I ordered flowers last week to be delivered this Monday 8/19 for my mom's birthday. Monday came and went, I called the company 3 times and have left a voicemail as well as an email and I still haven't heard from them. Now they are closed so I guess I will try again tomorrow. Very disappointed. I live on the other side of the country, and I was just trying to send flowers to my mom on her birthday because she absolutely loves getting flowers. I haven't seen the delivered orchid so can't comment on the quality, etc., but the ordering process was easy and the plant was delivered when promised. The price is about average for florists. (I prefer to order directly from the local florist and not through a third party.) read more

Sent me dead wilted flowers the day before Valentine's Day. They were supposed to deliver them on Valentine's Day February 14, 2025 instead they delivered them on the 13th. First picture is the first ones that were old and dead and also 3 broken. My boyfriend had them resend new ones and they waited until day was over ruining my Valentine's Day with wilted and broken roses. I don't recommend ordering from them because the service is trash!!! Last year they forgot my candy. TLDR: Place the order for as early of a delivery time as possible. I was prepared to give a 5 star review had my order been delivered on time. I ordered flowers for the service for a funeral service in Gainesville that I could not attend, so this arrangement was very important to me. I was hopeful based on how great communication was with my requests. I asked for a picture of the flowers to be texted to me or emailed and it was added in the order notes. The delivery confirmation was for a 9am delivery (for a 10am start). I called the office at 9:45am and 10:01am Eastern and both times they were told by dispatch that they were "almost there". I got the delivery confirmation 10:18am. It was really important to me that the flowers be there upon my family's arrival because I felt awful that I wasn't there. I was pretty emotional when I called and the office was really nice and wanted to be helpful. Perhaps this was a case of 'unforeseen problems' (which they were not told) and/or a matter of dispatch not being forthcoming with their actual arrival time. I never got the photo but thankfully the flowers were correct and I was told they were lovely. read more

The evening of her birthday, I send an email to customer service requesting on update on the delivery, to which I never received a response. I then contacted the refund line, where they informed me the delivery address was outside their delivery range. This information was not conveyed to me at time of purchase or the days leading up to the scheduled delivery. The flower order had allegedly been forwarded to a local florist, who rejected the order on the day of scheduled delivery. Again, this was not conveyed to me until I contacted the refund line. They were not and when I contacted the company the following morning, they responded that they don't delivery to that area. Recently found out about an unexpected death in the family. It was a very jarring experience as no one had informed us about the death until months after it happened. We were distraught as you can imagine. One of our good friends sent this gorgeous arrangement from OpenBlooms. Totally made my day! Tears of sadness changed immediately to tears of joy. I cannot say that I have received a more beautiful and unique arrangement -- ever! Over the years, I've sent and received hundreds of arrangements. This one was by far the nicest. The flowers were delivered on Nov. 19. Today is Dec. 2 and over half of the flowers and all of the greens are still beautiful like it was delivered today. The arrangement was delivered in a "no contact" fashion due to COVID-19 precautions which was great. The email response addressed the discrepancy between the web pic and the item delivered. A refund was received within minutes after the email response. They delivered as the fulfillment agent for 1800Flowers, 1800Flowers has the absolute worst service ever. They delivered part of my order but forgot an order of flowers, balloons and chocolates. They sent an email letting me know the entire order was delivered. After trying all night to get someone to help me I am starting to give up. They got my money but never made good on the order. I have talked to a person on the phone who said they would make sure it arrives by 8:00. It's now 10:30 and it's not here. I was told in chat that it was delivered then they ended the chat. I've sent emails and no response. So my mom never got her gift for Mother's Day. I will never use this service again, they are terrible. UPDATE: So OpenBloom reached out and are making this right. They have been extremely attentive and caring about the mistake. Last night after dealing 1800Flowers terrible customer support and getting nothing resolved I asked for a refund. 1800Flowers said they wouldn't be able to redeliver till 2 days past Mother's Day after they made the mistake. They did't care and kept me spinning on this till 3AM. OpenBloom emailed this morning and offered to redeliver today with an upgrade even after the refund. I was skeptical but somewhat relieved. What I appreciate was that they wanted to make it right. They acted like they cared. It wasn't a far off call center with tons of workers on phones working issues they don't care about, don't understand and don't care about the 100th customer complaining that hey screwed up. OpenBlooms support cared, this is what makes a business better than a company like 1800Flowers. OpenBloom is a great company. I will use them directly next year and for my other flower needs throughout the year. read more
