Even on their social media? They were really eager to get rid of me off of their website as well. No notice, no notice that even my schedule access would be revoked, there was promise of me returning once I feel better from this medical condition that I had where I couldn't even finish a 60 minute massage, and then come to find out that is no longer viable because they filled up my room and no longer have any need for any of my services anymore. Directly contradicting what was originally textually agreed to. This is severely disappointing. I see the reply from merry Beth to my comment and want to point out there was not an adequate amount of time for me being away. They did not give me 90 days per my contract and decided to fill my room and choose someone else while I was recovering without letting me know they were going to go ahead and do this. If I was unable to fulfill my contract they could have talked to me to see what we can do. And they chose to not do that and not offer me another contract. Thank you for taking the time to read. Again, severely disappointed.

My daughter was only able to go in twice as appointments were difficult to schedule and not readily available. We called several times and finally went directly to the store. We were told the 2 special massage coupons expired and the remaining paid full price for expired 1 year after issue. The women at the front desk was not very welcoming. I had went in to see about Yoga lessons but was completely put off by the service. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Especially good for people new to yoga or with injuries who don't want the pressure of a high intensity fast paced work out. But those who do want a workout can get one if they choose.

The space is cozy and lots of one-on-one attention is given to students. However, I received an email from the studio owner on Wednesday, January 4th, 2012 saying that the Thursday class had been canceled. This was one day's notice. I had just purchased a new package in the middle of December for five additional classes. With Thursday being the only class that worked in my schedule, I was left with no other class options. I called the owner twice and emailed her once requesting a refund and some explanation, but she never contacted me. This morning, I stopped by her studio around 9:00am to see about the refund. She refused to refund my money and said, "schedules change all the time, but we don't do refunds." We argued for about ten minutes before I left. She never said why she had failed to return my calls or email. As I said to her this morning, I think the abrupt canceling of a class and the unwillingness to return phone calls or emails are both unprofessional. So, for now, I am forced to wait until the studio offers another early morning class so that I can use the classes I paid for.

Rachel is a fantastic pilates instructor, and I highly recommend going to her at Flourish for…read moreanyone who wants to gain strength, connect with his or her body, and have a good time. Rachel combines her vast knowledge of pilates, dance, biomechanics, yoga, and so on, with a with a really great teaching style. She's approachable, great when you have questions, and knows many different ways of describing a position or movement so that everyone can understand it. Rachel can teach any level of pilates. If you go there and you know nothing about pilates and take a beginning class, you'll learn a lot, and you'll feel the positive changes in your body after a week or two. I started taking pilates from Rachel two summers ago during a beginning mat class. Because I didn't grow up doing dance (or yoga or pilates), I thought doing pilates would be intimidating and that I would get lost -- but it was perfect. I learned a lot, and so did the others in the class. But Flourish isn't just great for beginners; there are people at all different levels who go to Rachel's classes, and she knows just how hard to push people so that we all really get something out of it. For every movement or position, Rachel knows modifications for people with injuries or sensitivities, or for people who want more of a challenge. Not only does she know these things, but she offers information and materials right in the moment, during class, so that everyone feels comfortable whether or not they need a modification or want a more difficult exercise. In this way, Rachel accommodates multiple levels of strength, practice, and even rehabilitation in her classes. Even with the very different levels of people within one class, Rachel is really good at helping everyone get the most they can out of each exercise/movement. She remembers who has what injuries, and is great at coaching people so that each person meets his or her individual needs. Recently, Rachel and Dani, another wonderful trainer, held a highly-attended Winter Tune-Up class. Instead of one hour, we met for an hour and a half, and we went through the principles, breathing, and a lot of exercises, according to which questions and issues everyone had. It was a great help to get to review these things and practice them with two trainers present (that was good for such a large class, normally the classes are smaller and you still get one-on-one attention when just one trainer is there). Last but not least, there are both mat and Reformer options for pilates at Flourish. I've never taken a Reformer class, so I can't speak to that experience directly, but from what I've seen, the classes are always full. There are also yoga, TRX, and bodywork classes, which I hear are wonderful (I can't speak to these directly either).

I've worked with 3 different instructors and they are all just as accommodating. Can't say enough good about this studio. I've been taking classes for 4+ years. Best decision I've ever made. I had back surgery for a herniated disc 12 years ago. I've done PT countless times since. And then I started pilates. My back will never be perfect but this is the best it's been since before surgery. Rachel, and all instructors, address everyone's needs/limitations. And then covid. Rachel quickly figured out how to instruct via zoom. I don't think we've missed a week. I highly recommend this studio!
