TLDR: Loyal customers for years, but the doctor proceeded with the July 2025 exam despite my wife reporting her eyes were watery, a known cause of inaccurate results. The resulting prescription was +0.50 diopters too strong in the left eye, making the first set of expensive lenses unusable. This error was confirmed by an independent doctor and, subsequently, by the original doctor's own re-test. The original doctor also failed to reconcile the large prescription change with her stable 2024 history. Due to this mistake and lack of acknowledgment, we were forced to buy a second set of lenses (incurring a total cost of $600+), and we are no longer trusting this office with our vision care. ---- Our family has been going to Optic Gallery Aliante for several years, but our most recent experience has been incredibly frustrating, costly, and disappointing. At my wife's July 2025 appointment, she told the person who checked her in AND Dr. Presley that her eyes had been watering that day. We've since been advised that, during vision exams, watery eyes can make refraction results inaccurate. Despite that, the doctor proceeded with the exam and finalized a prescription that turned out to be far too strong, particularly in her left eye. The new glasses were impossible to use. The discomfort didn't improve, so we went to an independent optometrist in November 2025 for a 2nd opinion. That exam clearly showed that the original prescription had over-corrected her left eye by +0.50 diopters. We then returned to the Optic Gallery Aliante for a re-test later that month (we did not inform them that we'd received a 2nd opinion/exam). That exam produced a third different prescription, again inconsistent with the independent findings. This re-test confirmed that the original July exam at Optic Gallery Aliante was inaccurate. During this exam, my wife did mention that during her July exam, she mentioned her eyes were watery. We feel that at this point, the doctor should have recognized the clear discrepancy between the July exam and their November findings. The difference was significant and should have immediately indicated that their original prescription was in error. We've since had this confirmed as an obvious error that Optic Gallery Aliante should have acknowledged. Instead, we were left with inconsistent prescriptions and no acknowledgment of the issue. Furthermore, when my wife returned to Optic Gallery Aliante in July 2025, the doctor had access to both her 2024 prescription and the new 2025 exam results. We believe and have been advised that the marked difference between the two (2024 and 2025 exams) should have prompted a review for potential error. ESPECIALLY since my wife communicated twice at the July 2025 visit that her eyes were watery, a condition known to distort refraction measurements. This discrepancy should have been caught during the exam, rather than resulting in an incorrect prescription. Because of all this, we have now paid for two sets of expensive ($600+ total) progressive lenses, and my wife dealt with months of eye strain, discomfort, and unnecessary stress. We used the 2nd doctor's prescription for the 2nd pair of lenses, which are perfect.  After years of trusting this office, this experience left us questioning the consistency and accuracy of care provided. I am so furious with this place!!! DO NOT go there!!! I am 71 and went to get contacts here after my ins changed. I have worn contact for over 60 years with no problem until this! Dr. Robert Hoang optometrist did my eye exam (covered by ibs) then said I needed retinal scans and contact lens fitting exam - additional $90.out of pocket! That was to get contacts and I had the fitting and paid it the following week. Then he stayed no he didn't want me to have contacts but would need glasses because I had wotn my contacts without removing them everyday when I admitted I was bad at that! He said he saw some damage but not bad just wanted me to be consistent to take them out at night. I promised to do that and he still refused to give me my contacts and wanted me to wear glasses! I said no because I run and wear sunglasses outside on vegas. He said I did not have macular degeneration - just some wear and because I told him that he wouldn't give me contacts! After making me come back and had the contacts in his hand! I told him I wanted the contacts and would be careful but it wouldn't do it! After I paid for a contact fitting I never have in 60 years! He is a rip off and Judy wants to make money with his glasses which I am sure would be more money for multiple pairs of lost! I would never go here again! I'm not really sure how to rate our experience. Our first time there, we left relatively happy. We liked Dr Pressley and the staff was friendly. We chose not to buy glasses there because we didn't find any frames in our price range. We