The food is GREAT authentic Mexican Barbacoa service is good too the ambiance is not bad. I wish they can open earlier I'm assuming their buffet is a boom too

Yuuuum! We enjoyed our first visit and will definitely return! Food was great and a lot of drink options. Everyone was really nice :) Chile relleno was a delish Vegetarian option

If you haven't tried La Barbacoa, you really don't know what you are missing. I've eaten at a lot of Mexican Restuarants throughout Southern California and Nevada and Arizona, and the best al pastor I've ever had is at La Barbacoa. I wish I could tell you how good the other things are on the menu, but I can't because the Al pastor is so good I just can't bring myself to try anything else (although the guacamole appetizer with chicarrones and chips is pretty spectacular too). I missed a picture of the epic presentation with the pastor on its own spit, but I'll include a picture of my sloppy taco. Tortillas are hecho el mano which makes a huge difference. I look forward to it every time I'm going through Vegas, and I'm always rewarded. I told my wife that it's amazing that even on my 4th trip here, that first bite of the pastor always sends the message to my brain saying "this is sooooo good". The service is fantastic, they are very friendly, kind and engaging. But this might be the only restaurant I would sit through bad service to eat at, thankfully I don't have to though because the servers are as awesome as the food is. Thank you so much for the good food memories La Barbacoa. I appreciate you more than you know

My girlfriend and I stopped by to get something to eat. To start off we chose the guacamole and chips. Both tasted homemade and delicious. I really had to control myself with the chips. Lol.We both had the quesabirria tacos with the consome. She had the beef and I had the goat. Both were very delicious and paired perfectly with the tamarind Jarritos sodas we had. The tacos are huge so keep that in mind with the appetizer.lol. The waitress was very nice and made sure we were attended too. The place is beautifully decorated and they were playing some classic Mexican songs that reminded me of my childhood. We will most definitely be returning to eat again.

Very respectable 4 stars! Kept seeing the feeds on IG for the tiny La Barbacoa vertical grill that comes to your table for service! Wifey heard from a co-worker this place was good so off we went one weekend to the other side of town! Upon getting inside La Barbacoa, for the lunch hour it seemed a bit slow. No matter though, let's go! Sat down and was served right away. Complimentary chips & salsa! Wifey & I ordered: *Trompo Azteca (Pastor-Pork for 2) - $29.99 *Nachos Aztecas with Asada - $13.99 Oh you KNOW I had to get in on that Trompo Azteca! Bring that mini vertical grill to my table, stat! Oh and they did! What a fun way to serve their Trompo Azteca! I only wish it was a real grill that kept your meat and tortillas heated up! Too bad it was just a candle or LED candle in the back grill compartment that made it light up LOL! But A+ for creativity! The Trompo Azteca was delicious! Very good pastor flavor, meat wasn't dry at all. Make sure when you use your knife to cut down the meat pile, you get a tiny piece of pineapple as well to put on your tortilla when making a taco! Fun to make - and just as fun to eat! The trompo with the pineapple, pickled onions, fresh cilantro & onion, and a dash of salsa on top...what a heavenly bite! My only complaint is that as you let the trompo sit longer on the vertical grill, the quicker it cools down. By my last taco, the meat was on the cold side. Still good though! The Nachos Aztecas with Asada were yummy too! Their house-made chips are on the thinner side which I like. There was an ample amount of cheese & asada on each layer so every bite had goodies on them! And again, their pickled onions added to these nachos added a nice flavor punch! Great eats, especially with a cerveza! Service was fast & friendly, and we got a refill of tortillas for our trompo no charge. Great portions for the price! If it works for the likes of Keith Lee then it works for me! La Barbacoa we shall return!

Probably the best meal I have ever eaten. We got the Trompo Azteca and queso fundido. It was incredible. The way it was served was so cute and fun. The chivo quesabirria tacos were perfectly tender with a slight crispness on the edges. The Jamaica was delicious and not overly sweet. This place was referred to as a hidden gem and I can't agree more. Do not pass this place up! read more

The service was good there was one waitress and she was nice but it was very slow. It took about 20 min to get our food. The over all look is nice and clean but kinda of dim. They have music but not too loud. Food wise nothing was really authentic. The torta ahogada tasted like oregano like way too much being from Guadalajara I know tortas ahogadas they usually ask how spicy and give you the hot sauce on the side. Here that wasn't even an option it just came as is with a thick sauce that tasted like oregano. The barbacoa wasn't as clean as it could be it was very gamy. Rice was cooked evenly. Beans were also probably can or bag. Wouldn't come back or recommend. For one taco order and two tortas with 3 drinks it was $80! You should skip it read more

Rosie is such an awesome waitress. We got 1/2lb Carnitas with toppings to make it into a taco. Good nieve frita too (fried ice cream)!-Best I've had. We originally wanted the 1/2 Lamb, but they had sold out by midday; probably a good sign! Also good music playing at a reasonable volume. read more

