I don't usually write reviews for florists but Reston Floral stood out so much that I had to write something to share my experience(s). I live in MD and honestly would make the trek to come out here once in a while because of the quality of flowers and the service that this small florist shop provides. They are tucked way in the South Lakes Village Center but more people need to hear about this place. I believe they are part of the FTD network as well; I also believe you can order online with them... A large handful of my close friends have utilized Reston Floral's services whether it be for weddings, funerals or other special events(baby shower etc) All the pieces that I have personally seen have really reflected the professionalism and quality of the workmanship of this small florist shop. My close friends have been really impressed by the beauty of the arrangements and the plethora/variety of flowers used. In short, they were beautiful arrangements. They know what they're doing. I personally have visited the shop and always have been greeted with professionalism and quality customer service. Kate sat with me during our consultation for my own wedding. She was very knowledgeable about her flowers and very keen on making sure that the wedding arrangements and centerpieces were exactly what my fiancee and I wanted. She definitely made the effort to make sure we understand why certain flowers works and gave her recommendations. She has always been very professional in our exchanges on the phone and provides great customer service. For last minute pickups/orders, they have been very accommodating as well. They do their best to meet and exceed their customers expectations while taking pride in their work. They also carry Godiva products as well which is an addition to a bouquet that you might be picking up. My parents were both florists for over 10 years and although I am not professionally trained, I can definitely see that this florist shop is the real deal. Do not expect dirt cheap bottom of the barrel deals but do expect great quality in service and the flowers that they use. I have been very satisfied with their arrangements and services; I will indefinitely be recommending them to others in the future. I highly recommend that you try them out. read more

Flowers were delivered on time and in a similar vase to what I ordered. A bit pricey but flowers were good quality, I was told. My only complaint is that I called on the day of the delivery and whoever answered was a bit rude. I had these flowers delivered to my Mom in a completely different state and my mom hadn't been home,so me calling to ask if they had been delivered shouldn't have been a big deal... She acted like I should have known and that my call was a bother. read more

Had ordered flowers to be delivered for Valentine's Day and they came out even better than the website depicted the arrangement and I didn't realize it but they also included a small box chocolates as well which was completely unexpected. The flowers also arrived earlier during the day rather than late during the day which I appreciate. Good company. read more

Awesome! I called to send an arrangement for a coworker and they were able to check to make sure they had tulips in stock and then worked up an arrangement after I gave them a price. Walked in on a Friday afternoon, and was the only customer in the shop. Quickly made my selection (a $100 dish garden) and went to the counter. Three ladies and a gentleman were behind the counter in the back room, working on arrangements. Waited for five minutes at the counter while the gentleman walked in and out, and never acknowledged me. Each of the three ladies looked me straight in the face and never acknowledged me, not even to say "be with you in a minute." Finally, I exclaimed " really?!" and this only got the youngest woman's attention. The other two didn't deign to look up. Keep in mind that I was dressed in a nice business suit, obviously looking very professional. Not that that matters, but it wasn't as though I didn't look like a serious customer taking care of business while on lunch. Never again - I live at Lake Thoreau but will happily drive and take my business elsewhere. read more

I wasn't impressed with the customer service. A relative sent a bouquet to me for my birthday. When I received it, I sent a thank you text with a picture of the flowers to them. Apparently the flowers I received were not the ones that my relative had ordered for me. My relative wanted to send me orange flowers (my favorite color) and a specific arrangement. What I received was a random arrangement of different colored flowers none of which were in the picture she chose and none of which were orange. Beautiful yes, but not what she ordered. My relative called the shop who wouldn't deal with her because she wasn't the receiver of the flowers. (She was just the person who paid for them...) The shop then called me demanding to know what was wrong with the flowers. I had no idea that I had gotten the wrong arrangement until the shop called me. It was more drama than I cared for. The flower shop was rude and they would not swap the flowers as my relative had requested. Instead they suggested that I drop my flowers off at the shop and my relative would be refunded. I'm not sure if the woman at the flower shop was having a bad day but who wants to deal with that on their birthday? They turned a nice gesture from a relative into a hassle. No thank you. read more

