Parking is horrible. $20 for no in and outs is bad especially when you have to another venue for other games and pay $20 there then need to come back and pay $20 again here. Besides that, you're forced to eat there since there's nothing nearby to eat and you can't leave without paying another $20. Definitely an issue that needs to get resolved. read more

I've been to this gym a couple of times for AAU basketball tournaments, and unfortunately, each visit has been more disappointing than the last. There are several things that really need improvement, especially considering how much visitors are paying. First, the lines to get inside can be ridiculous. After already paying $20+ for parking, having to wait in long lines just to enter is frustrating. Then, depending on the tournament, you may have to pay another $10-$50 just to watch the games. For the amount of money being spent, you would expect the overall experience and facilities to be much better. The heat was another major issue. I came here in August, and it was extremely hot inside. They had the delivery gates open, but that didn't seem to help much. With so many people packed inside watching games, the temperature made it very uncomfortable to sit around for hours. Another big problem is the lack of seating. The main gym has eight courts, but there are very few places for spectators to sit and watch the games. If you're coming for a tournament, plan ahead and bring your own chair, because you may be standing or sitting on the floor for long periods of time. The smaller gym on the other side has four courts and is even worse. It's very small, has basically no seating, and the layout is not very convenient. Getting between the two areas is also frustrating. There isn't a clear or convenient walkway connecting the main gym to the other side, which makes moving around during tournaments difficult, especially when there are large crowds. The snack bar was another disappointment. There weren't many food or drink options available, which is surprising considering how long people are typically there for these tournaments. The restrooms also needed more attention and were noticeably dirty during my visit. Overall, the location has the potential to be a great place for basketball tournaments, but the experience needs a lot of improvement. Better seating, cleaner restrooms, more reasonable parking and admission costs, improved ventilation/temperature control, and a better layout would make a huge difference. After multiple visits, I really hope the facility addresses these issues because, as it stands, the experience just isn't worth the cost and hassle. read more

I've been playing at numerous basketball leagues at this location & the courts are very spacious. However, there have been a few times where the courts have been very dusty/dirty (maybe from previous kids camps/games beforehand?)...it's a big hazard for us trying to have a men's basketball league, my suggestion is to get a broom/mop to wipe down the court after each different activity (for example, after kids basketball camp, have someone wipe the court down... after volleyball is finished & they are putting hoops up, have someone wipe the courts down). Also there have been a few times where we have been scheduled a late game and in the middle of the game, the lights just shut off. I understand there is a "closing" time but there is a better way to go about it rather than just shutting off the lights completely to people leave. read more

Good size venue with multiple courts, but the food is way overpriced. Also, they don't clean their trash often. Every single time I've been here the trash cans look like this. There's plenty of staff just standing around at the food counter, but I guess no one likes emptying the trash. Completely unsatisfactory in my opinion. Just to park and get inside you're looking at $25-$30 depending on the event. C'mon AIM, have your staff clean the trash hourly this is ridiculous. Small parking lot for the amount of families that come to bring their kids for these tournaments. I would love to see the other businesses that aren't open on the weekends extend a helping hand. These kids families are coming far a wide just to use this facility and the limited parking is $20 for the day. All these other business could be making some profit for their empty parking spaces. Ok I'm done had to vent. Which reminds me only vents in the building it's very humid with these young ones playing their hearts out and no AC. Ok onto positives. On the other hand inside the facility was very spacious. Bleacher seating at the various courts. Restroom facilities and cafe with tables available thought I didn't utilize either of these. Well lit but it is very stuffy inside. Bay doors are only halfway open for some ventilation. They need better air flow for the amount of people inside. I've been playing in a basketball league at this facility for over five years and genuinely appreciate the quality of the courts and overall maintenance. However, I feel it's important to share ongoing feedback regarding our experience at closing time, specifically involving the gym manager, Jordon. On multiple occasions -- consistently over the past several years -- as soon as our games end (which are scheduled close to closing time), Jordon immediately turns off the lights and loudly tells us to hurry up and leave. We fully understand the importance of closing the facility on time, and we respect that staff have schedules to keep. However, this pattern of behavior has happened repeatedly for years and continues to feel unnecessarily abrupt and unwelcoming. It creates a negative end to what is otherwise a great experience. Also, on several occasions, he has been very confrontational towards players within the league (myself included) when we are shooting around to warmup prior to our games. His tone and delivery always feels disproportionate to the situation. I'm sharing this not to attack anyone personally, but because this has been a consistent issue over a long period of time. Many of us have been loyal participants in this league for years, and we value feeling respected as customers. I hope this feedback can be taken constructively and lead to a more professional and customer-focused approach moving forward. read more

