Often times with fusion spots, one cuisine is better than the other, but at Pho Lodge, everything was on point! They have very generous portions and we even had leftovers. The vibe/decor is Vietnamese meets Midwest (think country, fishing, hunting) which was a first for us. They definitely lean into the "lodge" ambiance! From cabbages stuffed egg roll's to my favorite, stuffed chicken wings and the fresh spring rolls. This place has you covered. That is not it as they also have another favorite of mine pho. The mouthwatering beef/chicken and noodle soup from Vietnam. It was dynamite. The only short fall I can see for the menu is it could use a few more items to round out the already flavorful bunch of dishes it carries now. Like a vermicelli bowl or some banh mi sandwiches. This place is pretty great as is but the last and most important reason to visit and become a frequent visitor is Nana herself. Every time I have been here. I have seen Nana not only cooks the food but interact with people. She is a breath of fresh air. With most business these days often forgetting the foundation of their business is the people. She brought a warm feeling to me. That felt like stopping by to visit a friend. Her interactions with the people around and even the children in the place was in my opinion one of the biggest highlights of the whole experience. Nana's is not fancy but when you are here you feel like you're being treated by the best. This is why Nana's will be one of my go to spots me and my family for as long as she is around.

It was funny because one of the ladies said, "If you don't ask, you don't get!", and we laughed about it. The eggrolls? Thinner and much less bubbly than the normal rolls you get from a Chinese restaurant. Just crispy enough and FULL of meat and fillings. Delicious with the sweet and sour sauce (I believe tastes homemade.) The stuffed wing? Now I've had stuffed wings at Mei's kitchen in GB, the Asian supermarket in GB, but THIS one was stuffed to the gills with meat and noodles. DELICIOUS!