I've had a standing order for weekly flower deliveries to my mother from Reston Floral for the past six years, and every week my mother sends me a photo of her flowers. The arrangements are consistently and exceptionally gorgeous, surpassing work that I've seen in any other city. I regularly order flowers in New York and Los Angeles, and so far no other flower shop can compare with Reston Floral. Their florists are true artists--they really care about the quality of their bouquets and about their customers. My mother, who is now a housebound invalid, used to be a photographer, and the beautiful flower arrangements she gets from Reston Floral are the highlight of her week. She refrigerates them overnight to make them last longer and makes new arrangements out of the longer-lasting flowers (she has a few pretty dried arrangements she's made that have lasted for years). I don't know what we would do without Reston Floral. I wish they had a shop in every city. read more

I ordered through a very commercial online floral store and received a call at the very last minute that my order would not be able to be completed. I was furious. But I quickly gathered myself and called the first Reston florist to show up on my phone. I explained it was my fiancés birthday and I needed a fast delivery. I told them my story with the other business. Rachel looked up the arrangement I originally ordered through them and came up with something like it. I was directed to Reston Floral by both a friend and family member. I am so glad my husband and I decided to go with Reston Floral! Our appointment went smoothly and the owner was extremely knowledgeable on all different types of flowers, was extremely prepared and provided a lot of different examples of her previous work to help me figure out what I liked best. Reston Floral did all of me and my bridesmaids' bouquets, my husband's and the groomsmens' boutonniere, floral arrangements for the table and reception area, floral decorations for my cake, and floral decorations for my ceremony area, including an arbor. On the day of our wedding, she and her team arrived hours earlier than our wedding to set everything up. They did such an amazing job decorating. They are extremely skilled and made everything look so beautiful! All of my guests couldn't stop talking about the flowers at my wedding and my husband and I keep looking back at all of our pictures from our wedding because all of the floral arrangements made everything come together perfectly. Just really had the worst customer service ever. I went to pick up my $200 dollar order and was just treated so badly. They had the corsages (9) all together in a very long plastic container that would only fit in a commercial cooler. I explained that they would not fit in the refrigerator and was then questioned when I needed to use the flowers. I said tomorrow morning and I asked for smaller containers, they said they didn't have any. Turns out they did have them... I guess just didn't want to go get them and transfer them. They did - angrily. I then had multiple small containers and I asked for a bag and they said they didn't have any? Eventually, I got a box to carry them in. And the best part, when I got to them to the event, they are WRIST corsages! I did not order wrist corsages. I will not use Reston Floral again. read more

I ordered super last minute flowers online for same day delivery at 10:00am, worried I ordered too late or they would arrive at her office too late.....at 11:15am (YES, IN AN HOUR) I received a text from my mother with a picture of the flowers. They even sent me an email of confirmation of delivery with a number to contact for questions. Maybe I am overreacting and this is considered the norm in a nice place like Virginia....but I live in Philly and I never get service like this. I ordered flowers from here for my girlfriend and had them delivered to her office in RTC. I was worried she wouldn't get them in time, but they were delivered super fast. Even when I called the office to confirm the delivery time, I was quoted a time well ahead of what the website said. My girlfriend texted me within the hour to thank me for them. Fast! I can't speak to the order process, but after a painful surgery I was excited to get a delivery of the most beautiful flowers! I would like to start off by saying I have never experienced worse customer service. I placed an order on May 8th at 9:30am for the "exquisite beauty" bouquet in the premium size to be delivered BEFORE 12pm on May 10th. I was informed that the freesia and another flower displayed in the online advertisement was not going to be included in the arrangement. I was not thrilled about that since I had spent $106 on the arrangement but I came to terms with that. I called at 11:00am, 11:30am and 11:45 am the day of delivery to ensure they would indeed make it on time. When I spoke with a shop rep, she told me she would contact the driver and give me an update. That NEVER occurred. Ending result is the flowers were NOT delivered on time because my mother had already left for the day. 1:27pm another shop rep called to let me know that the driver was on his way to my mother's office to deliver the bouquet (an hour and a half TOO LATE). This is unacceptable and disappointing to say the least. I will NEVER give your shop my business again and I will discourage everyone I know from doing so as well. read more

I live in Florida. I'm always nervous about ordering flowers online. I usually ask for pictures to follow up on if what is sent is what was ordered. This time I didn't have to ask. My mother in law was over the moon with her arrangement! She sent pictures as soon as she got back to her desk. She continued to rave about them all week. They are beautiful! I can not thank Reston Floral enough for my mother in laws flowers so memorable.
