The old rafters and charm put your mind at ease while you practice an intimate session of yoga. Sunday night yoga sessions are the best - one full hour of yoga with a good amount of Savasana at the end that will get ready for fun happy hour/socializing with many wonderful yogis in the family country-modern kitchen. I tried a few different centers here in the Twin Cities and none of them were what I was looking for. Too corporate, too focused on the calorie burning part of yoga, too routine, or just too damn hot! And then Green Lotus opened up. Its yoga as it should be, holistically focused, welcoming to all bodies and abilities, and the classes are variable. I haven't tried any of their healing services yet, but am very excited to! They have many different class packages and one that includes a massage or other service each month. Overall; great for yoga and I love that there are many other services to try. I will definitely be a long time patron!

No notice, no notice that even my schedule access would be revoked, there was promise of me returning once I feel better from this medical condition that I had where I couldn't even finish a 60 minute massage, and then come to find out that is no longer viable because they filled up my room and no longer have any need for any of my services anymore. Directly contradicting what was originally textually agreed to. This is severely disappointing. I see the reply from merry Beth to my comment and want to point out there was not an adequate amount of time for me being away. They did not give me 90 days per my contract and decided to fill my room and choose someone else while I was recovering without letting me know they were going to go ahead and do this. If I was unable to fulfill my contract they could have talked to me to see what we can do. And they chose to not do that and not offer me another contract. Thank you for taking the time to read. I am a ClassPass member and I saw Northern Yoga Center was both close and on ClassPass. The first class I went to was lead by JQ, the studio owner. I instantly knew I had found my yoga-home in Lowertown. JQ, Kristy, Adam, and Alexandra all have a sharp and clinical focus on big and small body movements and will use anatomical terms which really helps to visualize and feel the proper alignment in each pose. There is a huge focus on proper alignment and excellent build-up to full poses. The space itself is lovely, huge windows that let in great light, there's always music, and often the option for essential oil to be placed on you in Shavasana. Not to mention the frequent and unique workshops offered. This is a special space and I wish nothing but prosperity for JQ and each of the instructors. I'm stronger and more aware of my body in space. Exercises are challenging with stretches built in. All the teachers are great, but I often find myself in classes taught by Heather, Sophie, and Samantha. Core is a small, very welcoming studio and can accomodate levels of practice from beginners to more advanced practice. I have been helped immeasurably to recover from more than one surgery. The instructors she had were really encouraging, which made a big difference for my soft-spoken kiddo. I noticed that on days she went to class, she slept better and her overall mood improved. Since a lot of sports and physical activities for kids tend to be competitive, which isn't really her thing, Fly Freak has been a great alternative. If you're looking for a way for your child to move around that also helps with regulation, I definitely recommend giving Fly Freak a try!

Generally, the staff looks bored, uninterested. There are very few exceptions. But I am grateful for how convenient it is to find a Planet Fitness around the country.
