Alright now, this place is a gem!…read more I work with someone who raves about this place, and I finally decided to try it. Walking in, the young lady at the register was so sweet and pleasant. I had an online order and arrived a bit early, she politely let me know there would be a little wait, and I did not mind. I would, much rather wait, than walk in twenty minutes early to see my food just sitting there. It is a small space, but one that comes with warmth. What I chose: Mixed Plate Teriyaki Beef - The first bite, YES! The meat was seasoned so well, I was afraid the teriyaki sauce would overtake the flavor; it didn't. Both, the sauce and the seasoning complemented each other very well. The beef was thinly sliced and free of fat. I can't stand enjoying a bite, and out of nowhere, boom, a piece of fat. I'm not a beef person, but I'm so happy I tried something different. Hamburger Steak: I couldn't wait to try this, it's delicious! The patty is plenty and well seasoned; it isn't heavily seasoned, but well seasoned. It was juicy and not dried out, which sometimes happens. The gravy was perfect, and went perfectly with the meat patty. Next time, I will ask for more gravy and onions. I love grilled onions with meat patties. With my order, I asked for steamed veggies, but received rice instead. I don't eat rice often, but this is the one time I was happy with the mishap. I had a small bit with the gravy and patty, delicious!! Sides: Mac Salad and Rice - I didn't order rice; instead, it should have been steamed veggies. As I said above, the rice ended up being a great mishap; it was perfect with my meat patty and gravy. The mac salad, sadly, I didn't like. It wasn't horrible, it just didn't hit the right taste buds. Chocolate Mac Nut Cheesecake: I only tasted a spoonful of this, but it was good. I wouldn't get it again, for me, it was too sweet. They do have another cheesecake, which looks like a plain cheesecake, with a sauce on top. That, I will try. Spam Musubi: There seems to be more rice than what I am used to, so I cut it in half, and it made for the perfect bite. This was more than enough food; I have plenty to take to work for lunch and will have more to enjoy for dinner. I am so happy I visited. I will definitely visit periodically for a hamburger steak, and I am anxious to try their panko shrimp. Add them to your list, it is a must!!

They get a lot of online orders so they were busy with that, but I didn't mind because I was checking out the menu. I got the bento box and it was delicious. A large bed of rice with everything else sat upon it, I was pleasantly full afterwards. I grabbed a guava cake to take home and it barely made it home because the cake was DELICIOUS. I love guava and their confection was perfection. I seriously still think about it and can't wait to come back and try it again. I also got the wings, which were crispy and super favor full. I also got to try the butter and pumpk

A favorite for me, always worth a quick fifteen to twenty minute drive for good food…read more I usually get an order to go, I've been going here since they first opened & they always been consistent with fresh food & ingredients with wonderful service. My base is typically white rice, it's always soft & fluffy, never old. There are a lot of poke options, I'd recommend any of the shoyu, hawaiian, or caviar ones. The others ones I just haven't tried. Their seaweed toppings is great, I love that these are in strings versus the flat seaweed pieces that other places have. Avocados are fresh, never browning & the crab salad is a must. I do miss that they no longer offer masago for a topping, but I'm sure there's a reason whether it's accessibility or price. Friendly staff, quick service. I paid about $17 total for a regular bowl (two poke scoops, up to 5 toppings), not a bad price with a large portion. If you like poke, I'd definitely recommend stopping by.

You can pick a regular or large bowl with either salad, brown rice or white rice as your base or half/half. I had a regular bowl with spicy salmon, which was good! I don't usually eat raw, but the guy behind the counter said it was one of his favorites. They can let you sample it first before you pick it for your protein. My bowl contained spicy salmon, cooked shrimp, jalapeños, green onions, crab meat, and seaweed salad. Everything is so fresh! They have different toppings and sauces you can choose from. They were out of avocado today, :( bummer. The inside was clean, and just a quiet atmosphere. The employees are friendly, and answer any questions you may have. It's a little hidden gem.

I'm usually a little skeptical when it comes to raw fish, and unfortunately, this experience reminded me why. I built my own bowl with white rice as the base, ahi tuna and spicy salmon for my proteins, then added edamame, cucumber, corn, avocado, seaweed salad, surimi salad, and onion crisps. There were so many toppings to choose from! I wasn't sure which sauces to try, so I asked for samples. The lady accidentally mixed the sriracha aioli with the sweet shoyu, and while the combination was interesting, the sriracha aioli was a little too spicy for me. The bowl itself actually tasted really good, but unfortunately, my stomach had a different opinion. I'm not sure what didn't sit well--the raw fish, the sauce, or maybe a combination of both. Either way, I didn't feel the best afterward.

Nothing spectacular about each dish, but it all tasted the way it was supposed to taste. Even the mac salad was on point. I didn't want to order the poke as I am not used to ordering it like it was some kind of custom salad lol. If you are from Hawaii, you know what I mean lol. The prices were reasonable for the type of food and the portions. They even sell juices from back home as well. We will be to try other local dishes. Staff are friendly and fast. Lots of tables to dine at and lots of parking available.

First time I came here to try it out it was pretty dead despite the yummy food so I wanted to visit another time when I came back for a work trip and was glad to see it was PACKED! Line moved a bit slow because of that but each person had a big smile on their face despite the pressure on churning out orders which was appreciated. If you've never had poke, it's mainly raw fish marinated and chopped up served over a bed of rice and other things. You can customize it like Chipotle. Despite the Maui reference, this is not traditional Hawaiian poke so as long as you're ok with that, this place is great! I got the #8 Combo Poke which was great. Seafood was very fresh and the sauce was delicious. I also got a matcha boba - pretty well priced and good, boba was chewy and the matcha was a good flavor. But apparently, my wife mentions that this place hired the chef from a sichuan place in plano. It goes so well with rice. whatever you do, definitely get it. The duck blood "soup" also came with other items like spam, tripe and intestines and veggies.
