Their Mac salad and chicken Katsu are my fav! The katsu is like crispy but so tender ! Service is quick for fresh food !

Went here today to get a plate since i haven't been to this place for a while for a reason. And yuup definitely NEVER! NEVER EVER AGAIN going back to this place. Portions size got worse!!! Its more like $16+tax for a rice and veggies and like what 2grams of beef and 3grams of chicken?? Come on now! I wish i can give this place zero stars. If you want at least decent hawaiian just go to s.cherokee one. Also girl managaer or supervisor has a bad bad attitude. read more

Food was really good, except for the multiple peices of hair in my chicken katsu. It wasn't on top, it was inside the chicken like engraved into it. It was very disgusting, and made me loose my appetite it, and service was very slow. I get that they were busy at the time, but 20 minutes for food is a lot. read more

We got take out from here last night. When we ordered we were told it would be about 15 mins before it was done. It did not feel like it was that long, but we got our food, and when they handed it to us they reminded us to get sauces, if we wanted. The customer service was very friendly and helpful, Edith took our order and definitely had the counter covered. Our food was perfect when we got home. We appreciate the helpings, and always have enough for lunch the next day. Ambiance was great, and can't wait to return!!! read more

If you are reading this and you really want some Hawaiian BBQ, Please go to Sunshine Hawaiian BBQ immediately! It's only 4 miles away and you will thank me later. This Ono is terrible. Trust the reviews. I was craving Katsu and we were already on this side of town so we ordered me some for pick up as well as a Hawaiian Chicken meal for my hubby. But it's Hawaiian BBQ so of course we also had to get some spam musubi. I was so looking forward to them. My husband went in and grabbed the food. There were two meal containers and a side container, which matched our order. As soon as I got home and put down my bags I went for the spa musubi. I opened the container to find that had sloppily thrown some macaroni salad in a side dish and left out our musubis. I was super bummed but still hungry so we said we would give them a call after eating dinner. But we didn't eat dinner. I opened my Katsu and it looked fine so I dug in. It was soggy and the veg underneath was literally slimy. So, I moved on to the macaroni salad but it was terrible. Luke warm and tasted like rotten onions. The food was so bad, I thought I was on a prank show or something. I figured I could at least eat some rice but I actually can't even comprehend how someone could ruin rice like they did. Even a child can use a rice-maker. The rice was cold and tasted as if someone tried to steam rice but didn't add enough water so it was still hard and then just soaked the cooked rice in water or something. I mean how can steamed rice be crunchy and disgustingly mushy at the same time? We threw it all away. To be fair, I did not end up calling about the missing musubi for multiple reasons. The food was so bad it wouldn't even be worth going through the trouble of trying to get a replacement just for like $10 worth of food and I never plan on eating here again anyway. It also seemed like they purposely tried to make it look like they gave us the musubi by throwing macaroni salad in a dish and trying to make the order look complete. I cannot stress enough how not worth it this place is. There is a reason they have more one star views than all other reviews combined. Avoid them at all costs. read more

This location is very clean. The staff is welcoming and the food is cooked well and delicious .

For some reason, I missed the memo that Lodi has an Ono Hawaiian BBQ. I'm so happy I discovered (better late than never) because my Mother's Day lunch was fantastic. The food was fresh and extremely satisfying. The service was great and the price for what we got was competitive to other lunch options in the area. We will definitely be purchasing food from them in the future. read more

Food was good. First time eating here in the Lodi location. They give good portions. I had the Teriyaki chicken plate.

Slow.fully staffed and still had to wait 45min for a 20min order. Had to wait as order numbers after me are called.

Ive tried several times and I'm just not a fan of the food. I ordered to go so the service was in a timely manner.

This was the small taste of the Hawaiian islands, but in sunny Lodi, CA. I had low expectations when I went inside the restaurant, however this was quickly turned around. See my ratings below: Ambiance 3/5: Nothing special about the ambiance. They had the front door open which led it to feel extremely hot inside the restaurant. Price 4/5: I felt the price was reasonable based on the portion sizes that were given for the musubi and the chicken plate. Food 4/5: The beef musubi at Ono Hawaiian BBQ is a must-try. Well-seasoned beef wrapped in a blanket of sticky rice and nori. The combination of savory and slightly sweet flavors was amazing for sure! The young coconut for $5 was a tad expensive but very refreshing nonetheless. Paired perfectly with my food. Service 5/5: The staff were all very friendly, attentive and we struck up a great conversation about my visit to the lodi area. The wait was not long at all either. I believe I waited no more than 15 minutes for my food. I appreciate them a lot! read more

Ono Hawaiian BBQ - a table with a variety of food items - Hawaiian Near Me - Lodi, California

Me and my husband were on a long road trip and saw this ono Hawaiian bbq and we're very excited to eat and get off the road. We came in and ordered to take it with us. We both don't like a lot of rice with the order so I ordered us both a side salad instead of two rice scoops. When I worded this to the front desk gal I asked for one less rice and one extra salad, she then said one more mac salad? I said oh no, one more green salad. In a very nice way I requested this. she said oh you mean one of each? i said yes thanks! id appreciate it! paid then even tipped in the jar (wish i didnt). she then proceeded to take about 7 peoples orders as i sat there i watched all of them pay wait then leave with their food. I noticed two plates just hanging out on the line. Finally she made contact with me as she noticed i was looking around at what was happening... very very petty lady. i dont review often but i read the reviews and looks like shes done it to another person too recently. forgot to get her name. started with A, she worked thursday night 7/17 hope managment can just let her know to be nicer or less petty. read more

I watched the worked Alva package 3 orders before mine. Also seen the cook put my order up first & her slide past mines. What's the point of having order numbers if you will not follow them! Not only is it rude but just shows your incompetence. read more

Food was fresh- but the sides were incorrect though I made comments/notes on each order.

