Tip for finding it: the business park it's in has lots of buildings that look alike. The sign they put out front is quite small. We were the only ones there besides our host, Maya. She was so friendly & welcoming, such a pleasure to meet her. We got started right away in Blackbeard's Cabin, said to be the hardest room. Well, I'll tell you it IS tough! We found lots (and lots and lots) of clues but at the halfway mark had to start asking for hints. What to do when you've found 20 or 30 bits that lead to a solution, but can't figure out how to assemble them? Why, talk like a pirate, of course. With ample hints, we actually solved it with 8 minutes to spare. Many laughs and head scratches, "hmmm"s and "Oh wait, wait!" but in the end we triumphed. DGD the Younger and I don't like jump scares, so I don't know that we would ever try the Chesapeake Bay Butcher room, but I would love to try Cyberpunkd the next time we come to Williamsburg.

If there was ever one escape room I wish I could do again for the first time it would be that one. The puzzles were fun and imaginative and honestly kinda scary and thrilling. We did another one about treasure after that one because we loved it so much and none of us enjoyed this one quite as much. The team was very helpful in guiding us during the times we were stuck. Really fun place!

I called ahead as I saw no one had booked the time before us (5pm). I asked if we could possibly come at 6pm since the booking before us was open. The person on the phone wouldn't even let me get out the fact that we were traveling over an hour to do this room. Very short..:"You can come at 5 or 7, that's it". Okay fine, my boyfriend is a game master so we figured there may not be a game master available at 6pm. When we arrived the guy at the desk barely said two words to us. Put a tablet in our hands with no direction. Again it was a good thing we had done so many rooms so we knew to complete the waiver. After that the only communication we got "first door on the left, good luck". Okay again....direction? Locks? Did you ask us if we had done a room before? Once in the room we had to wait over 2 minutes to get clues that were sub-par, and the game master failed to even mention that one lock was not necessary since we were not playing in competition mode. When we "escaped" the room we didn't even realize we had escaped. No enthusiasm from the game master what so ever. Sadly this is our first and last experience. Disappointing since we traveled over an hour for this one.

We were a group of 3 maximizing our trek to the Peninsula. Even though I prefer staying on the south side, I quite favor this location over the VB one. Our game master, Akira was energetic, enthusiastic and very patient with us from greeting us in the lobby through the end of the game. A walkie-talkie is your communication device. We had some oversights & for those who struggle with presbyopia & small print it can also add to the challenges. Haha funny but not funny, just wait. Just make sure to have several people in your group double check the code when plugging in your answers. We usually do that, but for some reason, we managed to still do that & not open the lock & actually have the correct answer, thus eating up some of our time. Per our game master, Cabin 11 is considered the most difficult of the current three rooms. My only recommendation is to follow up with replacement of dried up markers. Ours died on us. But fortunately, the group was able to power through ;-) Not a biggie. Overall we had a good time, but we didn't truly feel as if it was a well merited escape. :-P

Our group of 6 was able to escape but definitely used some hints along the way. One item malfunctioned requiring the attendant to come in the room with us, but we were still able to move on. The customer service rep was really helpful. He showed us how to use the controls and would check on us once in a while to ensure our game was running smoothly. I wish the VR had an actual category for multiplayers. Although at the front desk, it did show which games were multiplayer along with horror and family. So if you're interested in those categories, make a mental note of a few games so you know what to play instead of searching around. I also saw when playing Rotten Apple, the controller accuracy was a bit off. I don't know if the game needed to be updated or what because the accuracy was fine when I played Shooty Fruity. Overall, I would recommend people to try this place out for indoor entertainment whether it's with friends, as a date, or even by yourself! I would like to come back and try one of their escape rooms next.
