I am a chronic, anxious nail biter, and have been since I can remember. For the past few weeks, I haven't chewed at my nails. I was driven to keep this up by getting a manicure, to help my nails look much better than their chewed up, uneven ends. This wasn't my first manicure - but it was the first one using my real nails instead of acrylics. My technician (I forgot to ask her name since I was so nervous) was very kind. She joked that these were her nails now, and I'm not allowed to mess them up. She continued to check with me to see if it was okay and that I liked what she was doing throughout the whole process. I was offered water, they had hot towels to dry your hands with after washing, it was extremely clean and had beautiful decorations. Their stations all have guards due to covid, and everyone is required to wear masks. It was great. I was also allowed to pay before my nails were painted so I didn't mess them up immediately after getting them done. I loved this place, so much. My nails look amazing and I'm honestly shocked that they look so good! My nails have never looked better and I'm so excited about them. please do not come here. I'm really disappointed with my experience here. My mom and I paid $245 to get our nails and toes done, and the quality did not match the price at all. My acrylics were plain (no gel top coat or design), and my mom got acrylic with red gel, but both of our nails came out very bulky and poorly shaped. They honestly look rushed and not professionally done. On top of that, the staff were rude to us throughout the appointment, which made the experience uncomfortable. Yesterday I went to get my nails done. A simple acrylic with a light pink and tips and an almond shape. Yesterday I left spending over $70 with bubbles in my nails, no nail is the same shape, some are shorter than the others, some are pointy while the other ones are round. Even the cleanliness was awful. Using already used nail files, not washing hands before clients, no gloves. It was awful. My friend also decided to get her nails done, she asked for a simple pink dip with a coffin shape. The lady gave her tan for her GRADUATION nails. I am so completely disappointed in my service here for a few reasons. 1) my nail tech was filing the side of my nails at an angle that was scratching the skin off of my fingers 2) the tech took out a gel UV machine when I didn't ask for gel- she took regular polish off my fingers, idk why she assumed this more expensive service 3) my nails are filed completely lopsided, all of them 4) I got a French manicure and it looks horrible. I have attached photos to let them speak for themselves. About 2/3 of the way through the manicure I got that feeling you get in the pit of your stomach where you just know you're going to dislike your nails. Would not recommend. I go and they take their time, they're friendly, and ask a lot of questions about the service I want and then I go another time and it's rushed, my nails don't look good, and they aren't friendly. They messed up my nails very badly (the nail tech rushed through my appointment), she made me bleed on two different fingers, and I sent an email explaining what happened. I was understanding and they told me to come back in to redo them- this was last month before Thanksgiving. I've been coming here for a year and having dip nails for 5 years. Usually the work is good. This time, 2 days after dip nails, 2 broke and they started lifting. One nail broke down to the quick and was bleeding. I came in an they said they would fix. She used the drill and hit the bare skin -ouch! She then put my finger nail in acetone to soak and you can imagine how that hurt. She rolled her eyes and said something loudly in Vietnamese. Finally repaired, but both nails looked thick and not usual quality. She then charged me $5! And said to come back and they would redo them. If I could give negative stars, I would. Dropped in to this establishment for a pedicure during a lunch break from work. I was quickly seated and a very nice woman whom could not communicate in English greeted me. I told her I wanted a pedicure that would remove all the summer scuff off my feet and white polish. I had no interest in the foot and lower leg massage, I just wanted smooth and soft feet. She struggled to find an appropriate temperature with the water. It went from ice cold to smoldering hot in a nano second and when I felt the very hot water, I let put a huge whimper that drew the attention of others around me. She did a nice job with clipping and cleaning the nail beds but failed miserably in cleaning the bottom of my feet. At the end, I told her they weren't what I asked or expected and she offered no resolution but to pay more for additional services. I was already paying $52 for the pedicure. I asked if I could speak with a manager and no one was interested in being of assistance . A man just shook his head and spoke in his native language to the other attendants. I am always willing to pay for good service and be overly generous when the quality is high and professional. This place was a complete disappointment. Bad pedicure and almost got burned from their inability to control water temperature in foot bowl. Bad interpersonal skills and absolutely no customer service. Really wanted to like this place because its in a convenient location. Made appointments for myself and a friend and my friend had to wait 20 minutes for someone to take care of her. My nail tech was prompt, but became distracted while using the sanding block on my toes and scraped my skin! Later in the pedicure she sprayed my toes with something that burned that spot and it really hurt. At another point as she was working on my left foot she laid her arm over the top of my right foot and leaned on it! I have been coming to this salon for 6/7 years now seeing the same girl and so does my mother. I have never had a bad experience here. Always have been treated with respect and the salon is very clean. They're slightly more pricier than the typical salon but the service is worth it! I have done different types of nails and designs and they all turn out wonderful with no complaints. I personally love the hand massages at the end of my session. Lol! When I get my nails done I'm not expecting to enter a daycare center and need more of a spa feel. It's not the fault of the owner and they even have a sign about bringing kids in but they need to have it in Spanish as well so everyone is aware. The music isn't relaxing. First experience here was a great experience. 2nd time not so much. I will not be returning. First, the type of color I wanted, a $20 upcharge for cat eye, was refused not once but twice. What? You think I can not afford it? Believe me I can! Then the second color I picked was too light so the tech wanted to put a base color with the lighter glitter on tip. NO problem! I have done that before. The color I chose was a deep purple, I ended up with a magenta color. When I requested no glitter on top because it looked nothing what I wanted, the tech seemed upset. Did I make a complaint while there? No, I already felt that what I wanted was respected and they didn't care if I was happy or not. The service was actually really nice, they got me in quick and were on top of things. But to be honest, after sleeping with my nails for one night, my thumb nail became lumpy. They are usually pretty swamped so I suggest making an appointment in advance. The prices are reasonable and the quality is excellent, it may take one or two trips to find the tech you're most compatible with, but it's worth it.
