I came in(1st time) and ordered the jerk chicken salad with ranch/caesar all they had. The young lady that called out my order #12 asked did I pay for 2 dressings. I told her I didn't know...turns out only 1 dressing with salad and that's fine. I told her give me what I paid for... The salad looked amazing but the cardboard container is a mess. The salad had so much chicken you could barely enjoy the salad. I ate as much of the chicken I could and most of the salad but really I didn't taste anything fresh!! I had horrible customer service particularly by this man. I'm not sure of what his role is, worker, manager, owner and I don't care. I was at Maywood Festival Labor Day weekend. Ooh Wee had a stand there. With no clear direction on which line was serving what, I apparently picked the wrong one. This man spoke down to me like I was a child. Unfortunately I had to step out of my normal professional role and say things I wouldn't normally say to a brother. Regardless, I must've hurt his feelings. Don't go there! went to the new location on 85th and Cottage, hostess was friendly and accommodating. Once seated it took our waitress at least 10-15 mins to acknowledge us, and that was only after asking the person cleaning the tables. We when placed our order she said "did they tell you all orders will take apprx 45-60 mins?" NO, no one has said anything to us!!! Luckily the food came timely and was very very tasty but I never received the soda I ordered. The atmosphere was nice, food was good, service was subpar. When they opened up this location, I knew that I would finally be able to try this restaurant. I went on a Sunday, and It was kind of busy but not anything like the original location. They do have a few tables for you to have a seat and eat at, but majority is take out. I ordered a Pot Roast Cupcake and the Chicken Tips with Macaroni & Cheese and Dressing. The Pot Roast Cupcake was amazing and I would get it over and over again. The Chicken Tips were very salty. Macaroni & Cheese was good but could use a little salt and the Dressing was good. Overall, I would be back to try something different and to get me another Pot Roast Cupcake. The Pricing was average and the customer service was good. read more

I ordered a baked chicken dinner an up charge was placed on my order for white meat which wasn't disclosed when I ordered them for $19.33 there was only a wing and breast that was cold along with the yams also cold and some were crunchy in the middle so not fully cooked. Here's the deal, you place your order when you walk in and then you wait. We secured a table to dine in, picked up our food when our name was called and we dined in. I ordered from the one on 83rd but it came from the one western. The mac and cheese and yams were good. Pot roast and grits were tasty. They need to ease up on the salt. On May 30th I purchased a Chicken Philly Steak Sandwich from OooH Wee It Is on 79th and Western in Chicago and the chicken was old and dry When I got home late that day and noticed the old dry chicken I called them and was advised to bring the sandwich back I took the sandwich back and the young lady asked me how could she help me I told her the chicken was old and dry and I wanted a refund she replied ...OLD? I said yes OLD and I spelled it out for her O L D she snapped on me and said you ain't gotta spell old you act like im special or something you act like I don't know what you're talking about.., but that was not the reason I spelled the word out i just spelled it out but not to offend her...anyway she wanted to know who I spoke with when I called because she was the manager and she allegedly knew nothing about a phone call to bring the sandwich back. My husband who was with me asked her for her name she told him she was not talking to him and never gave us her name. She was very rude and unprofessional to us for no reason ..Ive tried calling back 3 times to speak to someone over her but to no avail and I was told each time no managers were available and no info for the owner. I've never had a problem there as we visit there quite often but on May 31st at 5:56p the treatment we received from BROOKLYN (that's the name that printed out on our refund receipt) I assume thats her name after numerous failed requests for her name. The treatment we received was totally unacceptable and appalling and we will NEVER visit again. Brooklyn obviously needs training in Customer Service !!! This is the 1st time I had the salmon egg rolls they are delicious. They have salmon, spinach and Alfredo sauce. Yum. I highly recommend them . The yams were good not great. They got my order wrong. I ordered $30 worth of food and the order they got wrong costed $16-17 after tax. They charged me for a $16 item and gave me a $6 item instead. ( ordered salmon rolls and they gave me soul rolls ) I waited 40 minutes for it to cook the first time around. After noticing our food was wrong, 20 minutes out, we called and they told me they can't make it till they can prove it's wrong. Not only that, it was 30 minutes before they close and they already turned off the fryer. After driving 20 minutes back, we show them and they said they will remake it. Cool. We ask if we can keep the food for the inconvenience, they said we can get a small sweet tea. $3 sweet tea to a 40 minute drive delay and 40 minute wait time AND another 10 minutes to recook it. Unprofessional service where half the time theres no correct information coming from the front where they take the calls/orders. I tried applying here in September for employment and was told by the manager they'll be in contact after taking down my name and phone number. Its now December,I called in to see whats going to happen with my hiring process, I get told to come in for an interview a week later, just to get my name and phone number written down AGAIN and no more information than that. I understand as people we can get busy and have other things on our minds but the unprofessionalism is bad. This the black community, and "ooh wee it is" left a bad taste in my mouth with the manager/supervisor attitudes alone. The food was excellent! It is not the place you go to when you are on a diet. The only thing that is preventing it from getting 5 stars is the first thing I noticed was that it was DIRTY! My friend and I noticed it...napkins and debris on the floor, large amounts of food and crumbs under the table, and tables still with crumbs, grease and smudges on it. We were going to get our food to go but changed our minds. We asked an employee to wipe the table. Unlike most normal people, who wipe the food from the table, into our hands, to throw away, this employee did not. We looked in shock as large fried chicken crumbs were wiped off the table just to be hurled on the seats that we were to use, and onto the floor, to be joined by all the other food debris under the table. She already looked as if she had an attitude, so I was too afraid to ask her to now go behind her work and wipe the seats and sweep under the table. A mouse could've eaten quite well from the floor, with never entering the kitchen. The employees behind the counter were nice. My food tasted great, but I will never go to that location again. It wasn't clean enough. I understand it gets busy but the employee putting more food on the floor and seats, was too much! And they need to update their sites with which locations are open and which are closed for repairs. No one has gas to waste. Do better. read more
