I've seen several of their basketball teams play in tournaments in the Orange County area and there seems to be a common theme with their teams. Their coaches have no class and encourage their players to play dirty. This type of philosophy was even being taught to their 2nd grade girls. I even spoke to several of the tournament directors the past few weeks and it seems like this is consistent with their overall reputation. I will never recommend anyone I know to have their kids join this organization. read more

I came here for a basketball tournament. The facility is sponsored by adidas. There are 9 courts and a full training gym. There's a cafeteria with hot items, snacks, drinks, smoothies and 5-6 television. Each TV was a different sports game. The fees to get into the gym where $25 a day or $70 for a weekend pass. Parking on the premises cost $20. There's parking across the street, but we were told that is cash only. To be a premier gym, it definitely has all the bells and whistles and appears to provide everything and athlete would need. read more

Whoever runs this gym needs their a** kicked because there is absolutely NO air conditioning, an the little fans that they do have ain't doing much. They love to charge a lot for entry and parking but can't afford air conditioning? It's a shame how these kids have to play in the tournaments and dam-near die because there is no air. Just being a spectator is misery due to how hot it is in here smh. read more

You know you're a club volleyball dad when you are rating facilities like this - or probably reading them for that matter. The facility is solid and I wish we had one in SB. Three long rows of courts are pretty well spaced, with two-row bleachers at each, plus a TV that should have had the score up but instead flashed advertisements for the concession stand. The concession stand was out of probably half their items by 11:30 and the wrap I had was mediocre, though the fries my daughter had were pretty good (real hard to do a bad job on fries). I've seen some pretty good concession stands at this point, so a bit disappointing, especially knowing the tourney would be this big and they are charging $20 for parking and $20 a head to enter. Grateful for spots like this and hoping they can do a better job with food next time. read more

If you want to check out some of the craziest and talented high school basketball teams, this place is for you! It has 9 courts and there are games on all of them at the same time! It's a bit of sensory overload of you're not used to it. Lots of buzzers and whistles. I'm not sure how the players keep track of it, but the do. You can pay cash or with card at the entrance. First of all don't schedule a tournament the same day or atleast the same morning as Disneyland blocks off the neighboring roads and freeway exits that prevent access to your facility (fun run, 5k I don't know - but whatever it is it was definitely planned in advance!). Really?!? That helps no one by bringing in more traffic clogging up an already congested area. Irresponsible. Waze couldn't keep up, didn't recognize all of the closures, it was ridiculous. Secondly your netting is insufficient- I was hit in the back of the head hard by a ball from the court behind me. Your 'protective' netting falls far short. I consider that negligent. Of course there is risk attending sporting events but your facility did a shoddy job of hanging nets to protect spectators. I'm here now with hours left to go, I'm livid and my head hurts. UPDATE - my head still hurts almost 2 hours later so I spoke with the assistant general manager and visited the medical tent. I've been given ice, treated respectfully and I appreciate that. I sincerely hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

Cool gym. Gym parking lot is small, but for sports events like today's Volleyball tournament, they also use the parking lot that is right in front, I believe that's the inside swap meet's parking lot. $20 per car. There only a few metal benches inside by each court, but it is not enough (and they are a bit uncomfortable lol), it is high recommended to bring your own chairs. They offer a snack shop and a equipment shop. read more