purchased glasses at another place with more affordable frames and a larger selection. Unfortunately, my daughter was unable to adjust to the prescription given to her and we returned for help. My daughter felt like she had done something wrong in the exam as she could not focus with her new glasses and was frustrated with spending so much on glasses she could not wear. We started at the place we bought glasses and they checked everything and then told us we needed to go back to the doctor. We went back to the doctor and her staff did all kinds of things to figure out why my daughter just couldn't focus with the new prescription. We were grateful for the time spent, but it just seemed she couldn't fully adjust to the eye strain, even with their adjustable glasses. They finally determined she was going to need to talk to the doctor. At first, the doctor was friendly enough. However, it seemed things changed a bit when she realized we bought the glasses elsewhere. After redoing the exam, she changed the prescription a little and had my daughter wear the adjustable glasses again. She also pointed out that my daughter's prescription was very small and she actually has 20/20 eyesight. We have been told that before, but not by her, but my daughter desires to see things not blurry so she wears her glasses with the small prescription. My daughter wore the adjustable glasses for a while before going back in. The doctor asked her if they were going to work. My daughter was very unsure of herself at this point and nervous about giving a definite yes. After all, she had been wrong about her exam before. The doctor got a little snippy at her and told her she wasn't going to keep changing the prescription again and again. She had 20/20 vision and doesn't even really need glasses. I asked my daughter a few clarifying questions and we determined this prescription would work. Even if it doesn't, the doctor was clearly done working with her. Unfortunately, this seems to be another case of Las Vegas doctors for us. You go in saying something is wrong. They check you out and determine nothing is wrong and you are "perfectly normal" and make it clear you shouldn't be complaining. You still feel bad, but nothing can be done. We will not be returning and are a little sad that it didn't work out better. We really had liked Dr Pressley at first. We feel like we offended her by not buying her glasses and she really only gave the prescription to start with because she thought we would buy glasses there. read more

I saw Dr Hoang and was very pleased with my appointment with him. Professional, competent, friendly, and addressed my concerns well. I felt very comfortable with him and his approach. I chose this place because it is close to home and because they carry the brand of classes that I prefer. I did end up with a new prescription and did order classes there. I had an amazing experience with optic gallery. I got the pleasure of being seen by Dr. Pressley. She was awesome. Everyone made me feel very comfortable. I usually get a lot of anxiety at the optometrist because my eyes are really bad but this was a great appointment. I was checked in quickly, the young lady who did my eye exam was informative and patient. It was a smooth transition from exam to doctor arrival to staff incoming (i found out later they have a little button to notify staff when their presence is required which i thought was so efficient & just cool) it really makes the appointment so much smoother. Everyone is right where they need to be to move you to the next step of the appointment. The contacts doctor prescribed actually had a mail in rebate which saved me money which I'm always thankful for, and to top it off they had the years worth contact available to take home that day. Oh, and they tightened my current wobbly broke down glasses. It was literally the perfect appointment. I brought a book but couldn't even read it because there was minimal down time, that's my only "complaint" lol. Thank you to Dr. Pressley and her amazing tentative staff. I've been going to Dr. Pressley and Optic Gallery since 2009, but with COVID hitting, she's had huge turnover in staff as people have preferred unemployment, stimulus checks and free everything vs working, and it really hit this office hard my last visit. Dr. Pressley is her awesome self, and kudos for her getting her 2nd Tesla, but her staff leaves A LOT to be desired. I got my Total Daily 1's from Optic Gallery and was told I would get a $100 - $250 rebate via Visa Gift card. Well, weeks passed and I inquired with the Mfg about my rebate and was told that I don't qualify for one because of several factors: - Amount I paid for my lenses -Date of Exam and Purchase Date of my contacts -Rebate Code provided by the Optometry Officd is invalid. I could have ordered my lenses from 1-800-Contacts, or