Valentines day flowers. They were pretty but despite being ordered in advance they were delivered on the WRONG day! Had to call them and ask where the flowers after they delivered only half of our order and they said they guy would bring it in an hour. An hour went and nothing. Then they called and said by 7pm that night. They called at 7pm and said they guy would come the next day. I was very disappointed with how much we paid for a tea cup flower arrangement. Pictures CANNOT convey my gratitude for the warmth, kindness and empathy that went into this "project!" I nearly forgot my parents' 55th wedding anniversary and called GardeLina for help at 3:39PM on the day of. Mind you, they close at 7pm. Before you judge me, let me explain ... Last year one of my greatest fears came to fruition. My mom was hospitalized during the Covid19 pandemic. Little did I know, this nightmare would be relived two more times, all within six months. It was a cousin who actually reminded me of the anniversary a few days ahead, because she wanted to confirm the date to send a gift. My 77 year old mom has chronic illness and between dialysis and other dr appointments as well as my dad's health challenges and the day to day caregiving, the anniversary celebration simply slipped my mind. So on Friday 2/26 I was scrambling from 9 am - 9 pm to do something special, memorable and to be the best day for both of them but, especially for my mom who is a remarkably resilient woman. Now, let me tell you about GardeLina... Remember the part about calling them at 3:39pm? I didn't place my order until I arrived at the store and talked to Lina in person, about 20-30 minutes later! Had it not been for social distancing I believe she would have given me a big hug. I told her the situation and shared that we don't know how much time my mom has left. "I know I haven't given you much time, but can you please make something special?" I gave her the colors, we looked at a few vases to determine size and she went to work! I arrived at 6:45 pm )just before closing) and she was putting on the finishing touches. What an amazing and beautiful masterpiece! One of, if not the best I've ever seen! My mother was blown away! Customer service here is A+! I was on the hunt for an arrangement for a funeral. GardeLina had by far the best prices. I was between the Touching Tribute Spray and the Sacred Garden. I picked the Sacred Garden even though it was about $30 more, because I felt the Touching Tribute had too much pink & purple. I expressed this to the florist and she said she would swap some of the pink flowers out of the Touching Tribute for some white flowers at no additional cost. I ordered flowers from GardeLina for Valentine's day. I realize this is a high volume time and when I called they informed me that the vase I wanted was not available, so I can't really fault them for that. Moreover, the flowers did look healthy and nicely arranged, so I can't really fault them for that either. The issue I have is that I paid over $130 after upgrading the bouquet I selected to the premium version which was originally priced at about $90. The arrangement was already supposed to be very large and impressive. The flowers I received were not, they didn't even meet the expectations of the original bouquet. If I had to give a valuation of what I received, I'd put it around the $60 - $70 range. For these reasons, I'm going to give them a mixed review. They obviously have nice flowers and a good eye, however they really did come up short. My recommendation: Go in person and have them put something together there or show you what you can expect to get before ordering. Then, if you are happy, hold them to that standard. I was happy to spend the money for a great bouquet, too bad that's not what I got :( read more
