So it is our fault for this fraud, and Kinecta will not help us get our money back. We wrote a check for $3,183 to pay our tax to the United States Treasury in June 2025. Someone by the name Deja Woods-Vargas stole it, altered it, then cashed it at a US Bank on 07/11/25. Kinecta did not catch this fraud. When we checked our Kinecta app, it showed the check was cleared but no imaging of the check was available at that time, so we did not know the check was stolen. It was not until we did our tax return, and found out this fraud on Saturday 2/21/2026. We went to Kinecta as soon as it opened on Monday 2/23/2026 to report this. The Kinecta people at the branch were very nice and helped us complete the paper work. One person told us not to worry, the evidence was convincing because we had the copy of the original check that clearly was altered later. We were told it would take 3 months for this to resolve, and we would get our money back. Three months passed, and we heard nothing from Kinecta, so we called Kinecta, and was told the case has been resolved, and a letter had been sent to us. We did not receive the letter, so we went to the Kinecta Branch the same day to get a copy of this letter. We took a photo of this letter and attached to this review here. This letter does not mention that Kinecta had tried to contact US Bank. It just said that it had determined that no error occurred because of untimely notice. The Kinecta person at the branch told me "untimely" because the check was cashed on 7/11/25, and we did not notice Kinecta until 2/23/26, which was over 6 months after the fraud occurred. So it is our fault and Kinecta will not do anything to help us. At that time, we left the Kinecta branch and file a police report as well as reported this to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). After that I called Kinecta back, and was told by the Kinecta representative that since we had filed a report with the police and the FTC, the case is worth to be reopened and reconsidered again. We did not hear anything back from Kinecta for three weeks, so today I called Kinecta back, and was told the case had been closed, and the fault is ours because of the "untimely" notice. We asked Kinecta representative why Kinecta did not even try to contact US Bank to recover our stolen money. She replied that Kinecta had contacted US Bank, but US Bank denied the claim. We asked her for Kinecta to send us something in writing that Kinecta actually had contacted US Bank for us, and the Kinecta representative replied "there is nothing there regarding this to send us", so Kinecta can not send us anything in writing that shows Kinecta had actually contacted US Bank to help us recover our stolen money. So we paid #3,183 for this lesion. We hope that this will also help other people to know that Kinecta as a bank puts Kinecta first, and not members first. We will be taking our money somewhere else where we can trust. There are good people working for Kinecta that we will miss, and we truly wish these wonderful people well. Many of these people work hard and want to help people. We will leave Kinecta because Kinecta as a bank does not need us. It just wants people's money with no caring. We also no longer use checks for payments if possible. Now we paid our taxes and other payment online with traceable account transactions.

    The last time I was at this branch and older Indian women came pushing through the doors, bypassing…read moreeveryone waiting and tried to push past the line and go to the front. When the employees nicely let her know she needed to wait in line she pretended to spit at one of them and tried to hit a woman with her cane. After her little outburst, I thought for sure they would be escorting her out. However, they only made her wait on the side for a few minutes and then allowed her to cut the line and go to a banker. If I tried to hit somebody with a cane, I would be arrested. The woman was extremely coherent. She was not handicap. She was just entitled. Allow allowing one customer to swing at employees and then stay with the rest of us is absolutely unacceptable. She had an outburst at me in the parking lot and pushed me to get past me inside the door and then assaulted an employee and they allowed her to stay. While LA can be a strange place, allowing a disgruntled and violent person to stay with the rest of us is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. I do not feel comfortable or safe at this chase location. Get it together Chase, you're not the only banking option...

She made an unnecessary comment implying I never withdraw money from my account--even though there was a clear record of a withdrawal just two weeks prior. Then she took my valid California driver's license and demanded a second form of ID, which felt unnecessary and intrusive. All of this while sarcastically asking if I was "having a good day." I asked for my ID back and walked out. I won't be returning to this branch and don't recommend anyone else waste their time here either.