Awesome, awesome and more awesome! Looking for a great lunch near the Las Vegas convention center, and we found it! So many great authentic Mexican dishes on the menu, it was tough to choose; but landed on the Barbacoa nachos because we wanted to keep lunch somewhat light... yet, walked away full and satisfied! Great chips and salsa, and enjoyed the trio of hot sauces... Hot, hotter and hottest - great for sprinkling on our nachos...excellent service and great atmosphere! We'll be back! Can't wait. I found this restaurant on Instagram and knew I had to try it immediately. When I finally got opportunity to try them, they did NOT disappoint. The restaurant itself is not in the best neighborhood, but it's very neat and clean inside. Our server, Rosa, was awesome - she really allowed us to have a good time. And the food?! My God! The food is AMAZING! My friends and I are already planning our trip back. We've been joking that we've been dreaming about their food. The food was amazing. I don't love Mexican food and it's a little hard to please everyone because we all have different tastes. Everyone in our family not only approved but thought it was excellent. The lamb was the best meat I've ever had. It's a great place for kids as well, the kids meal is served in these cute little grocery carts or grocery baskets. The food is very authentic and don't even get me started on the deserts. They were so good. The service is great they're all so nice and fast. Theres live music till 4 and at first we actually thought it was a Mexican radio it was so good. 100% recommend, we will definitely be eating here again. read more

I think this is the best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. From the moment you call them to the moment you leave, they are so welcoming and so nice. My daughter learned about this place from a Keith Lee review so we came to check it out. The birria tacos were fantastic! Make sure you request the consome because it was the best I've ever had. Also the birria fries were divine. The fries are battered and crispy. The tortilla chips were freshly made and perfectly salted. They bring out 3 different salsas to go with the meal that we're all very tasty! Rosie was our server and she was amazing! Very friendly and personable. We will be back! read more

Horrible service, they have a little team work, I have been more than an hour here and we just got our drinks, we still waiting for our meal, .... 1 hour for stuff it supposed that it's already prepaid? I don't think so you are cooking order per order taking all the cook since raw For the owner: I think u can come and help your team, and if you are with them (today), come on, help them touching the tables, because u need more quality in service!!! And please fix ur A/C if you want your customers are doing well in the stay here For the kitchen: THE FOOD IS AMAZING, but time is TERRIBLE!!!! I came to Vegas for a few days and I decided to look up a few places for Mexican food. So glad that I decided on this place! The food was delicious! Started with some table guacamole as an appetizer and it was served with chicharrones, bomb! The red and guacamole salsa are so good and spicy. My wife and I shared the barbacoa de res and alpastor tacos had so much flavor and the homemade tortillas was a plus! So much delicious food and great service! Omg this place was so good. We kept seeing posts on instagram and always said if we go to Vegas well stop by. We'll we're in Vegas and it didn't disappoint. It is a little off the strip but the service was amazing! We loved our waitress. The food was delicious and presentation was so so pretty. We got tacos and they were great size and super yummy. very family owned feel but would definitely recommend for some good, authentic food. Will def be back. read more

The chips and salsa set the precedent for the rest of the meal. The chips were stale, the salsa was watered down. I ordered the guacamole appetizer which was good accept it came with stale pork rines. The meal I ordered was nachos, stupid me it had stale chips just like the complimentary ones. With a pile of canned cheese. The food was displayed very nice, but it tasted expired except for the produce which was very fresh along with the canned nacho cheese. read more

EAT HERE!! We took a Lyft from our hotel and were NOT disappointed! Carne asada fries are EVERYTHING! Rice and beans and the homemade chips and salsas are literally the best I've ever had! We are visiting from Colorado! We found this restaurant in highest rated in top 10 of restaurants in Las Vegas! They aren't wrong! I think they are very comfort food for dating or anniversary or celebration of their birthday! Their service was very excellent and friendly to Deaf community! We are definitely come and visit every time we visit! Yall must try their Queso fundido Azteca, added asada (beef) or pastor (pork) for appetizer! I personally wouldn't order cocktails here again, but I would absolutely come back for the food. The building itself is charming with beautiful lights all throughout, and they were able to seat us immediately. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth visiting for the food alone.

Definitely recommend going when they first open because otherwise it doesn't matter the time or day of the week, the lines are extremely long! Love how spacious the restaurant and how organized it is! Once inside the restaurant, there are several lines and you just line up according to which meat and item you want. The longest lines are definitely the asada and adobada (pork)! Once you reach the front of the line, you just tell the staff which and how many of the item you want, as well as any customizations to it. The beef was packed with flavor and marinated so well! The pico de gallo was so delicious, as well as the salsa and guac. The Horchata was ok and nothing special since it wasn't made from scratch like the phenomenal tacos! Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and my food. Definitely would recommend and return!

The street corn was delicious too, and the Chicken Parm Mexicana was such a fun twist on a classic. Crispy chicken, flavorful sauce, and perfectly melted Chihuahua cheese. For drinks, I had the Toca Margarita and loved it. Super fresh and well balanced. Service was great throughout the night and the atmosphere made it such a fun place for our group dinner before the No Doubt concert at the Sphere. Would absolutely come back on another Vegas trip!!

I've lived in Vegas a little over a year and have been to quite a few Mexican restaurants since moving here and I can honestly say this is the best Mexican restaurant in Vegas. There might be one better but I haven't found it yet. Definitely worth checking out, every time I come here I leave in a much better mood than when I entered. Great staff, great food and overall great times. Don't forget to try the corona-rita, I might never want a regular margarita again after having this one.
