Easy parking. Loved the server. Plenty of space. Standard prices. The food had good portion sizes, but was just ok. Perhaps I needed to order their staples, like fried chicken and macaroni and cheese. I heard those were especially good. I ordered the oxtails, which were just OK. Not sure I would necessarily return, but there was nothing particularly problematic. read more

I came in(1st time) and ordered the jerk chicken salad with ranch/caesar all they had. The young lady that called out my order #12 asked did I pay for 2 dressings. I told her I didn't know...turns out only 1 dressing with salad and that's fine. I told her give me what I paid for... The salad looked amazing but the cardboard container is a mess. The salad had so much chicken you could barely enjoy the salad. I ate as much of the chicken I could and most of the salad but really I didn't taste anything fresh!! Just a salad full of produce that needed to be used up and the chicken no real jerk flavors just spicy! Again try yourself... see pictures read more

Poor customer service waiting to order and a regular customer came in and I was completely ignored. So I left and went somewhere else.

This was my first time here on 2/27/26....Had the greens, mac, and catfish. The greens were spoiled. They had a weird smell to them. Unfortunately I will not be back to support. read more

Didn't get this one for me but got it for the lady and I can guarantee she enjoyed it. It fit the bill

I had horrible customer service particularly by this man. I'm not sure of what his role is, worker, manager, owner and I don't care. I was at Maywood Festival Labor Day weekend. Ooh Wee had a stand there. With no clear direction on which line was serving what, I apparently picked the wrong one. This man spoke down to me like I was a child. Unfortunately I had to step out of my normal professional role and say things I wouldn't normally say to a brother. Regardless, I must've hurt his feelings. Don't go there! The customer service needs a LOT of improvement read more

Omg y'all. This food is absolutely amazing. I was tempted to get the Cajun Fried Fish but the hood in me had to get those Hennesy wings! EVERYTHING was fresh, hot, seasoned well, and definitely made with soulfulness. .. I really should've ordered two meals because I ate that food so fast! I don't eat from everywhere but BAYBEE! They are getting my money again. So glad I stopped in. OOooo Weee It was so good The customer service was pleasant, the atmosphere was calm and not too crowded. I wouldn't mind eating in there. Also! They have a Cereal Bar! I don't eat cereal but I was impressed with the whole concept of food here. read more

went to the new location on 85th and Cottage, hostess was friendly and accommodating. Once seated it took our waitress at least 10-15 mins to acknowledge us, and that was only after asking the person cleaning the tables. We when placed our order she said "did they tell you all orders will take apprx 45-60 mins?" NO, no one has said anything to us!!! Luckily the food came timely and was very very tasty but I never received the soda I ordered. The atmosphere was nice, food was good, service was subpar. I would recommend and try again, hopefully the service will be better read more

The food is decent ..I didn't like the fried fish because it didn't have much seasoning or a taste to it or maybe just the breading on it was not good. I love the jerk chicken salad and they give you a lot of salad too. You definitely get your moneys worth. The tea and lemonade are good but it is very very sweet like it has a lot of sugar in it. read more

Catfish dinner with Mac and cheese and yams. This meal never fails me, always good and HOT!!! Fish was well seasoned and fresh, Mac and cheese had flavor just like home and the sweet potatoes nice and sweet but not too sweet. Young lady that took my order was pleasant. Doors were open so it was hot inside and flies were flying in and out. Overall a decent place to get some home cooking read more

When they opened up this location, I knew that I would finally be able to try this restaurant. I went on a Sunday, and It was kind of busy but not anything like the original location. They do have a few tables for you to have a seat and eat at, but majority is take out. I ordered a Pot Roast Cupcake and the Chicken Tips with Macaroni & Cheese and Dressing. The Pot Roast Cupcake was amazing and I would get it over and over again. The Chicken Tips were very salty. Macaroni & Cheese was good but could use a little salt and the Dressing was good. Overall, I would be back to try something different and to get me another Pot Roast Cupcake. The Pricing was average and the customer service was good. read more

Good southern food at a reasonable price. Stopped in this location one day after work and was surprised to see the sitting areas is basically self service. There are no waiters to serve you. Here's the deal, you place your order when you walk in and then you wait. We secured a table to dine in, picked up our food when our name was called and we dined in. The portion size was good, the taste is superb so I will return but probably wouldn't dine in. read more

The food was very salty. The pot roast was tender but salty. My mom ordered baked chicken and yams with greens she didn't like the greens at all. I ordered from the one on 83rd but it came from the one western. The mac and cheese and yams were good. Pot roast and grits were tasty. They need to ease up on the salt. I don't need high blood pressure and not getting ready to start now. I have to 3 different restaurant I get a different experience from them all. The yams and mac and cheese is always on point. I wll try the pot roast again but in a different store. read more

