I was spoiled. by my former nail tech of 20 years, but I've moved to Abilene a month ago. I went to several shops, but worried that I wouldn't find anyone as good as my other shop. HERE!! RIGHT HERE! Demi was quick and very good with my fills that were past due. The shop is clean and metal nail trimmers were in sterile pouches. The shop is really big and run very efficiently. The prices don't match their brochure. I went to do a color change with shellac. it shows the price as $25, but when I went to pay, I was told it was $30 for my hands and feet. Making my total $60, which was fine. The problem is they're requesting people to pay more and the prices have yet to be changed, so y'all should be honoring the prices listed. First time coming here, was recommended to come here I got a gel set and was satisfied with the color after that it didn't go very well with the design & after math as the gel is not on my full nail as it should be and gel around my finger than wasn't offered anything to drink maybe it was the type of attire I walked in with but note to say love the salon but maybe not a good day to go in. First, the nail tech did not even give me what I asked for. The first picture is what I asked for, the next two pictures is what my nails looked like after a week and 2 days. Also, he asked me if I wanted a pedicure too, and I told him no that I had a massage after and wouldn't have the time. Even after telling him this, he continually was texting on his phone the entire time he was doing my nails. Then, to make matters worse, they didn't last at all. I will NOT go back here! I love coming here and they do fabulous nails. I feel like I'm back home in Fort Lauderdale. The manager Demi is so sweet and really came to my rescue today when my nails were looking not that great from communication problem I showed a picture of what I wanted to him and kept telling him I didn't like them and he just told me to wait until the end. I tried telling the pedicure lady too , I said "please tell him to stop I don't like my nails" and she didn't understand either so it wasn't until Demi came to the rescue!! The only thing I have to say is about the gentleman, he had done my nails before and rushed me the same way like today and would not listen to me. He justs yanks my hand to not move and goes so fast. I would definitely work on HIS customer service skills. He doesn't like when u tell him there's an issue he gets very upset and made me so uncomfortable. I come here all the time plus 10 stars !!!! Worst service ever, been going for years but this was just bad I never complain never but all my nails were crooked, still paid $110 for pedicure with nails even tho my nails are uneven asked for a French tip couldn't even do that. I took my mother in law in on Sunday, July 21st to get a pedicure. We went in and were immediately sat after choosing our color. We both were offered drinks and greeted kindly and we both had men doing our pedicures. Great personalities and enjoyable because we actually had conversations with them, joking and laughing. But, here is where things took a turn. The gentleman doing my pedicure began roughly using the tool for cuticles. He was clipping and then jabbing that thing into my skin. So much so, it bled on 3-4 of my toes. No biggie, it had been 4 months since my last pedicure, maybe my feet are just really bad. Next came him clipping and filing and the file cut my toes in 3 more spots on both my pinky toes and one on the middle toe. Then, he got the grater out to do my callouses. He told me then, "beware, I'm OCD, I want to clean them up nicely." And I thought oh, how kind. Until, he shaved off so much he took off the skin underneath and made a huge wound on the side knuckle of my big toe. It started to bleed and he kinda freaked out, apologizing. He immediately stopped, put my foot back in the water to wash off the blood, and then went back to grating on that same spot. I about died!! And it bled, quite a bit! I get it, people make mistakes, and I told him not to worry about it. I tried to be kind, and smile through it. And during the massage portion, which is my favorite part, he was rubbing between my toes and his thumbnails were so long they were cutting in between my toes. I kept flinching and pulling away, and then came the dang orange on my feet and legs. That's when I realized how truly cut up my feet were. Stung so bad I had tears in my eyes. It truly was not a great experience at all. I just wanted the dang thing to be over! I mentioned to him when he was finally done that, while I appreciated the fact that he wanted to make sure my feet were really "clean" and soft, that I was pretty nicked and cut up. But, again, I was kind. I didn't complain to the manager or make him feel too bad. When I went to check out I was told mine was $70 and my mother in laws was $65 because he had to remove my previous shellac and she just had regular polish. And we both got gel polish. I still tipped, because his time is valuable, just like mine. My total after tipping was $165, which would be fine if it was enjoyable and felt nice, but that was not the case. I went to workout the next day and my tennis shoes and sweaty feet exposed even more how much my feet were cut up. Having to wear sandals for now until all the cuts heal up. Very uncomfortable for the amount of money that was spent. Needless to say, I will not ever be going back. read more

I've had mostly good experiences here so that's why I'm giving 3 stars. I got pedis with a friend today. We got the exact same service but my total was about $5 more. Not a big deal, but I did want to know what the extra charge was. The manager went to ask and my nail tech came in and said it was for removing your gel polish. I told her I didn't have gel polish. He said it again and I, at that point, was just trying to understand what was going on and repeated that I had regular polish. The tech absolutely freaked out and honestly I would have preferred to pay an extra $5 than cause the reaction she had. She eventually stormed out after causing a scene. I live 20 min from town and made an appointment for 3 pedicures and nails. We came in at 3 pm for our appointment and was told there was going to be an hour wait. I said we made an appointment and she still insisted it was going to be a wait! We went ahead and walked out. I feel like they lie just to try and get you into the salon. I have loved coming here for several years and will continue, but my last pedicure was terrible! The young really tall kid that did mine made me bleed even after I told him that hurt. I've had him 2 other times and he's been ok but this last time wasn't great! It took several days for my toe to stop hurting. I will ask for a different person from now on. Ok so first things first my sister and her friends event to this place and had a very horrible experience the workers there were very rude, they didn't do half the stuff there brochure asked.. the owner was also very rude as well when it came up solving the issues that was happening, she ended up with cuts on her toes and her fingers, they didn't offer her and her friends drinks, even when everyone else around them had drinks. i will add my sister and her friends were not rude to them at all. her nails turned out good she is not saying anything bad about the nail tech and the ped tech did a good job with the nails, but they had to repeat what they wanted a lot and still didn't get what they wanted. all in all she and her friends were not happy with their experience read more