I should have trusted the reviews my online order came out to 40 minute wait and I all of the people who walked in and order received their meal before I did. What's worse is they forgot my misubi order!!!! The bbq beef is always cold as if it's precooked and not fresh. Today they were out of coke and katsu sauce. They didn't replace it. I'm going to Stockton for Onos. read more

This is a solid Hawaiian BBQ place. Pretty casual, clean, hip. Staff was efficient. There are individual tables and a big center community table, which was great. We ordered and then waited to be called up to get our food. I ordered their spicy chicken rice dish and my so. Got the katsu chicken. Both were good but the katsu chicken was really good. Perfect breading, meat texture. Their macaroni salad is also really good! read more

The food is always ok but the service is so slow! I've come to this location several times and everytime it takes 20-30 minutes to get your food. They prioritize door dash orders over people eating in or ordering at the restaurant to go. read more

I've been wanting to go here for a while and I was finally able to get Lunch here last week. I was pleasantly impressed by how great the food was. The Katsu chicken was perfect and the bbq was tender and full of flavor. Everything was fresh. I am shocked at the review scale. I would say the only thing that could be better is the service. Not a very friendly group. But the food made up for that. Cant wait to go back. read more

First off going to say people need to chill out! Unless you are a business owner you have no idea what Covid has created for small business owners. No one wants to work and sorry people have become so opinionated and have no idea what the employees that are working are enduring from entitled people having to wait a couple extra minutes or just like I am tired and were closed! I order from here once a week through DoorDash and the food is always on point, fresh, hot, flavorful and exactly what I ordered. I have ventured all over their menu and despite loving their loco moco I usually always go back to the spicy chicken plate or teriyaki combo with katsu. This place like others needs to be given a break and sorry if your on the 2nd year of unemployment and not paying your rent you have no right to post any reviews as the actual people who are working do!!! Be patient be kind it goes a long way! read more

Not sure why the bbq beef at this location tastes different than other Onos, but as for everything else in the menu, it is pretty consistent. Also a heads up, parking is terrible as there are other businesses around that share the same lot. read more

The service was mediocre per usual but I came in today at 11am to pick up my order hoping everything to be fine and the first thing I see is that they gave me a thin layer of the macaroni.$13 for a half ass plate, the only positive thing about it was that it was fresh only because it was the morning. read more

Pretty decent Hawaiian bbq chain place. Stick to the basics. The galbi wasn't that great. A bit tough.

Called ahead to order a couple mini plates. Read that food can take a long time to come out. Was told 15 mins and arrived in 20, food was ready, packaged and hot. I wanted to order a couple fountain drinks but it seemed a bit pricey. Two mini plates came out to a little over $17. Inside was busy and clean. Service was quick and all my questions were answered even though I had already ordered. I feel like I can get Hawaiian food cheaper elsewhere but the mini plate was more than enough for a quick lunch. I even had left overs! Even though it's pricey, I'll probably come back when I'm craving Hawaiian and I'm in Lodi. read more

Just stopped in for lunch and tried to order the chicken Katsu lunch plate. I don't like the Mac salad it comes with, I asked if it could just come without it. I was told due to a promotion "no substitutions". I explained I don't want any substitutions just to not put the scoop of Mac salad on the plate. I was told that isn't possible and it has to come with Mac salad. Unbelievable, I walked out. What if this was a food allergy I have? I won't be coming back. One star rating is one star too high. read more

We went there today for lunch, got good service and the white fish was absolutely wonderful. The wait was not long and it wasn't crowded at 1:15 but they seemed to be doing quite a bit of takeout. Could not get over how good the fish was, Ono I guess and the macaroni salad which I usually don't like even when I make it myself was terrific also. If I were you I would not let all the moaning and sniveling prevent me from enjoying that fantastic fish. There's a health wanted sign on virtually every restaurant in Lodi that we saw and a serious worker shortage, so how about a little patience, Amigos. read more

The food was very dry and the chicken came out burnt. Also the employees were playing very loud muslim or spanish music in the kitchen area, so loud you couldn't even hear the hawaiian music play. The employes are also very messy and unorganized, they had a huge mess, it was very dirty and one of the employes was using a very dirty towel to clean the tables, when he was done cleaning the tables he didn't even washed his hands or put gloves on and touched the other peoples food and put them in bags, very disgusting, never coming back here again. read more

My family and I went to go eat there and they had loud music playing in the dining room and loud Mexican music playing in the kitchen so yeah a head ack they were talking very loud but even worst was the food the meet was so tough and had a nasty taste like it was Frozen and the bottom of there to go plate was full of water It tasted like old bad bbq very nasty never again read more

I can't gather the stomach to go back. Last time we ordered food to go. When we got home we found TONs of hair in the Mac salad. We aren't picky by any means. My husband even pulled out the first strand without complaining. However, we had to draw the line when there was a pretty good chunk of hair mixed in. We called to complain but weren't offered a resolution. Make note, this was quite a while ago but I'm so grossed out I STILL can't bring myself to give it another try. read more

It gets worst each time. There's no other Hawaiian food near my place so this is my only option if I don't want to get out. I doordashed my order and there's no instructions to add. So I attempted to call the store multiple times but no one answers . Finally someone answers and asked me when will I pick up. I told him i doordashed it and he became upset and repeated "when will you come?!" . Had to break it down and he finally understood. Just wanted to ensure they added my sauces in as last time they didn't put any at all. Immediately and rudely he hung up when I gave him the instructions. Not to mention they exceeded the estimated arrival and my food was cold. For sure not going back. read more