This is a review for the EBC camp not the OGP facility. This is not an angry parent review, this is a high school varsity coach and program director review. EBC camp is a hype train that actually does very little for the attendees. Attending 3 of these camps in 2 different locations and seeing that there is no positive take away for 99% of the players attending. Camp focuses on talking about and brining up the "NBA talent" that has come through the camp.... Reality check those guys would have made the league without attending the camp. For that to be the focus rather than how to make an elite high school player is actually crazy. Because 97-98% of these camps athletes don't play past the 12th grade so to focus on a small number of "camp veterans" devalues the vast majority of the young athletes. Also no coaching, teaching, or training actually takes place at these camps. Evaluation.?.? Sure, maybe but an evaluation of the wrong things. There is no emphasis, teaching, or rewarding of/for playing the right way. It's a free for all at best. Spending 9 days at a combined 3 camps, walking the courts, listening to players, they really don't know what's important for the upcoming high school years. Hearing players say "give me the damn ball I'm trying to get 30," and watching the "elite" coaches watch, hear, allow, and not correct this is crazy. Shift focus to trying to build elite high school players instead of hoping that there is an NBA prospect in the building that you can atta h your name to and run with it for years. As a coach I attended many events all over the place, to network, interact, and see what's out there. The pecking order of these camps for what the teach, emphasize, and build that ACTUALLY MATTERS FOR 98% of these players (building capable, knowledgeable, and well refined high school players and giving them a slight edge for beyond the 12th grade) - NBC - by far the best camp I personally have ever seen - Local to your area college camp, often available in 90% of areas, hosted by involved coaches, trainers, and current college players - TIE: MadeHoops & Under Armour - much much better than other big brand camps. - PGC this camp is often looked at as a marketing machine because they do market very well and carpet bomb you with material. But down to the bones of it, it is a very solid camp. - EBC dead last because outside of a hype train there isn't much to it. There are some other smaller scale camps that offer "exposure" that are growing and may become relevant in the coming years. But of what's out there do your research don't just sign up because someone is promising something "elite," or "exposure," or something that is in all honesty too good to be true. Also when EBC travels to cities and has their "Top 20" at the end of each camp. Those "Top 20" are the ones that are supposed to attend their big "regional top tier" events. Seeing players well outside that initial "Top 20" just so you can hit numbers is a bad look and wagers your camp down significantly. read more

LOVE this indoor basketball, volleyball and sports gym! It would be a great venue for tournaments! It is quite a large place ready for a fun time to play some hoops for sure! The fifth star was definitely for being spot clean and well organized too! Everything was in its right place. Shout-out to John the main guy! He was very accommodating to our friends. Too bad my two favorite guys didn't win as many games as they would have liked too. Ended the night with 2-2. Tough Asian crowd tonight! read more

The fees they charge for tournaments, including parking and entry, are outrageous. It's pure exploitation, not something that benefits families. Because of this now when I see that a tournament is Open Premier we opt out. On top of that, they put up signs outside their facility prohibiting parking - even on other businesses' properties which is just ridiculous. We already pay $600 per season to be on a team, and then Open Gym Premier charges $75 just to enter a tournament, $20 per day for parking, and $20 per person per day in entry fees (which adds up quickly if it's a holiday weekend). For two parents attending, that's at least $195 for a two-day tournament - and even more if it's three days. And that's before factoring in travel and food expenses. Yeah, I'll go park somewhere else just because you made me mad. read more

Nice clean gym. Gave my dad a military discount, no problem. Everyone who worked there was so nice. And the lady in the parking lot was very nice....stern but nice. You can not bring in any outside food so don't bring any coolers, leave it in your car. I did not have anything from the snack bar, so I can't rate that. It is very cold, like most gym facilities. The bathrooms are constantly cleaned, just wish there was another bathroom on the other end or more stalls. read more

We had tournament this pass weekend. The gym was hot to the point that I was about to pass out, no AC or fans in site. They charged $20 for everyone over age 5 plus $20 to park. They also had a sign $5 for first aide with a tip jar. I was appalled by their greed. You are charging a player for a bag of ice or band-aid?? When our team paid $500 for tournament? This gym is right off the freeway so it was a great for traveling basketball teams. That was rhe end of the positive factors. They charge $20 for parking, even across the street in the lot they don't even own. Then they charge $25 to watch children play basketball. My wife and daughter had to pay $85 dollar to watch a 1 hour game to support my neice. The gym itself was muggy and warm and the concessions were absurdly priced as if it were a theme park. I want to watch my niece play, but with prices like this I won't be doing it frequently. Somebody has to make a change because entry fees of $25 to watch 12 year olds play basketball is unbelievably overpriced. I would never support this establishment again read more

Very expensive compared to other tournaments. Been to a few of thier tournaments and the scorekeepers keep taking minutes off games when they think no one is looking. You pay for 40 minute games but you'll be lucky to get 36 some games. read more

