The food is good and the prices aren't bad but the staff is rude af . Especially the old man who is the owner.

Haven't visited in person but ordered delivery. The wraps and sandwiches were delicious! Not pictured below but the falafel had a good consistency (not too dry or overly crunchy). The dolmades were tasty and came in good portions for sharing. The portion sizes were very fair and great for a lunch meal. read more

This is a great local place and I feel honored to be able to have authentic Greek food and family in the area. Can never go wrong with gyro ($6 gyro and fries on Tuesdays) and Baklava. I only dinged a star because the atmosphere of the joint isn't warm or somewhere I want to stay and settle in. It's like crisp white clean with a harsh electric blue. Surely it's an homage to the Mediterranean, but I just don't enjoy the setup. read more

In the middle of Trolley Square, this place is a hidden gem! Their Greek food is pretty spectacular and their prices are fair. Their best deal is on Tuesdays, $6 for a huge gyro and a ton of fries! Not to mention, their exceptionally friendly staff who can make everything to your liking (for even the pickiest of us). read more

For the area, really delish gyros...meat was so flavorful, service was friendly and prompt. Packed nicely for take out. Clean inside. Tried the gyro wrap and for the price it includes fries too, definitely worth your dollar. You can taste the freshness. read more

Opa Opa - Wall of menu! Easy to read - Greek Near Me - Wilmington, Delaware

Fast service. Food fresh and delicious. Ordered a chicken salad. Everyone in my group enjoyed their food as well. Immaculately clean with beautiful scenes of Greece on the walls! We will go back next time we are in Wilmington. read more

excellent gyro - filling, and perfect. I hardly even get gyros at other restaurants anymore because I know they won't be as good as this place. Absolutely recommend trying it out. Really good rice pudding too :) read more

The two women at the front counter was rude and disrespectful and they started yelling for no apparent reason I was just trying to do my job. It was clear that it wasn't about my job it was about this color of my skin. They actually said don't touch the orders, I do doordash if I don't touch the orders how do I get the food to the customer. It doesn't make sense. read more

This is Greek fast food done right. It's not huge and it's not fancy. But the food was excellent and a great value. I got a Gyro Platter. It consisted of a small, fully assembled gyro with a decent sized Greek salad. Much better than the typical platter platter that forces a diner to construct a gyro from parts at the table. I also picked up a chicken gyro, which was a stand-out. The lamb & beef is ground together and roasted on a vertical spit--pretty much what you'd find in any US gyro shop. The chicken is not ground, but is a mix of white and dark meat, nicely spiced and stacked on a vertical spit. That's harder to find. Both the lamb and chicken were cooked nicely, browned but not dry nor overdone. My salad and gyro had very fresh components. Fresh tomatoes, crisp lettuce and onions, and plenty of feta. The tzatsiki was excellent, too. I made a second trip to Opa! Opa! and everything was just as good. I also tried a chicken cheesesteak and it was excellent, too. Opa! Opa! will be a regular stop any time I'm near Wilmington. read more

Everything is so fresh and delicious. The big Greek salad with chicken will last me at least 2/3 meals. The warm pita is my favorite part.

Beautiful wall decor almost made me feel like I was eating in Greece. Tried the rice pudding and it was a little too cold. Like it was literally giving me a toothache. The rice was a bit hard too. I guess it is not made fresh every day. The gyro platter I had was A++. Greek salad was awesome. They do not skimp with the gyro. read more

Opa Opa is one of the freshest, most flavorful food spots in Wilmington Delaware! Every visit never disappoints. I have had almost everything on the menu and it is always hard to choose what I want to eat lol The food comes out very quick and the menu is hefty with lots of options to choose from. There are homemade options from secret Greek recipes, which most food places do not do homemade. I go here at least twice a week, even just for the desserts! read more

FRESH is the only word! From the freshly chopped salad to the made to order dinner. Real attention to deail! Who takes the time to nicely slice scallions in salad? Great local tomatoes....just yumm! The BEST quality Greek food! I'll go back again and again! read more

I have never heard of this place until one day, my mom took me here for lunch. The place was hoppin', a lot of people waiting for their orders and a lot of people coming in to order their food. Seating is limited, but if you keep your eyes peeled for the people leaving, you'll be able to get a seat. My mom and I got gyros and they were one of the best gyros that I've ever had! The only other place that I know of and that makes delicious gyros is a food truck in Newark, but now I can add this place as one of my go-to places to get a gyro. I can't wait to try other items on their menu! Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a good Greek restaurant! read more

Great place one of my favorite places to get a authentic gyro! They make great cheese steaks too!

