Came here for some ramen. Very hipster vibe. Also got the buns. The shoyu ramen came with chashu and a poached egg. Poached egg was weird, but I kept an open mind. Broth tasted like roasted vegetables? Maybe roasted bones? and salt. There was a lot of charred flavor in the broth. Usually the broth is made where you can finish it after the ramen, but this was so salty, couldn't do it. The broth had no shoyu flavor. It was peppery, not spicy. The chashu had no flavor, initially I thought maybe it was because the broth was so damn salty. Onto the buns. 3 types: Fried chicken, mushroom, chashu. Mushroom one had good flavor. Chicken one was ok, chashu had no flavor. Not sure where all these high ratings came from. Maybe they had an off day. We had a ramen soup with pork that was delicious. I ordered the ribs and noodles and by far they are my favorite! They do not have broth but the bbq on the ribs is more then enough. We orders edamame and dumplings and they were amazing. This is a must try place. Loved it! read more

This place has definitely seen better days. Came in for dinner, ordered edamame and the "steamed buns" for an appetizer and shared the ramen. Edamame could definitely use some finishing salt, the steamed buns have definitely been better in the past. I'm not sure if they changed the "types" but these ones aren't it. Yes! Yes! Yes! I love this place! Been here 4 or 5 times and it keeps getting better each time. So good! I can taste that Pecan broth in my dreams! It's so delicious. There's a certain something to be said for obtaining the unobtainable. That is how dining with Oni Noodles feels. Everything is amazing and prepared with care in the open kitchen while you watch the masters at work. I had both the ramen brown with pork belly and some pork belly steam buns with peaches. So amazing. I cannot recommend stopping by enough, just make sure you plan ahead. Food was incredibly expensive for the proportions you get. Got a cucumber salad and paid $7 and got 15 slices of cucumbers at least. A ramen bowl was $15 and was very salty and IS NOT a shareable plate like they said. Only thing I was pleased about was the tartare but even then was very small for the price. I've been following them on the 'gram for quite a while now. And since they only appear once a month it has been hard to catch them. But this all changed one fateful Sunday afternoon, when they had their last appearance at Marble Brewery for the season. I think they go on Summer break since nobody craves ramen at a brewery when it's 90 degrees outside. Anyway, food truck opens at 12. I arrived at 12:40 and there was already a long line. Don't care though, because I desparately need to experience this ramen. I ordered the pork ramen and added-on the smoked bone marrow. My God, I've never been to smoked-meat-heaven before, but on that day I had an out-of-body experience in which I had tantric visions of the pork belly being smoked for hours on end. It wasn't just the pork belly in which you could taste the labor of love. The grilled turnips, grilled bok choy, and soft boiled egg. Every single ingredient was meticulously cooked, fermented, grilled to perfection. I honestly don't mind waiting an hour for Oni ramen once they start back up again. read more

Oni Noodles is a fun, delicious, friendly food truck serving up ramen in Abq. The first time I experienced their ramen was at a pop up they did at Boxing Bear westside. I ordered their garlic chile noodles which is a bit of a detour from the classic ramen because it isn't served with a broth. What it did contain was an absolutely delicious combination of kimchi, noodles, egg, and garlic chile- a real winning combination of flavors. We shared some pork dumplings which were tasty and my boyfriend had the shoyu with smoked bone marrow added in. The bone marrow adds this depth and savory flavor that is out of this world and our pup enjoyed chewing on the bone after. They do a solid job of presenting delicious eats. Reminds me of the quality that you can expect from food trucks in Austin. I highly recommend you catch them at one of their locations. I went to their pop up at the Marble brewery downtown today. I had been wanting to try this place for about a year. Finally got the chance. Been recommended for it by my co worker, and lots of online pics. So I was expecting the best. Anyway, they had a limited menu. Like 5 items or so. No tonkotsu ramen or pork buns on the menu. I ordered the shoysu ramen. Not sure of the difference. Anyway, I ordered extra noodles. $3 for extra noodles? Very pricey for the small amount you get. I had wanted to try the bone marrow, but that's $5. No thanks. Overall, very salty. Too salty for me. Small bowl. I was served a plastic bowl, while others got a ceramic bowl. Maybe they ran out of ceramics?; although I got there 3 hours after opening. The pork belly was okay. A little too oily for me. Again, everything was overpowered by the salt. The ramen might be good if you've been drinking a lot of alcohol, are dehydrated, and need salty stuff. I went there for the ramen, not the beer. I was disappointed. I'd probably not get it again. A little pricey for what you get. I will go to O ramen or Nori in Rio Rancho next time. read more