gone to Costco to order them for way less! I feel ripped off as I have already opened two boxes (1 for each eye). She's very rude on the phone and she hang up on me without saying goodbye. I think she's upset that I'm asking for a copy of my prescription. She kept saying it's expired yellingly and I told her I totally understand, I just want a copy for my record. That's when she hang up the phone...Will never go back to this place ever again. The voice message says Sat 8:30 to 4, so checked the website and it says 8:30 - 4, so then I mapped it and Apple Maps says 8:30 - 4. I will not give1 star because service was good last I was here. My family and I were referred to Optic Gallery Aliante per our provider. We called into the office and mentioned that we needed to book a double appointment. It was a fairly simple process. All of the paperwork could be completed online prior to going into the office. The team members were able to get us in relatively quickly, about 3 weeks out when we had called in, for a general eye exam. As we walked in, the Optic Gallery was well-kept and clean. There is seating in the middle of the Gallery. Glasses surrounded the interior with a variety of different brands. The central desk was in the middle and towards the back of the Optic Gallery was the eye exam area. The double appointments took about a hour long, 30 minutes for each appointment. We were taken promptly. The front desk reviewed insurance coverage options and out-of-pocket costs. Dr.Pressley was quite informative and the exams were quite thorough. One of my family members needed to get new glasses and my other family member did not need anything. The glasses took about 3 weeks to get the order in. The pick-up process was fairly simple. We called into the office prior to our arrival to let them know we were coming in to get the glasses. Once we had arrived, the team member had the glasses ready. It was pretty straight forward. This is a great location, easy to get to off of the 215/Decatur. The team is super helpful and very friendly! read more

Christy was very impatient during my walk in visit yesterday and was visibly rushing me along by continually looking at her watch. They seemed to care more about making a sale than the customer's needs. I had an increase of floaters in the left eye, Dr Pressley squeezed me in her very busy schedule on the same day! I opted out of the optomap but because of my high myopia she said she doesn't want to miss anything so she did both optomap and dilated exam, also I mentioned I had an increase of floaters in the left eye but she said she will do both eyes because of my high myopia. She is very thorough, patient, kind and easy to talk to. She fitted me in her busy schedule the same day and she had more patients after me so she was very busy, I was asking a lot of questions and she answered all of them. She is a really great doctor and a kind person in general, you can't go wrong with her, her staff and facility is excellent too, highly recommended she is just genuinely a very caring doctor. read more

I've been coming to see Dr. Hilaire Pressley at Optic Gallery for years, from the very beginning I was in love with her practice here. She told me years ago, before being zero waste was an Instagram and social media trendy thing that her husband and herself worked extremely hard to turn the office into a zero waste facility, or as much as possible. I like that when you sign disclosures, it's to be signed on a laminated sheet that gets photo copied and re-used! It's genius! It saves trees! Dr. Pressley is very kind and a takes time to answer any necessary questions, I never feel rushed when I am here, I'm also feel that I am treated with care. The colors of the waiting room are pleasant, the plants are healthy and the people who work here seem pretty happy so that's always a good sign of a properly run establishment. There's a lovely selection of designer glasses. I will continue to see Dr. Pressley for all my optometrist needs as long as I remain in Las Vegas. ps check out the cool vintage antique glasses by the entry door, it's a nice touch. I recently visited OG as a new patient because they accept my insurance EyeMed Premium. The front desk staff is just so kind..they were able to schedule me quickly due to a cancellation. The office is gorgeous, social distancing was maintained with sanitizers and everyone wore masks. Dr Pressley ( a LV native) was just so amazingly warm, friendly and kind and eased me into the exam. The tech was also very kind running me through the 3 tests. I had a large choice of frames..but I liked the OG brand better and was able to pick out a great frame I liked. The fitting staff was also very friendly and kind. My order was ready within 2 weeks and I love how amazing they are. They are progressive and transitional and transition immediately.