I love this place. They always do an excellent job on my nails and I have no problem communicating with the technicians. There's no language barrier. Everyone is professional and very accommodating. I highly recommend OP nail salon. I've been to a lot of places in the Abilene area and while OP may be in the higher price range...the quality of work is well worth it in my opinion. I went for a pedicure on Thursday expecting to enjoy it and relax after a long week. The young guy that was doing my pedicure went so fast it was unreal! He cut my toe, my feet were maybe in the water under 1 minute, barely cleaned around my cuticles....but the bigger issue was I was out in 20 minutes!! I've done pedicures here many times and they are always good and last at least 45 min to an hour. Typically, I get to relax and enjoy the pedicure...not this time. I spent $50 for a deluxe pedicure and my 3 year old granddaughter could have done a better job. I'm only leaving this review after not getting a response to my email that was sent. Personally, I have never endorsed this salon. I don't recommend anyone to go to it. Past experiences with OPI have proven to disappoint. My close friends were preparing for a wedding, and chose to go with the best reviews and the seemingly best prices. Upon arrival, they were separated and were given unsatisfactory service. When given a manicure, one of my friends received a employee that looked to be in a rush and her nails were treated poorly; no massage and no cleaning of her nails. During checkout, the amount she was charged was very different from the amount they boasted about online. She decided not to leave a tip due to the poor service. Later on, she checked back on her payment and noticed a $15 tip was left- unknown to her. We now understand that said employee left a tip for himself without consent. Overall, unsatisfactory service. DO NOT RECOMMEND. $5 stick-on nails from Walmart look far better than these. read more

I was recommended this place by a good friend and it's the only salon she'll use. I didn't have an appointment but walked in and asked if they would have time for me. They told me absolutely and sat me down, they did my acrylic manicure and pedicure at the same time, saving me lots of time, it didn't take forever but they also didn't rush. They didn't look sloppy after, they helped me match my toes and nails, the shape and length is really lovely despite me not being much help in the way of direction, also probably the nicest/most upscale nail salon in town. :) read more

There are many Facebook reviews on this place. Let me be the first today this was bad service. I went in for a basic pedicure and a shellac gel manicure. My nails looks like crap. The polish is not all the way to the edge and the guy did not make the cuticle end even. The color is splotchy on the nails and he seemed rushed like he was just interested in making a quick buck. Mind you I was there on a weekday morning and it was not busy. The pedicure technician did a good job and her massage was decent. However, when have you ever gotten a pedicure where they just leave you sitting in the chair after it's done and do not come back to help you into your shoes? I have given this place the benefit of the doubt so many times because there's a lot of nice people who work here, I drive in an hour just to come here every few weeks to get my nails done and my toes so I'm spending a pretty penny in here a few times a month.. every time my nails break within a few days if I'm lucky they'll last a week , I've even got to where I express to them so they'll do them a little thicker on the tips and they say okay okay. I just went this past Thursday and here it is Sunday morning and one of my nails broke, I'm livid.. I don't want to waste my time or gas to drive back into Abilene. Whatever you do. DO NOT GO HERE. They charge an outrageous price for a horrible service. They charged my friend a bonus tip charge on her card when she scratched out the tip area of the receipt because the manicure wasn't even finished. They charged 55$ to just paint her nails. Without any sort of hand rubbing or even cleaning out her fingernails. I am extremely disappointed in the service we received. I went with my niece and her bridal party to get pedicures and nails done. My pedi was okay but definitely not worth what we were charged. We got the gel and her has chiiped off in less than a week. Our nails were rushed, we were both cut more than once (I have 4 visible scabs where i was cut pretty) nail beds were not properly done, I have some of my plain nail showing thru, and they have already started to chip around the nail bed. When we were done, our tech didn't even clean the left over nail color or clean the extra product under our nails and when I ask to have the glitter color removed he scraped it off with a cuticle cutter and didn't even clean it all off. I used to be a loyal Hollywood customer, but they are always busy. You would think they would expand their shop to accommodate their flow of business. My husband and I went here for pedis one day. I love that they serve a variety of drinks during your service. The shop is nice, spacious and accommodates the flow of traffic. I went to Hollywood to get my nails done and the wait time was going to be over a hour. So i went to OPI and only waited maybe 5 mins. They have a lot of colors to choose from and the energy in there is just so nice. The service was horrible. Was in there for over 2 hours. My nails are horrible looking, they didn't make sure the nails were the same length or file then straight. They cut the majority of my fingers and kept dipping my bleeding fingers into the powder. It bled so bad the just put glue on it to stop and wouldn't let me clean it. It took two ladies to finish them. When I was checking out I spoke with a manager and they neither cared nor bothered to make it right.