We do not have a lot of tournaments at this facility but I love coming here now since I recently discovered 2ND & PCH is located around the corner. The sports complex hosts a variety of sporting events like club volleyball. It's made up of two buildings. One main building has a small lounge and cafeteria. Their made to order pizza and hot dogs are very decent. However the chicken pieces and fries were not good. The teriyaki chicken bowl tastes like a Costco bowl or jack in the box that was microwaved. However it was ok for a cafeteria. They have a very good selection of ready salad, fruit, sports drinks, and pricey bottled water. They serve a small variety of tap beer and tap wine after 12 noon. The wine is not good. It taste like it's from a box. There is seating in the cafeteria but it get crowded quickly. They have more space for tables and chairs but don't use it. Overall, it's good and convenient to have a cafeteria lounge in the gym but some improvement is still needed. read more

They have a nice air conditioned snack area with tables and chairs for the parents to work or relax until the kids are done with practice. There is ample parking around the gym. read more

My son had a volleyball tournament at Aim Sportsplex on 1/11/25. They have 2 buildings so we are glad we asked where our court was and we were able to park on the right side of the bldg. it would be helpful to have signs of where the courts are held as some of our teammates got lost. The facility is nice and clean. They have a net that separates the courts so the volleyball's aren't flying everywhere. They also have a nice clean restroom and plenty of stalls. They also have a cafeteria for those who want food, drinks snacks etc. the prices are on a high side so if you want to save some money then I suggest you bring your own and perhaps eat outside or in your car. They have plenty of parking space. Parking was $10 and tickets for spectators were $15 per person. They seemed organized except that we were at the last court and they only provided 1 side of bleachers so we were glad we brought our own chairs. This place is ok. Nothing really exciting about it. We came here for a basketball tournament on a Saturday starting at 5 pm with the first game. There is a lot of parking at this location, but it does get full real quick. Just be patient, people are always coming in and out, you'll find parking. They charged $10 to park and then $15 to get into the courts. It is expensive, but it is what it is. The two teens at the entrance of the parking lot were courteous and pointed us on the right direction. The building where I was had 4 full courts inside. Lighting was ok, good enough for me to take some good pictures with my camera. Two buildings and lots courts. It's very loud and players can't even hear their coaches. They don't know when refs are blowing whistles on their court or the next court. They charge $20 cash only for parking and $20 person for entry to the games. There is not enough seating and seating is placed at the end of the courts. Came here for a tournament. Overcrowded, ot, humid and no ventilation. It was nice outside, so it would be as easy as adding some windows that open and skylights that open, or turning on the AC. Miserable. Inadequate parking. It's like trying to find a spot in an office park for a company that has outgrown its office. I am advising our tournament organizer to book elsewhere in the future. I gotta say this is one of the nicer sport facilities I've worked at. They have an affordable cafe that serves alcohol at a reasonable rate. The snacks aren't super expensive and are pretty decent. These places just make me feel bad about human kind. It's like it's all about amassing the money and not about offering a good service. Like, how did they decide to charge me $20 a car for parking and another $15 per person at the door? It's a Saturday at an office complex. There are no cars here other than the ones that are at the tournament. They charge us because they can. The bathrooms are disgusting. No one is servicing them. It's mid day and they have already run out of paper towels and soap and there's literally bits of scum and food and hair in the sink. Plus the customer service sucks. Nobody know which way to point you. You just have to ignore it all so you don't slap someone. It's just a money grab. read more

We had a three day tournament here and on the last day there was less parking because the neighboring businesses where we had been parking had work so we were no longer able to use their parking lots. A parking attendant waved me into a fire lane. I naively thought that if they were waiving me (and many others) into these fire lanes that they must have received permission from the city beforehand because who would otherwise tell people to park in an obviously illegal spot if you didn't have permission... Tournament ends and I go out to my car to find a parking ticket for parking illegally in a fire lane. At first I was told by AIM employees that an announcement had been made and that the tournament director had gone to each court to tell people to move their cars. I was inside the whole time and never heard an announcement. After finding the tournament director I told him what had happened and he reassured me that these fines would be paid for by AIM and all costs would be reimbursed which even though is still a hassle, seemed like a proper response. They handed me a paper with their email on it and I emailed them with a receipt of my payment to the City of Seal Beach for my ticket. It's been three months and they still have not reimbursed me. It was only about $60, but it's just the principle. read more