The gym hosts travel basketball and has a nice facility However, before you step into the gym to watch a game, they charge 15 dollars for parking and 20 dollars to walk in. I've came here a couple of times for my God kid's basketball tournaments. I normally fly from Las Vegas to the SNA airport (about 15-20mins away, give or take $20-$25 uber/lyft) When you get here, they normally charge for parking (didn't catch the cost) and you can also park across the street for cheaper. It's a indoor Mexican swap-meet. (Tip, just tell the guy working the parking lot, you are there for the swap-meet, parking towards the front doors of it and walk to the gym. It's free :) if you say your going to the gym, then they will charge you.) but this swap-meet is a great place to go to if you your trying to kill time between your basketball games. The reason for my 4 stars is because I love how this facility has EVERYTHING! It's a great place for a tournament. * 12 basketball counts (maybe more) * Food court * Enough bleachers to watch the games * Restrooms are clean * Shopping store and overall well put together. The tournament was well put together. Just for an FYI, adults, please don't get mad at these kids for dribbling a basketball everywhere. Pros: Nice facilities with multiple courts; very clean and well maintained. They have a cafeteria which is great since there are not a lot of food options that's walkable. Cons: They overcharge at the door where other tournaments are a fraction of their door costs. What can be done in a two day tournament, they milk the door fee by extending the games out to 4 days (Labor Day Weekend) and doubling what they are making off spectators with entry and parking. Specatators drive all that way for one game a day for multiple days vs having multiple games over a weekend. I see what you are doing there OGP! Free registration for the team but they make more off door. Also, they trick parents to get that lamea$$ grassroots app. Email say its required if you are playing. This organization only care about putting money in their pockets. parents pay a small fortune to enroll their kids. The gym still charges a fortune if you go see your kids play. $20 to park, $15 to enter $ $10 for kids over 5 yrs old . How can parents, grandparents and friends support these kids with these prices. There are parents with several kids, grandparents on fixed incomes, which makes it impossible to watch them play weekly. Kids don't understand that we just can't afford it. First off, a business is not obligated to give a military discount and if they are screening civilians who are abusing this honor then please keep screening people and make them show ID! They have the worst snack bar ever. If your kids are playing in a tournament here make sure you bring food from home. My son got a breakfast sandwich and he could not even eat it. I went and grabbed some curly fries at lunch time for a snack and they were terrible. After several attempts to reach OGP via email and phone calls and no response I am now leaving a review. Sunday 2/18/24 my 10 year old son had a game against another 10U team. The referees were not making any calls for pushing, slapping, or obvious flagrant fouls. They were not calling for a jump ball until the kids were struggling for the ball on the floor. One child on our team got pushed to the ground at least 3 times and intentionally tripped another two times; he was given a foul at least one of those times. My son had the ball under the basket and a child from the opposing team slapped him in the face. I don't think this was intentional but it was certainly a foul. The ref called a jump ball! Nothing was done despite my child having to come off the court because not only was his eye hurt but he was distraught. This is the worst I have ever seen it. One parent came and spoke respectfully to the referee during a timeout but it did not help. Our coach requested an official from OGP come immediately to address this because the players were getting injured. The referees advised the game would be forfeited. Our coach refused to have the kids play like this and I agree. And so, our game was forfeited. When the referees do not address the aggression on the court or make calls on both sides of the court, the kids then take it into their own hands. And even worse, the parents will start to take into their own hands. The game then becomes dangerous. These kids are 10 years old and need the referees to be looking out for them. Player safety needs to be at the forefront at all times. We have been coming to this facility for 3 years and I have witnessed some atrocious referring but this was dangerous. We paid $205 just to attend this tournament. read more

COVID continues to be a concern and this summer '22 has been seriously HOT! Why is it so stuffy, it smells, and they have these huge ceiling fans, but they don't turn them on? Theo location host many sporting activity and our safety out health should be a priority. To find someone that works here and asked them to turn on the fan or have better ventilation, like turn on their AC is a big hassle. They need to change management or clear out staff that don't bother to relay the message (when we complain) or they can see, smell for themselves but they don't do anything about it. On a positive note, the toilet always has soap, napkins and toilet paper. read more

It is so much different in here than it was when it was ASC. It is half the size, but it isn't nearly as loud as it was. The food in the cafe is SO GOOD, and I mean that. It is amazing. There are some nooks and hallways for teams to hang in their off times, but that real estate is pretty prime so get it early when you arrive. B1 and the middle courts get a ton of foot traffic from people going from one court to another, which isn't ideal, but there isn't really a solution. We are grateful for this venue and that it can hold a number of teams. read more

This facility looks awesome. Huge! Needs more parking spots though. Also I have my child currently enrolled into PG 101. Initially I was excited to see the different moves they would be working on, but I noticed that since my child does not have as much skill level as some players, when she's not doing the move right or looks like shes just trying to keep up with the iinstructions, the coaches dont really take the time out to make sure they are doing it right. They just move onto the next move. I would like to see them giving more feedback to the players and maybe what stuff they should work on at home. read more
