My tween took…read morethe beginner sling class, and even though she usually prefers to relax, this is one activity she keeps coming back to. The instructors she had were really encouraging, which made a big difference for my soft-spoken kiddo. I noticed that on days she went to class, she slept better and her overall mood improved. Since a lot of sports and physical activities for kids tend to be competitive, which isn't really her thing, Fly Freak has been a great alternative. If you're looking for a way for your child to move around that also helps with regulation, I definitely recommend giving Fly Freak a try!

There is a strong sense of community community at Fly Freak - students and staff both are so accepting and encouraging. I love how everybody cheers when someone does a trick for the first time! I love chair dance (shout out to Kit!), aerial yoga (all the teachers for this are phenomenal) and Sling (my go to teachers are Clara, Christy and Hayley, but I've never had a instructor I didn't like!). I also love the workshops and special events - self defense classes, guardian and kiddo classes, sound baths and my personal favorite, photo shoots! If you're looking for a new obsession or even just want to try something different, you won't regret going to Fly Freak.

No reviews yet? Crazy!…read more I am a big fan of Green Lotus Yoga! I moved from Seattle in July and had a yoga center that I absolutely adored. I tried a few different centers here in the Twin Cities and none of them were what I was looking for. Too corporate, too focused on the calorie burning part of yoga, too routine, or just too damn hot! And then Green Lotus opened up. Its yoga as it should be, holistically focused, welcoming to all bodies and abilities, and the classes are variable. I haven't tried any of their healing services yet, but am very excited to! They have many different class packages and one that includes a massage or other service each month. Overall; great for yoga and I love that there are many other services to try. I will definitely be a long time patron!

Even on their social media? They were really eager to get rid of me off of their website as well. No notice, no notice that even my schedule access would be revoked, there was promise of me returning once I feel better from this medical condition that I had where I couldn't even finish a 60 minute massage, and then come to find out that is no longer viable because they filled up my room and no longer have any need for any of my services anymore. Directly contradicting what was originally textually agreed to. This is severely disappointing. I see the reply from merry Beth to my comment and want to point out there was not an adequate amount of time for me being away. They did not give me 90 days per my contract and decided to fill my room and choose someone else while I was recovering without letting me know they were going to go ahead and do this. If I was unable to fulfill my contract they could have talked to me to see what we can do. And they chose to not do that and not offer me another contract. Thank you for taking the time to read. Again, severely disappointed.

As you walk into the studio you see chairs and a desk on the right then on the left is where the magic happens. You see all types of equipment, mats, and apparatuses. Once you get past the sight of what looks like torture devices and learn the purpose and how they function you become fascinated by the mechanics. Setting up classes was very easy using an app and they were happy to have me come in to meet and try out the equipment and get a feel for it. The scheduling and everything can be done online making it very easy and convenient for the busy person. Natalie the studio owner is very responsive in communication and very easy to work with and I have had a very positive experience so far. I have been doing private lessons with Jessi and she has been fantastic in figuring out what is needed to accomplish my requests to accomplish my strange goals. The staff is very knowledgeable and caring and they show lots of love and pride in what they do. I highly recommend this location.

I used to spend a lot on chiropractors and massage therapists to make my body feel better. Now I have little or no need for them. I'd much rather spend my money on pilates instruction and take an active roll in my own well being. Otherwise I'm just laying on a table and hoping the chiropractor or massage therapist gets that "just right adjustment" or has the "just right touch on my sore muscles." The control of feeling better is back into my hands. Natalie makes it easy and is a very focused, educated, and compassionate instructor.

I paid $94 since my baby was 3 months old and coming only to kids classes. I canceled during the holidays and decided to come back only to find out a much cheaper rate that I could have been paying in the past 9 months. I had no idea! And I looked online as well at their class options. This was not offered as an option. Also, it sucks that you can't put your membership on hold! My baby was sick and we couldn't come for 2-3 weeks but I still had to pay $94 for that month! Come on! The gym seems behind in technology and they should educate their attendees better about the membership options. My baby loves coming to class here. The crawlers yoga is very fun! They have created a community in this studio for women and children, have childcare, and allow you to come and go as you please. They even often classes where you are encouraged to bring your baby and either practice yoga/barre, feed, or even sit and close your eyes. The space is truly yours to do what is calling to you. That part I love, love, love. Now for what I don't love. Unfortunately the atuis a little small and the yoga mats they provide are a little.... worn and torn. But mostly, I have felt a bit intimated going there. Many of the instructors and women practice eastern/holistic practices which I think is absolutely great! I have so much respect for that. But I didn't feel respected for my choice to practice western care- especially when it comes to child birthing. Maybe it was this one instructor- and I am not giving them a fair chance? But I felt daggers for being a suburban, working mom and who had a western childbirth. And that is not welcoming. Also- I wish the studio had mirrors to work on form. I think there are a lot of great concepts here and with minor tweaks can get there!