Opa Opa is a great addition to the area. It's fast, the food is very good (we tried the gyro sandwich with fries and the gyro platter with salad. The gyros were both very tasty. I liked the freshly sliced tomato but the pitas were a bit hard in places. The fries are really good. My son also tried the rice pudding which he thought was pretty good. All in all it's average for a similar place in Philly but I suspect it's much better than other places in Wilmington. read more

I get the big Greek chicken salad with a pita bread. Good and super filling. It is big and actually difficult for me to finish. I do wish it had more olives, I usually only get 4 or 5 in the whole thing. The red wine vinegar and olive oil dressing is great and so is the feta. Sometimes the chicken is a little too dry. The chicken souvlaki gyro with fries is also really good and a better deal price wise if you want something heavier. And this place has cheesesteaks if that's more your style which is unfortunately the most dominant smell when you enter the restaurant. I think the hours change depending on the time of year but they're the type of place that is ready to be out the door at night. Arrived one night a half hour before the expected close time and they heavily suggested we take our order to go, because they "close in 9 minutes". Just get there earlier I guess. read more

The food is descent, but service is pretty bad. Never having visited this place before and looking at the menu on the wall, there is no explanation for what each order comes with. I asked the cashier what the gyro platter comes with (i.e. salad, pickles, how many pitas, are there side dishes? there are so many possibilities). She gave me such an attitude about such a simple question, as if I'm some idiot for not knowing. She finally answered that it comes with a salad. not cool. read more

Opa Opa - Gyro - Greek Near Me - Wilmington, Delaware

Customer service makes e v e r y experience better! Let's call her Opa, for review purposes. Opa seemed annoyed by us entirely. Her look of disgust and one word answers for this first timer screamed unwelcoming to say the least. I had the tzatkiki dip, and the dolmades (stuffed grape leaves.). Had to pay another $1 for pita so I could eat my dip with something other than a spoon, unnecessary charge. The dip was delicious, mild in flavor, and had a solid amount of cucumbers. The dolmades were unimpressive. I have a high standard because these are my fav of the Greek cuisine, but the rice mix was almost hard and lacked flavor. I actually took the leaves off entirely, leaving my plate with a rice party. My gf enjoyed her Greek salad which had the most ripe tomatoes I've seen in late November! I love the cleanliness of the place and the blue, blue and blue decor. read more

My husband and I used to get a large Greek salad to share almost every Saturday last spring/summer. Delicious and one salad was enough for both of us. We were hoping to renew that tradition this year, but now I have my doubts. When I went to pick up the salad, the cashier had her face mask pulled down - not covering her nose. She then pulled it down further to talk to me. I was taken aback, which she picked up on & then she seemed to have a bit of an attitude. I'm going to think twice before going to Opa Opa again. I like to support local businesses, but I can go elsewhere. Not wearing a mask or wearing one incorrectly can endanger customers and fellow employees. Disheartening to see. And didn't do much for my appetite. read more

This place never disappoints. Great portions, fresh food, fast and friendly service makes this an easy choice. Oh don't have to question what's good on the menu, just get what you're craving. I'll be back for sure to try more of the menu. read more

The Food at opah opah is delicious The food is fresh tasting, especially it smell sensational it had the whole car lit up made me even more hungry I couldn't wait to get home to get to chicken cheesesteak. This chicken cheesesteak is the best chicken cheesesteak that I have it in any restaurant in Wilmington Delaware. I will continue to go back here to get my chicken cheesesteak from now on on. Great restaurant it looks clean. Customer Sevice is exceptionally nice. read more

I work in Delaware. I've been a Greek food fan for a while. I'm so glad I found this one that delivers to downtown Wilmington. Their food is delicious. I have had a couple of of gyros and their grape leaves are delectable. I totally recommend them for a very good Greek food experience. read more

I love this place, quick and consistent greek cusine.... will always want to go here when im in the area!!!