This location is ALWAYS out of something. And since they don't do call in orders, you wouldn't know this information until you arrive and your time has already been wasted. Customer service is TERRIBLE. The women at the register today on 11-5 literally walked away as I was speaking. Mind you I'm a service worker myself so I'm always sure to be respectful, because that's how I would want one to treat me-- but after today I wont be back. read more

I ordered a baked chicken dinner an up charge was placed on my order for white meat which wasn't disclosed when I ordered them for $19.33 there was only a wing and breast that was cold along with the yams also cold and some were crunchy in the middle so not fully cooked. The only thing that was hot were the greens. I called to voice my complaint only to be told thanks for letting them know. I will never patron this establishment again. read more

Parking absolutely sucks! But once you are inside the restaurant, your mind can relax. Small, clean space with a variety of southern accents. The aromas really get you going; you would like to order a little bit of everything because it smells so good. Instead decide to focus on the dinners. Which were really good choices. By the way, portion sizes are enough to have for lunch the following day. During your wait, please listen out for your names. The servers are not that loud, and if it's crowded it will be a bit loud inside. Overall, I would return. read more

Listen Up Yall!!! On May 30th I purchased a Chicken Philly Steak Sandwich from OooH Wee It Is on 79th and Western in Chicago and the chicken was old and dry When I got home late that day and noticed the old dry chicken I called them and was advised to bring the sandwich back I took the sandwich back and the young lady asked me how could she help me I told her the chicken was old and dry and I wanted a refund she replied ...OLD? I said yes OLD and I spelled it out for her O L D she snapped on me and said you ain't gotta spell old you act like im special or something you act like I don't know what you're talking about.., but that was not the reason I spelled the word out i just spelled it out but not to offend her...anyway she wanted to know who I spoke with when I called because she was the manager and she allegedly knew nothing about a phone call to bring the sandwich back. My husband who was with me asked her for her name she told him she was not talking to him and never gave us her name. She was very rude and unprofessional to us for no reason ..Ive tried calling back 3 times to speak to someone over her but to no avail and I was told each time no managers were available and no info for the owner. I've never had a problem there as we visit there quite often but on May 31st at 5:56p the treatment we received from BROOKLYN (that's the name that printed out on our refund receipt) I assume thats her name after numerous failed requests for her name. The treatment we received was totally unacceptable and appalling and we will NEVER visit again. Brooklyn obviously needs training in Customer Service !!! If the manager over Brooklyn or the owner over the franchise reads this complaint please respond and the the customers beware!!!! This complaint is also gonna be on YELP! read more

1star is just because the food was hot! I ordered online, waited 30 min before going up to restaurant for them to tell me "we don't have any salmon I thought I cancelled your order" as I'm standing there they had a delivery of food so she ask if I wanted to wait and I agreed. Sit in my car for another 30 mins, came back in no one acknowledged me so I ask if my order still wasn't ready. 10 mins later I get my food. It's hot but not satisfying at all. Only reason I even came here is bevause food on the run wasn't open until 2. I made my order at 12:42 Didn't get my food until after 2pm so I should've just waited! On top of that I ordered greens with turkey meat. THERES NO MEAT IN THE GREENS! Macaroni mediocre asf and the salmon is dry. Customer service horrible. I can see why the other restaurant closed down on 83rd. read more

HOW in the world do these folks have a restaurant, let alone 6???? Who eating this mess??? So overrated & not GOOD Soul Food at all!!! Daughter had Jerk Chicken Tip for $17(sliced pieces of dried out chicken breast) w/ again 2 mediocre sides & a order of fried green tomatoes that had they not been saturated in grease & so soft that they fell apart while trying to pick one up, might've been good. They got my order wrong. I ordered $30 worth of food and the order they got wrong costed $16-17 after tax. They charged me for a $16 item and gave me a $6 item instead. ( ordered salmon rolls and they gave me soul rolls ) I waited 40 minutes for it to cook the first time around. After noticing our food was wrong, 20 minutes out, we called and they told me they can't make it till they can prove it's wrong. Not only that, it was 30 minutes before they close and they already turned off the fryer. After driving 20 minutes back, we show them and they said they will remake it. Cool. We ask if we can keep the food for the inconvenience, they said we can get a small sweet tea. $3 sweet tea to a 40 minute drive delay and 40 minute wait time AND another 10 minutes to recook it. Insane. I was so excited to try this restaurant, but honestly I'm so turned off. read more

Unprofessional service where half the time theres no correct information coming from the front where they take the calls/orders. I tried applying here in September for employment and was told by the manager they'll be in contact after taking down my name and phone number. Its now December,I called in to see whats going to happen with my hiring process, I get told to come in for an interview a week later, just to get my name and phone number written down AGAIN and no more information than that. I understand as people we can get busy and have other things on our minds but the unprofessionalism is bad. This the black community, and "ooh wee it is" left a bad taste in my mouth with the manager/supervisor attitudes alone. Its sad to see the businesses here in our community treat they own people with no respect. The owner must be proud to be a sore in this community they should move out if it. read more
