I strongly advise against using this florist. They are not reliable! This morning, I ordered a bouquet of white roses and lilies for a friend who lost their father. The florist assured me they had the flowers and quoted a price of $149. I agreed, provided my information, and told them I would pick up the flowers at 3:00 p.m. They confirmed this arrangement. When I arrived at 3:00 p.m. to pick up my order, the young girl at the counter was unfriendly. I told her I was there to pick up the white roses and lilies, but she said they didn't have any white roses. I explained that I had placed an order that morning and expected it to be ready. She responded that there was no bouquet waiting for me. I asked why I had been told they had the flowers when they didn't, and why no one called to inform me they couldn't fulfill my order. She made no comment. The store itself feels creepy, and the flowers in stock did not look fresh. Find another florist to avoid wasting your time. read more

Herndon Florist did my wedding flowers and it is no exaggeration to say they were jaw-dropping. I received several compliments from guests who said they'd never seen anything like the arrangements at my wedding. Their wedding work is unique and exquisite. Beyond the final product being amazing, the ladies at the shop were responsive and professional throughout the whole wedding planning process. I didn't quite know what I wanted up front and Anne, along with her other designers, worked hard to take my ideas and inspiration photos and make something that was unique to me and just what I wanted. I looove small florists rather than going to the typical 1800flowers and such. My birthday was earlier this month (January) and I received a delivery from this florist sent by someone. I am not a big fan of balloons but they stayed inflated for 2+ weeks. I still have them up in my office right now! The flowers were beautiful. I got 1 1/2 dozen of red roses. They were all opened and it smelled wonderful! Only reason as to why i didn't give it 5 stars is because it was a surprise from who it was from and he did not leave me a message because he was going to tell me later on. Instead of not including a card, they wrote 'no card message' on a blank card. I would have figured that they wouldn't even include a card. All in all, beautiful flowers and balloons and I would use them in the future! read more

I visited Herndon florist for a bouquet and was impressed with their quality flowers. What soured the experience was that upon checkout I received significant push-back about not providing my home phone number to the business. I paid by credit card and was on the verge of cancelling the transaction. I explained my reluctance (marketing and identity theft) to provide personal information beyond what was necessary for the transaction. The clerk finally asked me to provide some phone number so she could satisfy the system. I did however I regret doing so. That kind of high pressure sales technique demeans such a business. I can't speak to the price of the merchandise, I thought it was fair at the time. The quality of the flowers was fine. However I do wish that in that instance I had cancelled my transaction and had an opportunity to explain to the owner why I was not happy. read more

Must Read For All Men!!!!!! My husband and I were having a nice Valentines. I was getting ready for us to go to dinner when he brought in a flower arrangement bought at this store!!!! I am furious!!!!! The people there are so sloppy!!! They barely put the flowers together it was horrible!!! Looked like it was done by a 5 year old!!! I ended up getting mad at him for spending $100 in a piece of trash and we did not go to dinner and it ruined our Valentines. So thanks to this mediocre flower shop for selling over priced trash. I just received flowers from this florist for Valentine's Day, by far the ugliest flower arrangement I have ever seen. Zero thought went into this arrangement. It was a mason jar with 3 sprigs of white daisies and 2 sprigs of purple daisies, on the outside were two sprigs of red berries (guess that was the Valentine touch) and a red plastic heart charm on the vase instead of a ribbon. Seriously, I despise daisies, they remind me of funerals and my husband knows that hence he would never have ordered them for me. He said that he spent about 50.00, could have gone to Wegman's and bought my own gorgeous arrangement for 35.00. I did call them and they promised to make the order right and I am still waiting. The excuse was that someone probably made the arrangement late last night and just threw something together, do they NOT check their arrangements before they send them out.