Amazing gyros and on wednesdays, they got specials where you get a gyro platter for 6 bucks which is a steal I ordered the gyro and it came with fried, also got the calamari and everything tasted good. Got plenty of seating, located in the heart of trolley square of Wilmington area read more

I noticed signs for Opa Opa a while ago but didn't realize that they had opened for business until I saw reviews on Yelp. On first look, I'm impressed. The place is bright and clean, decorated in a Greek blue-and-white motif. Behind the counter, the staff was busy preparing various dishes for customers. I ordered the bifteki pita and like the place itself, the food was fresh and simple. Not overly drenched in sauce. A delight for lunch. The downsides to this place are common to all eateries in Trolley Square. They only have three tables inside. There is some outside seating but it's not really great unless the weather is good. Also, parking in this strip mall can be a problem during the lunch rush. So I think it may be a good idea to call ahead and get the food for takeout instead. read more

Opa Opa - Big Greek Style Bifteki Pita - Greek Near Me - Wilmington, Delaware

5 stars for fries, 4 stars for gyros, 1 for service. The food is good but I would probably only get delivery from here in the future.

Decided to give this place a try on my first visit to Trolley Square! I ordered a vegetarian gyro which came for fries. WOW, the gyro def hit the spot and fries were nice a crispy. I would 100% stop by this place again. It was also quite busy amidst COVID season during lunch time. I highly recommend! read more

I honestly wish I could give this place NEGATIVE stars.....it was the absolute worst food that I have eaten as far as I can remember. The food was dry, no taste whatsoever, & I threw half of it into the garbage. I would never go back to this place and I am really puzzled how they stay in business. I wish I could have confronted them on how they have the nerve to serve what they did to myself & friend. read more

The food is great and it's quick. The gyro is great. These fries are probably my favorite in Wilmington

We ordered gyros and ended up with platters, which are a gyro and a Greek salad. The lamb gyro came out better than the chicken because it was more juicy. The chicken was a little dry. That said, it was well-seasoned and filling. If you just want a gyro, you need to ask for just a gyro. The Greek salads were excellent with milder than usual feta cheese. The meals were a little pricier than a lot of gyro meals, but that might be due to the location in Trolley Square which has a higher overhead than some other areas. We didn't order dessert, but they had the usual sweets like rice pudding and baklava, which I imagine would be satisfying. When you go is also important because there are a lot of bars and restaurants in the area so evenings are going to be crowded. If you live within walking distance, that's not a problem. If you are driving in, you might have trouble parking. We probably will opt for other Greek restaurants for the reasons I stated above. read more

Ordered from here twice recently. Both times they got my order incorrect. Seems like the staff just don't know how to listen anymore.

All of the 5 star reviews leave me scratching my head... I ordered the gyro platter for take out. By the time I made it home I was too far away to go back. Why would I want to take it back you ask? THEY DIDN'T PUT TSATZIKI SAUCE ON IT. There was also a lack of vegetables too. And to add insult to injury, the meat itself reminded me of some of those dive Greek diners! My girlfriend got the Opa Opa salad. She had a lack of lettuce and mostly feta cheese. We are going to save the cheese for tomorrow's omlette. The spinakopia was bland also. Even the baklava was nothing to write home about. This place might, might be good by Wilmington standards, but comparing it to peers in other places it is awful and overpriced too! read more

I could eat here everyday. The food is so fresh it tastes like it's blessed! I love, love, love the tahini sauce that comes with the falafel. Chef's kiss! So happy to have you in Pike Creek. read more

Absolutely delicious and I am such a fan of their deal on Tuesdays! On top of that, great service!

Always a delight! Food is always top notch You can not go wrong with their gyros and the greek salad is out of this world! Highly recommend

Best Gyro and Greek salads!!! This restaurant is always sparkling clean and everything we ordered over the years was outstanding. The Gyros are packed with meat. read more

Half-Greek here who grew up on this food. This place is the real deal for fast food and some home-cooked traditional dishes. It's hard to find good pastitsio (baked macaroni and ground beef) outside your grandmother's house but they have it here. The salads are fresh and well made. (Note that the authentic Greek salad--no lettuce--is called horiatiki on the menu. If you want lettuce order a "Greek salad.") The desserts--baklava, rice pudding--are fantastic. I can't speak for the non-Greek items but everyone there seems to care about what they do. And nice people too! read more
