A trip to the South Bronx led me here, I found this to be an excellent place to stay. Safe environment clean rooms for a great price. I was fascinated by the history, which is posted throughout the halls. A very clean hotel, -breakfast was average, but also unexpected, and I am pleased by the options of toast, oatmeal, cereal, and fruit. I certainly will stay here on my next visit. This location offers easy access to train and buses. There are fast food options and deli's nearby, as well as street vendors.

Nice hotel and nice staff! I enjoyed my room, but the area and neighbourhood is my concern. There are a lot of small stores & street vendors up and down the streets, but I didn't feel comfortable buying from them. I didn't feel safe on the streets in this area. I did like the hotel!

I checked in and left to visit the Met, didn't feel the need to go up to the room. Got back a few hours late and one of the windows was open in the middle of New York Winter. Toilet had been used and the sink was not draining. I did what anyone would do an reported it, but good customer service was not available. First thing they ask is: why are you reporting this three hours after check in? Because I thought this was a reputable hotel and I did not expect the room to be in this condition!? Well, we are not changing your room: this empty hotel ( maybe saw two people the entire time) is sold out. Long story short, had to call my booking agent to get the issues resolved. The hotel sucks and I would never stay there again.

Beautiful hotel in the Bronx!!! I say it's a RItz Carlton (heehee) in the Bronx!! Kevin at the front desk was very accommodating and we have continental breakfast in the morning.

This hotel, Regardless of the neighborhood was Amazing! Super Clean, well stocked, very helpful, my husband I were Very pleased! The staff is Great, very helpful. I needed something, called downstairs and it was at my door in minutes, With a Smile! Jonathan was at the front desk, very nice, helpful and well versed. It was So Quiet, we never got to taste the breakfast because it was so quiet, we kept sleeping past it! LOL I can't brag enough about this hotel, it was lovely, peaceful, private, surrounded by restaurants or you can do door dash. The room has a fridge, safe, and microwave, there are vending machines with snacks or soda's or water. Its worth the price and my hubby and I will surely frequent it again!

I wish I could give 5 but I am heading into a review from what I would call... a five star (m)hotel in the Bronx. Many points but let's start with the first...its the bronx! Also, the south Bronx for those that do not know the history. Surprising as this was (because I personally never considered sleeping in the Bronx), I must say that it is a very nice spot that I would come back to if the need to be in the area arose again. So it is listed as a hotel but as mentioned above it is a nice motel. You will not find any amenities such as a pool, gym, room service and what have you. However, you will have a modern place to crash with a bit of history at a reasonable price for the city. Let me add a note about pricing. If schedule is flexible keep checking because I paid about double what I saw quoted a couple days later (both weekdays/same month). Positives: *Cleanliness. A+. The entire place seemed well kept and very clean. *Comfy bed. *Quick and easy check-in. *Courteous and professional staff. *Close proximity to many food options, subway a couple blocks away as well as gym, banks, convenience stores, etc. *Very decent comp breakfast. I would rather not sound like a glutton so I will just list what I saw available: coffee/espresso machine, juice machine(4 options), tea, bananas, apples, fruit bowl, granolla, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, toast & bagels, assorted pastries. Pretty much all your necessities. Nothing impressive but better than a lot. *Parking lot? I noticed a lot out the back door but not sure if it belongs to the property. A note in reference to earlier mention...the building does have some history and actually was a opera house where some famous names such as Houdini performed. I like the "Opera House Times" which you will find in the room to shed more light and find fun facts. Negatives: Nothing really bad to say. If you are seeking something very quiet this may not be the best. No real lounge type area. Rugs in rooms. Maybe it's just me but they kind of erk me, way more so in public places.

I had lost my purse, which had my house keys and credit card in it, so all I had with me was my phone. I asked the hotel if I could pay with Apple Pay since I didn't have my card, and I just needed a safe place to stay until morning. The receptionist told me they only accept cash or card. I then asked if I could book through Booking.com and pay online, would they let me check in. The receptionist said yes. So I made a reservation and paid upfront through Booking.com. But when I showed him the confirmation, he suddenly told me I couldn't check in until 2 p.m. He hadn't said that earlier. Even though I had already paid, he then told me I had to wait *outside* the hotel. It was 5 a.m., I was alone, a woman in a vulnerable situation, and I had gone out of my way just to find a safe place. I was shocked. When I asked for a refund, the hotel refused. I had spent the last bit of money I had, thinking I'd at least have somewhere safe to stay. Being turned away like that--with proof of payment--was heartbreaking. The receptionist should have told me from the start that I wouldn't be allowed to check in until 2 p.m. Asking someone who's already in distress to wait outside in the early hours of the morning, despite having same day reservation, is completely unacceptable. And refusing to give me a refund made everything worse. This whole experience was deeply disappointing and honestly, shameful.

