Every detail felt intentional and high-end. What stood out even more was how he treated us. During such a difficult and emotional time, Amir was kind, patient, and genuinely caring. He didn't rush anything and made the entire process feel calm and supported. He even took extra time to make sure my toddler felt comfortable and happy while we were there, which meant a lot to us. I support local small businesses whenever I can, and when I Google searched a local florist for NJ they came up after sponsored results. I went to their site and saw a beautiful arrangement "Sleek Romance"; roses, carnations, baby breath, and one flower I do not know of but the colors were peach and red with sprinkles of white and I knew the family member it was going to would love it. After taxes it came up to $101.00 which is about average for an arrangement of that kind. I immediately received an email after placing my order that it had been received. Also, in that same email was in fine print that they service 200 zip codes in the DMV area, so I knew afterwards that my order could potentially be cancelled. It was not cancelled, it was in fact transferred to another florists nearer NJ who did their own design (not at all the same arrangement but close) and also selected a date outside of my chosen date. The arrangement was delivered the day before Valentine's Day and not of and this bothered me because the florists assured Open Blooms it would be delivered today. I would give them another try because they are a family-owned business and they are local to the DMV. I'd also do my own due diligence of cancelling my own order before having them find another florist to arrange and deliver my order. read more

They charged my credit card, then sent me an email saying that they could not deliver the order, with no explanation. I had to follow up to find out why, and they said they don't deliver flowers in Kansas. Then they sent me an email saying that they had refunded the charges to my credit card. It took me 2 visits to my credit card company to confirm that the charges were never refunded. Some nameless, faceless person at Openblooms insisted that the refund was issued, but "it might take up to 10 days for it to be processed." Two months later, no refund. I placed an order on 2/4/26 for a Valentine's Day delivery on 2/13/26 - a full NINE days in advance. I wanted to pre-order because I know how busy it gets, and wanted the floral shop to have plenty of notice. I actually had to get in touch with customer service on 2/4 because I received status updates about my order being "On its way," which confused me and I had to go back and make sure I had set the delivery date correctly. Customer service didn't respond to my feedback of the confusing status emails but did confirm that delivery was slated for 2/13. Ok. So why is it that I have to call at 2pm ON THE DAY OF DELIVERY and ask for a status update on the actual day? Talked to a real person and she said that due to the "volume of orders," my delivery was running late but SHOULD still make it by 4pm. 4pm rolls around, she calls me back and says that they would no longer be able to deliver by COB because it was a business (they close at 5pm) and asked me for an alternative address. I went ahead and just cancelled my order because I refuse to give them my business at this point. I was left scrambling trying to find a florist that could deliver by COB but most of the flower shops in the area weren't even accepting Vday orders anymore - thanks a lot OpenBlooms. Maybe Stephen T responding to everyone's 5-star reviews here on Yelp should re-examine his business model if they can't fulfill a Valentine's Day order for a customer who orders 9 days in advance, in anticipation of the sheer "volume of orders." If you're a flower shop that can't fulfill Vday orders...what is even the point?! Maybe actually address the real complaints about service for people leaving anything less than 5-star reviews. There are some good reviews on here but I'm warning everyone - only order from this business if you want to roll the dice on your flowers getting delivered. There are plenty of local florists who will get the job done. Is this a legit company? i NEVER received my $97 (Botanical Bliss) mothers day flowers for my mother that i ordered the morning of WEDNESDAY MAY 7th. On Sunday morning, i had a gut feeling "i should call" since i did not receive any follow up about delivery. Sent me dead wilted flowers the day before Valentine's Day. They were supposed to deliver them on Valentine's Day February 14, 2025 instead they delivered them on the 13th. First picture is the first ones that were old and dead and also 3 broken. Very grateful to OpenBlooms for making my mom's 60th birthday a special one! I ordered early in the morning from Texas (my parents still live in the DC area). I had done a search for flower shops near them and OpenBlooms came highly recommended. They had a nice selection of flower arrangements and even offered balloons and cards for special occasions. It was easy to order everything online. The pricing was pretty consistent with other shops I've seen, maybe a bit pricier. That said, the quality was excellent. As a word of warning, same-day delivery can be up to 8pm. My order was delivered around 6pm, which was fine, but I didn't know it would be that late. I had tried to call, but their phones were busy. However, they are very responsive to emails. That said, the ship is located in Chantilly and they do deliver to DC and MD as well. Just something to keep in mind! If you're wanting an earlier delivery, I'd probably opt to order the day before. Overall, the service was excellent and my mom really loved the arrangement.
