I can wear. Just told her to write my presc. for the brand & strength I had before, TOTAL WASTE OF TIME & $ at this point. Dr. took the contacts back, but only replaced them with 120.00 of contact brand that I had previously worn, which is a cheaper brand. I guess the remainder of the 260.00 was her tip of 140.00. Total spent with for exam & few contacts, ( Ins. & out of pocket) 540.00 & only enough contacts for 5 mos. I DO NOT RECOMMENT THIS OFFICE. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! ITS all about her bottom line. I have never experience anything even close to this mess by walking into DR. Khojas office. This is your chance to avoid this office. There are many honest & caring Dr. to spend your hard earned $ for the health of your eyes. I would give 0 stars if that was an option.

I've been a patient at Clear Choice Eye Care in Cedar Park for years, and my family has used them…read moreas well, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I went in to order new glasses and was very clear about the frames I wanted. The staff initially only ordered the lenses. When I told them I also wanted the frames, they said that was fine and that they would place that order as well. I agreed and left the office. After I had already left, they called me and said the price would be higher (which I expected), but then told me I would have to come back to the office to pay before they could place the order. At that point the process had already taken longer than expected just to order the lenses, so I decided to cancel the order and asked for a refund. After putting me on hold, they called back and told me they would still charge a $46 restocking fee -- even though the issue with the order was not caused by me. As a long-time customer, that was very disappointing to hear. Charging a restocking fee in this situation doesn't feel fair and left a bad impression after years of being a loyal client. I hope the management or owner sees this and reconsiders how this was handled, because I would have preferred to continue coming here. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I won't be returning and I can't recommend it to friends or family.

I asked for some time to think about it and declined to sign on the spot. Later, I called and asked them to email my daughter's prescription since I had already paid for the exam and lens fitting. The staff initially told me they would not provide the prescription unless we enrolled in their $3,400 program, which was very concerning. After insisting, they said they would send the glasses prescription the same day, but nothing was sent. When I called again on March 4, 2026, another employee told me to go to another provider. After the call was supposedly disconnected, I could still hear two employees from the contact lens department talking. They began mocking and insulting me, calling me "crazy" and making other rude remarks while laughing. One of them even said "Dr. K wants to get rid of her." This continued for several minutes until they realized I was still on the line and quickly ended the call saying OMG I think she's recording, This level of unprofessional and disrespectful behavior toward a patient is shocking, especially from a medical clinic. I do not recommend this place. In my experience, they seemed more focused on pushing expensive programs than treating patients with professionalism and respect.

The staff's professionalism, friendliness, and exceptional service are commendable. However, my concern lies in the absence of a backup plan for the single individual responsible for fulfilling eyeglass prescriptions, especially during their unavailability. In my view, it's imperative to expedite the training process for someone else to ensure continuity. If hiring a full-time or part-time employee isn't feasible, I strongly believe that considering a contract hire is a necessary step.
