I ordered flowers and a fruit basket for my brother and sister in-law anniversary and his birthday. The experience was not that great the delivery man only delivered the flowers and did not leave the fruit basket which was suppose to be a surprise, when I placed my order with Katelyn I asked her to put a leaf wrap in the vase for the flowers which they did not do, and one of the flowers were brown and broken. I spoke to the manager Will, he gave me a partial refund and apologized and said they will do better going forward. read more

It was early afternoon on my sister and brother in law's 25th wedding anniversary and I wanted to send them a tabletop topiary to be delivered that afternoon. Open Blooms was the fourth call after searching the web...first three were, "No, we don't have that, sorry." I hit the jackpot on the fourth call when Danielle answered the phone so cheerily. She too said that they didn't have any topiaries but added, "Let me think, what else would work and made some suggestions from their website. She completely "got" the meaning and look I was aiming for, and off to the warehouse she went. She described what she found and we decided on orchids. She even went so far as to choose two single stems because one was in bloom and the other still had buds! She had their floral designer plant the two single white orchids in a beautiful dish and at 5pm, I got a call from my sister and her husband just elated with their gift! Made their day! I just got a cactus/succulent arraignment from my in-laws and the delivery person left it on the porch in the cold.....I have two dogs who bark at EVERYTHING, if they had knocked, I would have at-least known about the gift. Disappointed UPDATE: I don't need a replacement but I was honestly just surprised at the reply I got. Just the fact that she cared about the driver leaving it outside meant a lot. So I changed from a 2 star to a 4 star review. I was just annoyed because if I had gone out through the back door, the cactus would have never been found! The flowers were nice, full, and delivered on time. They arrived as I expected. However, I felt the flowers didn't last as long as I would have expected for a professional service. But I am not a flower fanatic so I don't know if they were on par with those you can buy at a store or not. I give it 4 stars because when I ordered, it said a greeting card cost extra. Then, a couple days later they emailed me letting me know I didn't have a card with my order. Some people might like this, but I felt they were trying to get more out of me. I figured they would provide a simple card with the delivery stating who it is from, but they didn't. Since it was for my wife it didn't need a card this time, but the least they could do is say who it is from without charging extra. I still enjoyed the flowers and would suggest them if I was asked for a recommendation, but I won't go out of my way to suggest OpenBlooms. read more

My bouquet arrived dead and diseased and smelled like it! NO JOKE. My son ordered me a Mothers Day/Birthday Bouquet. Lucky me, both occasions landed on May 10th this year so he ordered a super sized flower arrangement with roses, lillies, irises, balloons and so much more .. unfortunately, they were dead. The only thing alive was the green leafage and the 2 of the lillies .. everything else was dead and smelled like it. The water was on the brown side and had a strong odor. The white roses had brown diseased petals going through them. So so sad. On May 11th. I couldn't take it. I called my son and told him about the condition of the bouquet and he was so upset and apologized. He called Open Blooms and thought he would be able to correct it asap. They said NO REFUNDS AND 1ST OPPORTUNITY FOR RE-DELIVERY WAS 5/24! What? Why would I want a re-delivery on 5/24? Just come pick up your bouquet if you can redeliver an immediate replacement with an apology and know that you lost my business and my referrals for life! Not to mention my constant negative reviews. I am a business owner and order 25-40 flower arrangement per year for clients, trust me, Open Blooms will not be getting my business or referrals and neither should they yours.. not because of the mistake. Sending flowers from across the country can be tricky because the bouquets don't always appear anything like what you see online, and it's so much more expensive than what you could bring if you were local. This experience was not like that at all! I ordered same day delivery to a client, but it was not fulfilled. Open Blooms claimed the neighborhood florist they reached out to wouldn't deliver the bouquet unless I could tell them for certain that the recipient was at work or not, and that Open Blooms could not contact me for that verification because my phone number was not on file. My phone number is and has been on file -- I pointed out that it was printed on my receipt. I said I can't say for sure or not if the recipient is at work, but why would they not deliver the bouquet to the corporate office where it would be taken to her desk? Also, the recipient's phone number was on the order and she could have been called directly. I'm very sorry I used this florist. The flowers needed to be delivered that day. read more

I used this for my wedding last year. although the flowers worked, I did not like the customer service. The people who work here are extremely nice; however Linda (who I believe is the owner) rubbed me the wrong way. For one thing, my mom ordered 3 boutonnières and a bunch of roses and when she went to go pick up the roses Linda told her they were not available. My mom called me and I spoke to Linda who was extremely rude and kept saying my mom doesn't "understand" and she never ordered it (English isn't my moms first language). After I kept telling her it's been ordered, she checked the system, realized the order was placed and without apologizing just said there was a system issue but the order had been located. I can't help but feel that she may not have been so rude to my mom if English was her first language. I wasn't going to leave this review before but with everything happening in the world today, I don't want behavior like this to just slide anymore. Besides that, I ordered a bunch of baby breaths for my bridesmaid bouquets. The woman working there at the time told me my initial number of stems ordered would be great (she was so sweet but I can't remember her name); However linda came out and told me that the stems may or may not be enough and I should order more. Afraid, I doubled my order upon her suggestion only to have to throw away handfuls and handfuls of baby breaths of day of because it was way too many. I understand she couldn't not guarantee how full the stems would be, but the amount of flowers I had to throw was made me feel like I was taken advantage of. read more
