I used this for my wedding last year. although the flowers worked, I did not like the customer service. The people who work here are extremely nice; however Linda (who I believe is the owner) rubbed me the wrong way. For one thing, my mom ordered 3 boutonnières and a bunch of roses and when she went to go pick up the roses Linda told her they were not available. My mom called me and I spoke to Linda who was extremely rude and kept saying my mom doesn't "understand" and she never ordered it (English isn't my moms first language). After I kept telling her it's been ordered, she checked the system, realized the order was placed and without apologizing just said there was a system issue but the order had been located. I can't help but feel that she may not have been so rude to my mom if English was her first language. I wasn't going to leave this review before but with everything happening in the world today, I don't want behavior like this to just slide anymore. Besides that, I ordered a bunch of baby breaths for my bridesmaid bouquets. The woman working there at the time told me my initial number of stems ordered would be great (she was so sweet but I can't remember her name); However linda came out and told me that the stems may or may not be enough and I should order more. Afraid, I doubled my order upon her suggestion only to have to throw away handfuls and handfuls of baby breaths of day of because it was way too many. I understand she couldn't not guarantee how full the stems would be, but the amount of flowers I had to throw was made me feel like I was taken advantage of. read more

For years I've always been in search for a great florist. I have used FTD and Proflowers and I am always disappointed. What I choose online is nothing to what I ordered. Well, look no further-I found OPEN BLOOMS. They are an amazing florist who is local and their prices and arrangement are phenomenal. I received a call stating that they could not deliver the flowers to the address i selected when their website indicated that they would be able to deliver. I asked for a refund and have not received it yet. its 1-11-21 I have contacted this company 3 times and have not received any help regarding my refund. This place does not operate as advertised. We (myself and my wife) went to the Open Bloom store location in Chantilly and the front desk lady asked about how can she help us. I told her that we were there to make flower arrangements for our son's wedding. She said that we should have made an appointment. I told her that I am sorry but we didn't know we had to make an appointment. This is our first wedding in the family. She asked when and where is the wedding and I told her that wedding will take place in December and we are finalizing the place and date this week. She said her wedding specialist just stepped away and she picked up the phone and spoke to the specialist. She then told me that the specialist is on her way back and will be back in 15 minutes. We can either wait here or in the car or we can call her to make an appointment. She gave me her business card which had the specialist mobile phone number. She was courteous overall. We went outside and waited for 15 minutes in the car and after 15 minutes when the specialist didn't come, I texted the specialist and introduced myself and told her that we are still waiting. The wedding specialist texted me back and said that she will be there in 10 minutes. After 10 minutes I texted her again to say that we have been waiting for 25 minutes now and we will wait for another 15 minutes before we will leave. If we don't get a chance to meet today, we want to setup an appointment for noon the next day. There was no response and after 15 minutes we finally left after being there for 40 minutes. 20 minutes later when we got back home, the specialist confirmed my appointment by texting me to be there at noon the next day. I told her what our theme colors were and asked her to show some previous floral arrangements that she had done in the past to help us select what we need. To our utter surprise, she sent an unprofessional response saying that we were not prepared, and that she needs more information than theme colors, and we don't even have the date set and place set for wedding, and that we left without waiting for her, and that she won't see us tomorrow and she is canceling the appointment. Seeing that shockingly rude message, I reminded her that she is being very rude and unreasonable. I summarized the entire experience in exact timeline to remind her that we waited for her for 40 minutes . I told her that I would never do business with her and her company and thank her for showing her true colors. This is the worst customer experience of my life! read more

I had a rough start to the New Year. By the middle of the January, things were pretty tough. Not one to wallow in my grief, I decided to treat myself to one and a half dozen roses. I'm accustomed to receiving flowers. But, the treat was ordering from the florist from whom I know I'll receive nothing less than the most beautiful flowers. OpenBlooms did not disappoint! In fact, even though I was fully aware that I'd sent me flowers, :) when I walked into my house and saw those gorgeous yellow roses (I'd briefly forgotten they were arriving that day) I was immediately uplifted! Our daughter ordered flowers from OpenBlooms for my wife for Mother's Day. They arrived as ordered on Friday, 5/10, but there were broken stems upon delivery. I received flowers today from my husband that were ordered through FTD Florist. The flowers came from Openblooms and their marketing slogan "Field Fresh Flowers Delivered Daily" could not be farther from the truth. It was an expensive arrangement that appears to be at least 4 days in the vase. Every single rose (a mix of over 3 dozen small and large roses) is completely open with curling edges. Petals will be falling by tomorrow morning. There were a broken stem rose that was tucked in the middle of the bouquet. Buyer beware that unless you enjoy wasting money this is not the supplier for your flower needs. read more

Everyone makes mistakes. OpenBlooms made an error on my order and the owner called me to make it right. I was very impressed by that.

My husband sent me some flowers to my job for my 25th anniversary for working for my company. The flowers came from Open Blooms in Chantilly Va., it was the worst service I have ever experience. The flowers were to be deliver by 12:00 noon that day. The flowers arrived at 3:30pm, I get off from work at 4:00pm, and when they came it looked like a throw together job. "They were UGLY". They were to be a surprise. I called to thank my husband and then I said you should had waiting until I got off and had them sent to the house. I took the home :( and my husband said, what I paid for and what you have, is all wrong and they should have been there by noon that day. I called them and told them about the big mess up on the flowers. They agree to try to make it right, sent out the order again the next morning. I got the flowers but the order was all wrong again. If I ever hear that someone want to send flowers to someone, I would said 'PLEASE' don't use **Open Blooms in Chantilly Va.***. Flowers are to cheer you up, not make you sad. Our family dinner in McLean, on the night before Thanksgiving, had turned into a celebration for my newly-engaged son and his fiance. I live in Chicago, but was flying in for the holiday weekend, and wanted to contribute my own touch to the party. I'll always be grateful to Linda and the Open Blooms design team.