I don't even know where to begin. So we get here at 12:30…read moream on may 8th 2023 which is a Monday because it is after midnight. The clock in the front right in the window clearly says Monday may 8th They allowed my partner (who is a male and looks nothing like me) to go inside and get a room for us with my ID and sign for it on the "registration card" The front desk didn't see I was there yet at all. The hours clearly say Monday to Thursday 20 an hour and then Friday to Sunday it's more expensive. My partner says 5 hours and hands them 100 dollars and they wrote my first name and time stamped the registration card. As you'll see in the pictures attached it clearly says may 8th at 1230 am They didn't write the amount of hours paid for or any special policies. The front window says prices for extra people or extra hours but that's it. We are sleeping at 415 am and the phone starts ringing. They tried to tell us our time was up and we had to get going. We then stated we paid 100 for 5 hours and they then say that on the weekends it is 100 for 4 hours I then chime in and stated it was 1230 am when we checked in which is a Monday not Sunday. She then tells us THAT 6 AM STARTS A NEW DAY NOT MIDNIGHT THIS WAS NEVER TOLD WHEN SHE TOOK A FEMALES ID FROM A MALE and allowed him to sign my name without seeing me or even asking if I agreed when she did later on (after we already had the room key) AND THERE IS NO SIGN ANYWHERE STATING THAT AND THE "registration card" which is just a index card doesn't state it either. They then threatened to call the cops if we didn't leave which I didn't mind and encouraged her to call because it's clearly a scam. They then send someone upstairs. Who is in complete plain clothes and has nothing identifying himself as security at all who then bangs on the door erratically and tells my partner that he can come down to talk to the woman about it at the desk. So now at 415 which is only 3 hours and 45 minutes into our stay theyre waking us up and forcing my partner who needed to sleep for work to now waste more time we paid for to go downstairs and see that there was no sign and they're lying and stealing pretty much. He comes back upstairs and tells me there's no sign and two minutes later the self appointed "security" comes back and starts banging on the door again. This is now when I decide I'm going to go down as well. Not only did the woman refuse to give me a copy of the card that my signature and identity was forged onto but when she finally allowed me to take a picture the card clearly states it's may 8th and the clock on the window clearly said Monday may 8th as well. So then I ask when the manager is going to be there and she says call tomorrow afternoon. I then ask the name of the manager and she claimed not to know. SO NOT ONLY DID THIS HAPPEN AND WE END UP LEAVING AT 450 but the room had a completely broken mirror that was there last week as well. And the smoke and carbon alarms were completely hanging off and detached. The sink is beyond clogged up. My partner slipped and fell in the shower because it wasn't cleaned properly AND THE SHEET AND YES IM SAYING SHEET NOT SHEETS BECAUSE IT IS ONLY A TOP SHEET ON A MATTRESS NO FITTED SHEET AND IT WAS COMPLETELY STAINED WITH BLOOD!!!! Not only should we have been allotted our full time but refunded and put in a non hazardous clean room. The fire Marshall and whomever else need to come get them to fix this. Especially if they're going to charge what they do and steal from people after making up fake policies.

Just a heads up, the hotel is located in a kind of shady part of the Bronx. So keep that in mind. We didn't mind it at all and never had any issues regarding with that. The rooms were nice and clean. One of the biggest things we did like was that it was walking distance to EVERYTHING you could need: Across the street there is a place called Sandbar Cafe. This place was amazing. Super clean place, kind of like a buffet where you pay for the weight of your food. Also right down the block there's a deli place with food. Close by you will also find a Walgreens, Dunkin Donuts, Burger King, Hard Rock Cafe, Yankees Stadium, a couple of little bars, smoke shop, souvenirs, I even saw an urgent care as we took a walk.
