I was in the neighborhood and ordered their lunch specials. I ordered the salmon teriyaki with miso soup and maki special (3 salmon avocado roll) with salad. Food was fresh and delicious. I will definitely come back and order again.

Food is so good ! Service is excellent! Ambiance is so comfortable, and inviting. Ive been here many times and always have had the best experience all around. Highly recommend it .

We live right near this place and everytime we walk by there are always people inside so we decided we finally had to try it. Honestly, it was good -- on par with all the other sushi places in a 3 block radius -- but nothing exceptional. The best thing is probably their drink deals ($4 for beer in NYC unheard of!) and the decently priced regular sushi rolls.

Fresh sushi and delicious entrees, meticulously crafted, got the lobster tempura roll And spicy mango shrimp roll which were both top tier, the crispy shrimp entree was great but needed some spice. Service was awful, very rushed and nit the kindest waiter. Intimate setting and fairly priced, the mango margarita was terrible tasted like cough syrup, one of the tastiest miso soups though!

Lunch specials here are great. Also has the specials on weekends. Always get the 2 roll or 3 roll combo for sushi for under $15 which comes with salad or miso soup. Also lots of non sushi options on the lunch menu and overall menu.

Stumbled upon this place after leaving the Puerto Rican day parade. Came here with my daughter. It's a cozy cute little spot. Pretty intimate. They have a nice bar , waterfountain and an area where you can see them make the sushi. The server immediate attended to us as we walked in. There was no wait. Now to the food- this was some of the best miso soup I've ever had in my life. My daughter agreed and she's a picky eater! The salad was pretty good. It came with a dressing that was a ginger citrus dressing. I'm not sure why but it tasted like mango to me. The sushi was really good. Especially the eel avacado. We ended up ordering another roll. I would recommend this place to any sushi lovers or if you're in the area. I would come back again if I'm ever nearby.

Super sweet staff, delicious fish (uni, toro, ikura, yellowtail) and healthy portions for a great price. This is a go to neighborhood spot, and we don't even live nearby. Stroooong cocktails.

    Egg shell in Thai noddles.

We had lunch here. Not very crowded. One of us ordered Thai noddles. Found egg shell in there. Service was not good at all. It seems happened more often, they just don't care if you are not happy eating there. Sushi was not great either.

Stopped in for a solo lunch date and I'm so excited to have found this place! Lovely atmosphere, very elegant decor with beautiful, original plates! And most important of all - FRESH FISH!! Wonderful sushi lunch deal, $11.99 for 2 rolls and choice of a salad or soup. ($14.99 for 3!) Service was quick and so friendly. I'm not in this area too often but I will go out of my way to come back soon again :)

Try: Lunch 3 Rolls Special! Why: Good lunch deal - 3 rolls for $15. I got the Salmon Avocado, Eel Avocado, and Yellowtail Scallion rolls. I thought the fish was fresh and appreciated large pieces of avocado. I also got the Ooki Roll, which had spicy tuna, king crab, eel, and avocado rolled in sesame soy seaweed and topped with eel sauce. Ooki Roll we're large pieces. Notes: I ordered delivery and it came fairly quickly before projected time.

Ooki sashimi special, recommend this dish! Much better than the Sashimi dinner. There are better pieces in this dish

Update: Ooki now offers a Free dinner meal and cake with mochi ON your birthday! Caveat is you have to go ON the day of your birthday! What a nice treat to have this in the neighborhood! We went with a large group on a Sunday evening, and the restaurant was full. Ooki is one of our go-to sushi spots when we are craving some fresh fish! And with a complimentary birthday meal, this had to be our spot! As always, fish is uber fresh and service is excellent! This always hits the spot!

The atmosphere here was a bit more lively and crowded compared to the more relaxed vibe of the UWS spot. I enjoyed my meal even more this time around. I started with the beet salad, which was delicious and offered great value given the generous portion size. it featured sliced beets, arugula, goat cheese, and walnuts. I also had my eye on the hijiki soybean salad--which is a bit smaller and reportedly homemade--so I may try that next time, along with the warm mushroom salad which looked very tasty. The edamame was standard but served as a nice starter. For my main rolls, I chose the salmon avocado and the yellowtail scallion. Both were very fresh and definitely worth ordering again. The salmon avocado roll had a nice touch of sesame seeds on the rice, while the yellowtail scallion was prepared with the seaweed on the outside. My boyfriend's sushi entree looked excellent, so I am considering that or the sushi-sashimi combo for my next visit. The entrees provide a substantial amount of food, and I especially appreciate that they allow you to choose which roll comes with your meal.

The slices aren't thin, delicate, and melt-in-your-mouth as one usually gets in a sit down; they are extra thick, and I had to really bite down on some of the pieces. The rice was nicely seasoned and was cooked well + portions are also big to match those thiccccc salmon slices. To be honest, I was getting a little nauseated after 5 pieces, haha~ They were definitely delicious but I'd probably just eat 3 or 4 pieces and share with a friend! It was easy to text the number on the website and coordinate a pickup time, and the staff was friendly when I arrived. The restaurant is a little hard to find as the windows are blinded and the sign is a piece of paper on the door.

The katsu was very, very moist on the inside, with a crispy batter that was so light it was almost flavorless. I honestly couldn't really tell the difference between the tenderloin and pork loin. Overall the dish had a very light flavor and I added quite a bit of sauce and wasabi. Some of the less memorable dishes were the eggplant agebitashi and truffle rice. The eggplant agebitashi tasted like a cross between an eggplant parm and a bolognese. The truffle rice had a very strong truffle flavor that ended up overpowering everything else in the dish. I thought the slices of raw button mushrooms were a little strange. I really enjoyed the sabazushi. The pieces of mackerel were thick and carried a lot of that characteristic mackerel oily flavor, but the oiliness was cut by enough vinegar to balance everything out. The niku udon was also a surprise hit. The noodles were wide, flat, super slurpy, and the broth carried a deep umami flavor. Overall, I had a pretty solid experience here.
